AIOU Assignment Schedule Autumn 2026: Every Due Date for Matric, FA, BA, B.Ed and BS
AIOU's first Autumn 2026 assignment is due 15 December for Matric, FA and BA. See every date for B.Ed, BS and BBA, the late rule and where to find your tutor.
The first AIOU assignment for Autumn 2026 is due on 15 December 2026 for Matric, FA and BA students on 6 credit hour (full credit) courses. B.Ed, ATTC and PGD students submit their first by 1 January 2027, and BS, BBA and Associate Degree (ODL) students by 5 January 2027. Matric and FA students still post assignments to their tutor, while every BA, B.Ed and BS program now submits online on the Aaghi LMS.
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) publishes three separate schedules, two of them in Urdu, and students often read the wrong one. We read all three on 2 November 2026 and put every due date in one place below, with the rules on late work, how the dates are counted and where to find your tutor.
Autumn 2026 study runs from November 2026 to February 2027
AIOU's schedules give the Autumn 2026 study period as November 2026 to February 2027. The BA and higher programs schedule is more exact: 16 November 2026 to 28 February 2027. All assignment dates fall inside that window.
The number of assignments depends on the size of each course. A full credit course, 6 credit hours at Matric and FA level, has four assignments. A half credit course, 3 credit hours, has two. B.Ed, BS and the other degree programs have two assignments per course in this schedule.
Matric and FA assignments are due on 15 December, 8 January, 30 January and 20 February
Matric (Science, General and Dars-e-Nizami), FA (General and Dars-e-Nizami), FSc and ICom use the same dates. A 6 credit hour course has assignments due on 15 December 2026, 8 January 2027, 30 January 2027 and 20 February 2027. A 3 credit hour course has two, due 8 January and 20 February 2027.

These two schedules are in Urdu and come from AIOU's Directorate General of Regional Services. They tell Matric and FA students to send assignments to their assigned tutor by registered post. If you hand one in at your study centre, take a receipt from the tutor.
The due date is the day your assignment must reach the tutor
AIOU says the dates are the last dates for assignments to reach the tutor, not the last dates to post them. Work that arrives after the due date is treated as late, will not be accepted, and the responsibility is the student's. So post at least a week early.
This is the rule students miss most. Registered post from a small town can take several days, and the date that counts is the arrival date. You can find your tutor's name and address on enrollment.aiou.edu.pk, or from your regional office.
The Matric and FA schedules also set study centre meetings from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, where you can meet your tutor and other students. AIOU adds that Spring 2027 admissions open in January 2027, and registered students can download the admission form from the enrollment site.
BA, B.Ed, BS and BBA students upload on Aaghi LMS by these dates
The English schedule for BA, ATTC, B.Ed, Associate Degree, BS, BBA and postgraduate programs says all of them must submit assignments online on the Aaghi LMS. It gives separate dates for each program group.

Note that the BA and B.Com fourth assignment falls on 15 February, five days earlier than the Matric and FA fourth assignment on 20 February. Do not copy a friend's dates from another program.
Quizzes and tutor disputes have their own rules
For the online programs, AIOU says the quiz is a compulsory part of the online workshop, and a student who skips it cannot pass the course. Workshop dates come through your LMS account, and AIOU sends login details by SMS to the number you gave.
AIOU also says any dispute about missing tutor details or assignment submission must be settled before the final result of that course. It will not consider any claim after that. So if your tutor is not showing, or your upload fails, report it to your regional office straight away, with your name, registration number, course code, semester and address.

- Download your course books from the AIOU website, LMS or app.
- Post Matric and FA work by registered post at least a week early.
- BA, B.Ed and BS students: upload each assignment on Aaghi LMS before its date.
- Keep the postal receipt or LMS confirmation until your result is out.
