BHC Case Status Check Online: Balochistan High Court and District Courts by Case Number
Check a Balochistan High Court case status on portal.bhc.gov.pk by bench, category, number and year, plus district courts, cause lists and certified copies.

To check a Balochistan High Court case status online, open portal.bhc.gov.pk, choose High Court Case Status, pick the bench, the case category, the case number and the year, then press search. District court cases in Balochistan have their own tab on the same portal, called District Court Case Status.
The same portal also holds the daily cause list, the certified copy status and judgments. Below we explain each search, what the result shows, how to read the cause list for Quetta and the four benches, and what to do when your case does not appear. We read every page on 27 October 2026.
The BHC portal has six public services in one place
The High Court of Balochistan runs one portal for case information at portal.bhc.gov.pk. Its menu lists High Court Case Status, District Court Case Status, Cause List, Certified Copy Status, Judgments and an Advocate Profile search, so most litigants never need to visit Hali Road for basic facts.
The court's own homepage at bhc.gov.pk links to the portal under Services. We opened the portal from that link rather than from a search result, which is the safest habit with any court website.
| Service | What you search with | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| High Court Case Status | Bench, category, case number, year, or Case Id | Title, bench, institution date, last and next hearing |
| District Court Case Status | Division, court, category, case number, year | Status of a case in a district or sessions court |
| Cause List | Court and date | Cases fixed for hearing that day |
| Certified Copy Status | Your copy application details | Whether the certified copy is ready |
| Judgments | Case details, judge, or date range | Downloadable judgment PDF |
| Advocate Profile | Lawyer details | Cases linked to that advocate |

A High Court case is found by bench, category, number and year
The High Court Case Status search asks for the court or bench, the case category, the case number and the case year. A second option, Search By Case Id, takes the single Case Id printed on court papers. The result lists the case title, bench, institution date and both hearing dates.
- Open bhc.gov.pk and click Case Status under Services. It opens portal.bhc.gov.pk.
- Choose High Court Case Status from the menu.
- Pick the court. Quetta is the principal seat; Sibi, Turbat, Loralai and Khuzdar are benches.
- Pick the category, for example a constitutional petition or criminal appeal, as written on your file.
- Type the case number and the year, then search. If you hold a Case Id, use Search By Case Id instead.
- Note the next hearing date and the bench, then check the cause list a day before.
The court's own FAQ says the result shows the case category, case number, case year, bench, case title, institution date, last hearing date and next hearing date. We did not have a live case number of our own, so we could not test a real result screen.

District court cases in Balochistan are searched by division
For a civil judge, magistrate or sessions court case, use District Court Case Status on the same portal. It asks for the division, the court, the category, the case number and the year. The High Court also links an older district system called CFMS-DC from its Resources menu.
The CFMS-DC page on bhc.gov.pk lists four links, and all of them are bare numeric addresses on plain http rather than a named website. When we tried them on 27 October 2026, Link-1 answered and Link-2 did not. Open these only from the High Court's own page, and never type a CNIC or password into a copy you reached any other way.
For Sindh, the district courts work differently; the steps sit with the court case status in Sindh. Islamabad cases are on the IHC case status system.
The cause list shows each bench by date, including video link courts
The Cause Lists page at bhc.gov.pk/resources/cause-lists separates the Principal Seat Quetta, the Sibi, Turbat, Loralai and Khuzdar benches, three tribunals and the district judiciary. Each list is named by bench type and number, such as Single Bench 1 or Division Bench 2.
On 27 October 2026 the Quetta lists for that day were Company Bench 1, Division Bench 1 and Single Bench 1. Lists for 26 October included Division Benches 1 to 6, 8, 9 and 10, a Larger Bench and four Single Benches. Some entries are marked Through Video Link, which means that bench sat by video.
| Bench type on the list | What it means |
|---|---|
| Single Bench | One judge hears the case |
| Division Bench | Two judges sit together |
| Larger Bench | Three or more judges |
| Company Bench | Company law matters |
| Through Video Link | The bench sits by video for that list |
Most lists under the Sibi and Turbat tabs carried the words "Additional at Principal Seat Quetta" on the days we read. The page does not explain the wording, so confirm with the Roster Branch where that bench is sitting before you travel from Sibi or Turbat.

Missing cases and certified copies are handled at two branches
If your case is not on the daily list, the court's FAQ tells you to contact the Roster Branch on the ground floor. For certified copies, the Copying Branch issues a receipt with the delivery date, and the portal's Certified Copy Status shows progress. Court records are not open online.
That last point matters. The FAQ says plainly that court records cannot be accessed online. The portal gives status and dates, not the file itself. For the order or judgment you need, apply for a certified copy, which is the same idea as the certified copy of a court order process in Punjab.
There is also a kiosk in the veranda of the High Court building with hearing information, if the website is slow.
Bring your original CNIC and come within court hours
On 1 October 2026 the High Court told every litigant and government official to bring an original CNIC to enter the building. The court sits Monday to Friday from 9 am to 1:30 pm. Fresh cases and applications are filed from 8:30 am to 2 pm.
The office itself runs Monday to Saturday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and is closed on Sunday. Parking inside the court is not allowed for the public, so use the public parking outside. The notice says original, so do not rely on a photocopy at the gate.
Common questions
Can I check a BHC case by party name?
The search fields we read on the portal are bench, category, case number, year and Case Id. We did not see a party name search for the High Court. If you only know the names, ask your lawyer or the Roster Branch for the case number.
Is the next hearing date on the portal final?
Treat it as a guide and confirm on the cause list a day before. Cases can be moved between benches, and a list can be cancelled or changed at short notice.
Where do I see a judgment in my case?
Use Judgments on portal.bhc.gov.pk. You can search by case details, by judge or by date range, and download the judgment as a PDF.
Does the portal cover the Services Tribunal?
Its cause lists do. The Cause Lists page has separate tabs for the Services Tribunal, the Customs Tribunal and the Election Tribunal.
What if the portal does not open?
Try again later, then use the kiosk at the court or call the High Court registry on 081-9202077. The High Court's FAQ also points litigants to the Roster Branch for hearing dates.
Can I complain about delay or staff conduct?
Yes. The High Court has an online complaint form under Public Desk, with categories for High Court officers and staff, subordinate court judges and subordinate court staff. Who decides a complaint against a judge in Pakistan depends on the judge's court.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the High Court of Balochistan homepage, its Cause Lists, CFMS-DC, FAQs, Opening Hours, Telephone Directory and the 1 October 2026 CNIC notice at bhc.gov.pk, and the portal menu at portal.bhc.gov.pk, on 27 October 2026. We could not run a live search without a real case number, so we have not seen a result screen ourselves. The cause list page changes daily. Courts in other provinces run separate systems for court case status online.
