AIOU Assignment Upload on Aaghi LMS: BA and B.Com Autumn 2026 Rules, PDF Steps and Fixes
AIOU BA and B.Com students must upload Autumn 2026 assignments as PDF on aaghi.aiou.edu.pk, not by post. Who it covers, PDF steps, upload fixes, scam warning.

AIOU says every Associate Degree in Arts and Commerce student (the old BA and B.Com) and every open course BA student must upload all Autumn 2026 assignments as PDF files on the Aaghi LMS portal, aaghi.aiou.edu.pk. Assignments sent to tutors by registered post or by hand are no longer allowed, for new and continuing students alike.
Allama Iqbal Open University posted this rule in October 2026 as an important announcement for all students. It changes how BA and B.Com students submit work they used to post. Below is who the rule covers, how to turn handwritten pages into one PDF, what to check before you press upload, and the warning AIOU has issued about people selling "solved" assignments. We read both notices on aiou.edu.pk on 25 October 2026.
AIOU BA and B.Com assignments go only through Aaghi from Autumn 2026
The Directorate of Regional Services notice says that from the Autumn 2026 semester, all new and continuing students of the Associate Degree in Arts and Commerce and of BA open courses will upload every assignment to the Aaghi LMS. No assignment may go to a tutor by registered post or by hand.
| Who | Covered by the Aaghi rule? | How to submit |
|---|---|---|
| Associate Degree in Arts (old BA), new students | Yes | PDF upload on aaghi.aiou.edu.pk |
| Associate Degree in Arts, continuing students | Yes | PDF upload on aaghi.aiou.edu.pk |
| Associate Degree in Commerce (old B.Com) | Yes | PDF upload on aaghi.aiou.edu.pk |
| BA open courses | Yes | PDF upload on aaghi.aiou.edu.pk |
| Other programmes | Not named in this notice | Follow your programme's own instructions |
The notice names only these programmes. If you study something else, such as BS or B.Ed, check your own programme guide or ask your regional office. Do not assume the rule is the same.

Handwritten or typed is fine, but the file must be a PDF
AIOU's notice allows assignments written by hand or typed, as long as you upload them in PDF format. So you can still write on paper. You just scan the pages into one PDF file before uploading, rather than posting the paper copy.
That is good news for students without a computer. A phone is enough. The trick is getting every page, in order and readable, into one file. A blurry photo of page three is the most common reason a tutor cannot mark what you wrote.
- Write or type the full assignment, with your name, roll number, course code and assignment number on the first page.
- Lay each page flat in daylight and scan it with a scanner app or Google Drive's scan option.
- Put the pages in order and save them as a single PDF.
- Name the file clearly, for example your roll number, course code and assignment number.
- Open the PDF once on your phone and read every page before uploading.
If you have never made a PDF on a phone, scanning documents to PDF with Google Drive takes about two minutes once you know the steps.

Upload on aaghi.aiou.edu.pk and keep proof of every submission
Sign in to the Aaghi LMS at aaghi.aiou.edu.pk, open the course, find the assignment and upload your PDF. Then check that the upload shows as submitted and take a screenshot. That screenshot is your proof if a mark goes missing.
We opened aaghi.aiou.edu.pk on 25 October 2026. It loads a sign in page titled AAGHI LMS. We do not have a student account, so we could not see the course pages, the file size limit or the exact wording of the upload button.
Upload early. Every BA and B.Com student in the country now uses the same portal, and the night before a cut-off date is when it will be busiest. A file that fails at 11 pm has nowhere else to go, because the post and tutor routes are closed.
AIOU has not posted Autumn 2026 assignment dates on its schedule page
The Assignments Schedule page on aiou.edu.pk did not show Autumn 2026 cut-off dates when we checked on 25 October 2026. Your due dates should appear inside the course on Aaghi and in your study pack. Ask your regional office if you cannot find them.
Students who are still sitting Spring 2026 papers should not mix the two semesters. Spring 2026 exams run until 31 October, and checking an AIOU Spring 2026 exam date by course code shows what is left. Autumn 2026 assignments are separate work for the new semester.
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Cannot sign in to Aaghi | Contact your AIOU regional office or call 051-111-112-468 |
| Upload fails or file too large | Rescan at lower quality and try again, early in the day |
| Uploaded the wrong file | Ask your tutor through the LMS before the due date |
| No due date visible | Check the course page, then ask the regional office |
Do not pay anyone who offers to solve your AIOU assignments
AIOU's Directorate of Regional Services has warned that fake people contact students by message, call and social media offering to solve assignments, workshops and quizzes for money. The university asks students not to deal with them and reserves the right to act against them.
The warning is worth taking seriously for two reasons. You lose the money, and you hand a stranger your roll number and login. A bought assignment is also the student's own risk if it is copied from someone else.
For real help, AIOU tells students to use its website, the nearest regional office, the student advisory service or its call centre at 051-111-112-468. If you want help studying rather than copying, using ChatGPT study mode to prepare can explain a topic, but the assignment you upload must be your own work.

Other AIOU deadlines this autumn
The Aaghi rule is one of several AIOU changes this season. Internship report 9336 and capstone project 9337 have their own extended deadline of 30 October 2026. Plan around both if you are in your final year.
The AIOU internship report and capstone extension to 30 October applies to final-year students. Graduates waiting on paperwork can follow the AIOU degree certificate application and its tracking.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Directorate of Regional Services notice on Aaghi uploads, posted in October 2026, and its warning on fake assignment solvers on the AIOU website, viewed the assignment schedule page, and opened the Aaghi LMS sign in page on 25 October 2026. Both notices are in Urdu and the summaries here are our translation. We could not sign in, so file size limits and cut-off dates are not confirmed.
