The Balochistan Board (BBISE Quetta) has issued the date sheet for the SSC (matric) Annual Examination 2027: papers for 9th and 10th class run from 1 December to 29 December 2026, in a morning session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and an evening session from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The first paper is 9th class Arts and Dress Designing, and the last is 10th class Geography and Education.

Balochistan sits its annual matric exam in winter, months before most other boards, so this sheet catches families off guard every year. Below is every paper by date for both classes, what "Old" and "New + PBA" mean on the sheet, a date error to be aware of, and where to get the 9th class DMC that the board put online on 23 October.

BBISE matric exams 2027 run from 1 to 29 December 2026

The notification, Ref No. SSC 3352-3400, dated 16 October 2026 and signed by the Controller of Examinations, says the SSC Annual Examination 2027 begins on 1 December 2026. The board posted it on its website on 17 October. The last papers are on 29 December 2026.

There is a small error on the sheet itself. The opening sentence calls 1 December a Wednesday, but the table lists 01/12/2026 as Tuesday, and Tuesday is correct for that date. Go by the date, not the day name.

Tenth class students sit papers on 12 days. The composite MCQ practical paper is on 23 December.

Ninth class papers alternate with 10th class days. Urdu is on 8 December, English on 10 December, Physics and General Science on 12 December, Islamiat Compulsory on 15 December and Mathematics on 17 December. Most 9th class subjects come in an "Old" and a "New" version with separate paper codes.

Balochistan Board 10th class 2027 core paper dates

"Old" and "New + PBA" papers have different codes, so pick the right one

For 9th class, the sheet lists most subjects twice. The "Old" paper has a four-digit code, such as 5210 for Mathematics. The "New" paper has a six-digit code, such as 110111 for Mathematics, and science and skill subjects carry "+ PBA", practical-based assessment.

The sheet itself does not say who sits which version. The "New" papers carry the practical-based assessment that comes with the new scheme of studies, while "Old" papers keep the earlier pattern. Your admission form and roll number slip decide it, so check the paper code on the slip matches the one on this sheet before exam day. A wrong code on the slip is fixed at the board office, not at the exam centre.

Pakistan Studies appears only as "Old" for both classes on this sheet, and 9th class has a new Tarjumatul Quran paper on 22 December. If you are unsure which scheme applies to you, ask your school's exam in-charge this week. Other boards are moving the same way: the AJK board's practical-based assessment for matric 2027 covers four subjects.

Prepare for the timing: three days a week, three hours each

Each class sits papers roughly every second day, with Sundays free. Each session lasts three hours. That means most students get one rest day between papers, but 10th class students face a tight run from 14 to 18 December: Physics, English and Urdu.

  1. Collect your roll number slip from your school, or from the board's private portal if you are a private candidate.
  2. Match each paper code on the slip with this date sheet.
  3. Mark your session, morning or evening, next to each date.
  4. Note the exam centre and plan travel, because December mornings in Quetta, Ziarat and Kalat are very cold.
  5. Carry the roll number slip and your B-Form or CNIC to every paper.
Steps to prepare for the BBISE matric 2027 exams

Your 9th class DMC for 2026 is now online at result.bbise.edu.pk

On 23 October 2026 the board posted "Get 9th DMC, SSC Annual 2026" and linked its result search at result.bbise.edu.pk. You choose SSC, enter your roll number, the year, the session and the class, and search.

Students moving into 10th class need that 9th class record to check marks before the December papers. If you lost a printed card from an earlier year, the duplicate DMC process at BBISE Quetta is separate. Intermediate students have their own forms deadline: BBISE HSSC Annual 2027 exam forms are open with a single fee until 13 November.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the BBISE Quetta notifications page on bbiseqta.edu.pk and downloaded the two-page date sheet PDF (Ref No. SSC 3352-3400, dated 16 October 2026) from bbise.edu.pk on 24 October 2026. The PDF is a scan, so we read it page by page from the images; we checked each date against its day name and found only the error in the opening line. We also opened the result search at result.bbise.edu.pk. Roll number slip release dates were not on the board's pages when we checked.
