Zong eSIM in Pakistan: Rs 1,500 Price, Supported Phones List and Activation Steps
Zong eSIM costs Rs 1,500 at a service centre. See the supported phones by brand, the iPhone and Android activation steps, and the PTA IMEI step people miss.

A Zong eSIM costs Rs 1,500 at a Zong Customer Service Centre. You get it after biometric verification, either on a new number or by converting your existing Zong number, and you activate it by scanning a QR code printed on a voucher. Zong lists iPhones from the XR to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, Pixel phones and many Samsung, Xiaomi and vivo models as supported.
An eSIM is a SIM built into the phone, so there is no card to insert. It lets a dual-SIM phone keep two numbers while the card tray holds only one, and it cannot fall out or be swapped by a thief in a minute. Below are Zong's price, the steps for iPhone and Android, the supported phone list by brand, and the PTA step most people miss.
Zong charges Rs 1,500 for an eSIM at its service centres
Zong's eSIM page says Rs 1,500 is charged for an eSIM at Zong Customer Service Centres. You can take it on a new number booked through Zong, or by replacing your current Zong SIM with an eSIM.
We read Zong's eSIM page and its SIM price page on 27 October 2026. Both give Rs 1,500. The same amount appears on Jazz's eSIM page that day, so the two networks now charge the same. Prices for all networks are compared in eSIM prices on Jazz, Zong and Ufone.

Get the QR at a service centre after biometric verification
You cannot order a Zong eSIM online. Visit a Zong service centre or franchise with your original CNIC, give your fingerprints, and collect a voucher with the QR code. Zong then links your number to the eSIM profile.
Zong's page describes the back-office part in one line: after biometric verification, your mobile number and the eSIM's ID are mapped to an eSIM profile. For a new number, you can choose one first on Zong's Book Your Number portal and collect it at the centre. Rules for that are in how to buy a new Zong SIM.
Go with your phone charged and connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data, because the eSIM downloads over the internet. Zong describes the conversion as replacing your existing number with an eSIM, so expect the old plastic card to stop working for that number. Scan the code during the visit, while staff can help.
Scan the QR from Settings on iPhone or Android
On iPhone, go to Settings, Cellular, Add Cellular Plan and scan. On Android, go to Settings, SIM card manager, eSIM, Add mobile plan and scan. The phone must be online while it downloads the profile.
- Connect the phone to Wi-Fi or another data connection.
- On iPhone: Settings, then Cellular, then Add Cellular Plan. The camera opens.
- On Android: Settings, then SIM card manager, then eSIM, then Add mobile plan.
- Scan the QR code on the voucher Zong gave you.
- Wait for the profile to download, then set which line is used for calls and data.
One detail differs between Zong's two pages. Its SIM price page says to type the default code "0000" if asked. The newer eSIM page leaves that line out. If your phone asks for a code, try 0000 first, then call 310.
Menu names change by brand. On some Android phones the option is under Connections, then SIM manager. The general method is in how to activate an eSIM in Pakistan.

Zong lists iPhones, Pixels and many Samsung, Xiaomi and vivo models
Zong's list covers iPhone XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, Samsung's S20 to S26 and Z Fold and Flip ranges, several Galaxy A 5G models, and recent Xiaomi, Redmi Note Pro, POCO, vivo and Tecno phones.
| Brand | Examples on Zong's list |
|---|---|
| Apple | iPhone XR, XS, XS Max, SE, 11 to 17 series, 16e, 17e, Air, 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max |
| Samsung | Galaxy S20 to S26, Z Fold and Flip, Galaxy A16 5G, A17 5G, A25 5G, A26 5G, A35 5G, A36, A55, A56, A57 |
| Pixel 3 to Pixel 11 series, Pixel Fold | |
| Xiaomi, Redmi, POCO | Xiaomi 13 to 17, Redmi Note 13 Pro to 15 Pro+, POCO F8 Pro, X7 |
| vivo, Tecno, Infinix | vivo V29 to V70, X200, X300; Tecno Camon 50 Pro, Pova 8; Infinix Note 60 |
The list also names Oppo, Honor, Huawei, Motorola, Nothing, OnePlus, Realme, Sharp and Sony models, many by model code rather than name. A model on the list does not mean every variant supports eSIM. Phones sold for some markets have the eSIM chip switched off, so check Settings for an "Add eSIM" option before you pay Rs 1,500.

Register the eSIM's IMEI with PTA or the phone can be blocked
An eSIM switches on the phone's second IMEI. Zong tells you to send both IMEIs to 8484 and email screenshots of IMEI 1 and IMEI 2 to typeapproval@pta.gov.pk for whitelisting, and to pay the phone's PTA tax first if it is unpaid.
This is the step that catches people. A phone whose first IMEI is registered can still show the second as unregistered, and DIRBS, PTA's device system, may block it. Dial *#06# to see both numbers. If PTA's reply shows a problem, the fixes are in DIRBS registration errors.
Keep the voucher safe. Zong says you can re-scan the same QR if you change phones or the eSIM profile is deleted, and that you should never share it, because anyone with the QR can load your number.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 27 October 2026. We read Zong's eSIM page and its SIM price page, including the full supported handset list and FAQ, and Jazz's eSIM page for the price comparison. The PTA email address was decoded from Zong's page. We did not buy an eSIM or test activation, and we did not confirm which regional variants of each model have eSIM switched on.
