AIOU Result Check by Roll Number: CMS, Web Result Site and Old Results From 2002 to 2020
Check your AIOU result by roll number: CMS and web site for recent semesters, old system for 2002 to 2020, Spring 2026 status, fixes and the exam helpline.
AIOU results are on two systems. For recent semesters, sign in to the AIOU CMS at enrollment.aiou.edu.pk, or use the web based result site at trn.aiou.edu.pk. For any semester from Spring 2002 to Autumn 2020, use AIOU's old result system at result.aiou.edu.pk with your roll number, level and semester.
Allama Iqbal Open University links all of these from its own results page. The Spring 2026 papers run until 31 October, and until 3 November at some centres in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, so many students will be looking for a result soon. AIOU had not announced a result date when we checked.
We opened AIOU's results page and each result site on 28 October 2026. Below is which site covers which result, the exact search fields, what to do when a site will not load, and who to contact.
AIOU result check: which site covers which semester
AIOU's results page, titled "Results (Current & Previous)", lists three old result tools and two current ones. The old tools stop at Autumn 2020. For later semesters the menu points to "Results CMS" and "Results (Web Based)". Pick the site by the semester you need.
| Result you need | Where AIOU puts it | What you enter |
|---|---|---|
| Recent semesters, through your student account | Results CMS, enrollment.aiou.edu.pk | Your CMS login |
| Recent semesters, web based | trn.aiou.edu.pk | As the site asks (it did not load for us) |
| One semester, 2002 to 2020 | result.aiou.edu.pk, Semester wise Detail | Level, semester, year, roll number |
| Full history, Spring 2002 to Autumn 2020 | result.aiou.edu.pk, Complete History | Level, roll number |
| Provisional certificate | result.aiou.edu.pk, Provisional Certificate | Semester, roll number |
The roll number is the key in every case. It is on your admission form and your roll number slip. If you have lost both, the CMS is the easier route, since you sign in with your own account rather than a number.
How to check a current AIOU result on the CMS
The CMS (Campus Management System) at enrollment.aiou.edu.pk is the same account students use for admission and enrolment. It opens to a sign in page. Once inside, the result sits in your student records with your other semester details.
- Open aiou.edu.pk and choose Results, then Results CMS.
- Sign in with the CMS user ID and password from your admission.
- Open your student or academic records section.
- Choose the semester, for example Spring 2026, and view the grades.
- Save or print the page until your result card arrives.
We could not sign in, since that needs a student account, so the menu names inside may differ a little. If you have forgotten the password, use the reset option on the sign in page before you call anyone. Students who uploaded work through the learning portal will already know the account, and our page on AIOU assignment upload covers that side.
How to check an old AIOU result from 2002 to 2020
The old system at result.aiou.edu.pk has two searches. "Semester wise Detail" asks for the level of your degree, the semester (Spring or Autumn), the year from 2002 to 2020, and your roll number. "Complete History" asks only for the level and roll number, and shows every semester at once.
The level list has 13 options: All Levels or Programmes, M.Phil, Master's, Bachelor, B.Ed, Higher Secondary School Certificate, Secondary School Certificate, Diploma in Education, Post Graduate Diploma, PTC, CT, ATTC and French Online. The roll number box accepts letters and numbers only, so leave out dashes and spaces.
This is the route for anyone who studied years ago and now needs a record for a job, a degree or an HEC process. If you need the degree itself rather than a result, the steps and documents are in our page on how to apply for an AIOU degree or certificate.
The third tool, "Provisional Certificate (Web Based)", asks for a semester and a roll number. When we opened it, its semester list showed only one option, Spring 2010. It looks like an old tool, so do not rely on it for recent results.
AIOU has not set a Spring 2026 result date yet
AIOU had not announced a date on its news list on 28 October 2026. The papers are still running. The last result notice on that list was for the Spring 2025 face to face programmes, posted on 14 September 2025. Watch the news list on aiou.edu.pk rather than social media posts.
The exam calendar matters here. The main Spring 2026 date sheet runs papers from 1 September to 31 October 2026, and AIOU moved some Khyber Pakhtunkhwa papers to 2 and 3 November. Results come after all papers are marked. The schedule is set out in our page on the AIOU Spring 2026 exam dates by course code.
| Stage | Date |
|---|---|
| Spring 2026 papers, main date sheet | 1 September to 31 October 2026 |
| Moved papers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa | 2 and 3 November 2026 |
| Spring 2026 result | Not announced on 28 October 2026 |
When an AIOU result site does not load
On 28 October the web based site, trn.aiou.edu.pk, returned a server error over a plain connection and a security error over a secure one. The old result system and the CMS sign in page both loaded. If one site fails, try the other, and try again outside peak hours.
- Server error. Wait and retry later. A 500 error is AIOU's server, not your phone.
- No result found. Check the level and the semester. A B.Ed result will not show under Bachelor.
- Roll number refused. Remove dashes and spaces. The box takes letters and numbers only.
- Result missing for one course. Write to the examination department at exam@aiou.edu.pk with your roll number and course code.
AIOU's helpline is 051-111-112-468, and its general email is support@aiou.edu.pk. It also runs a help desk at support.aiou.edu.pk. Checking a result is free on all of AIOU's sites. Ignore anyone who asks for money to show or change a result.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
On 28 October 2026 we read AIOU's results page and homepage news list, and opened the old result system's semester wise search, its complete history and provisional certificate pages, the CMS sign in page and trn.aiou.edu.pk. We did not run a search with a real roll number and could not sign in to the CMS. The Spring 2026 exam dates come from AIOU's date sheet and KP notice as we reported them earlier in October.
