How to Book a Punjab Government TDCP Resort in Murree Online
Book TDCP's Patriata, Charehan, Bansra Gali or Chewra resort in Murree online. We checked the booking steps, check-in times, ID rules and cancellation terms.

You can book a Punjab government resort in Murree online at booking.tdcp.gop.pk. Pick the resort, your dates and the number of guests, and the page shows the rooms that are free with an estimated total. Then you confirm online or through WhatsApp. Carry your original CNIC to check in.
The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) runs these resorts. Its resort list shows four stays in and around Murree: Patriata, Charehan near Lower Topa, a glamping site at Bansra Gali, and Chewra in Kotli Sattian. We opened the booking page and every resort page on 2 October 2026 to check how booking works and what the rules say.
Book early for snow season. TDCP's own Patriata page says advance booking is recommended, especially for weekends and holidays, and the rooms are few. Charehan lists only a handful of huts, cottages and lodges.

TDCP runs four resorts in the Murree hills
TDCP lists four Murree area stays on its resort pages: Patriata Resort, Charehan Resort near Lower Topa, High Glamp at Bansra Gali, and Chewra Base Resort in Kotli Sattian. Each has its own booking officer and its own room types.
| Resort | Where it is | Rooms it lists | Booking phone |
|---|---|---|---|
| TDCP Patriata Resort | Gulehra, Gali Bazar, Patriata | Patriata Huts, Tree House, Glamping Pods, Patriata Chalet | 0320 0000599, 051 3357066 |
| TDCP Charehan Resort | Murree Expressway, near Lower Topa | Pine Hut, Jasmine Cottage, Deodar Lodges | 0320 0000599, 0312 5052183 |
| TDCP High Glamp Bansra Gali | Bansra Gali, Murree | A-Frame, Glamps | 0302 1115638 |
| TDCP Chewra Base Resort | Kotli Sattian | Tree House, Glamping Pods | 0320 0000599, 0321 2406666 |
Charehan is the old one. TDCP says the rest house dates back to 1913. Its Pine Huts have 2 bedrooms and no kitchen, while Jasmine Cottage and the Deodar Lodges come with a kitchen. Deodar Lodges have 3 rooms and you can book single rooms or the whole block.
Patriata is higher up. The resort page lists the chairlift and cable car, a safari train and horse riding next to it. Chewra is newer, and TDCP calls it fully operational.
TDCP also lists resorts away from Murree, at Kallar Kahar, Khabeki Lake in the Soon Valley, Derawar in Cholistan, Taunsa Barrage and the Indus Picnic Resort near Daud Khel. They book through the same page.
Book a TDCP resort online in six steps
Open booking.tdcp.gop.pk, choose the resort, enter check-in and check-out dates, and add guests. The page loads the free rooms and an estimated total. Select a room, then press Proceed to book online or WhatsApp Now to book by message.
- Open the booking page. Go to booking.tdcp.gop.pk, or open a resort on tdcp.gop.pk and press Book Now under a room.
- Choose the resort. The page says "Choose a hotel and dates to load availability". Nothing shows until you do.
- Enter your dates and guests. The form starts with 2 adults. Change it to your real number, because extra guests beyond the room's capacity cost more.
- Pick a room. The "Your stay" box then shows the nights and an estimated total in rupees.
- Press Proceed or WhatsApp Now. Proceed takes you to online booking. WhatsApp Now opens a chat with the booking team.
- Save your confirmation ID. TDCP's policy says a booking confirmation ID is issued after a successful booking. Keep a screenshot.
We did not complete a paid booking, so we cannot say which payment methods the last screen offers. Ask the booking officer before you pay, and carry some cash for meals and rides at the resort.

Cancellation rules change from resort to resort
TDCP does not use one cancellation rule. Patriata and Bansra Gali give a full refund with 48 hours' notice. Charehan and Chewra charge 50% inside 48 hours and the full amount for a no-show. Read your resort's page before paying.
| Resort | Cancel 48 hours or more ahead | Cancel inside 48 hours | No-show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Patriata | Full refund | Not stated | Not stated |
| Bansra Gali | Full refund | Not stated | Not stated |
| Charehan | Not stated | 50% charged | 100% charged |
| Chewra | Not stated | 50% charged | 100% charged |
| Kallar Kahar | 25% advance is non-refundable | 50% charged | 100% charged |
Where a refund is due, Charehan, Chewra and Kallar Kahar say it is processed in 7 to 10 business days. If you will arrive late, tell the resort. Charehan's rules say a room is released after the first night unless the guest warns the hotel about a late arrival.

Carry your CNIC and arrive after 2 pm
Every TDCP resort page lists check-in at 2:00 pm and check-out at 12:00 noon. You must show an original ID at check-in. Most pages accept a CNIC or passport, and Patriata and Bansra Gali also accept a driving licence.
- Originals only. Kallar Kahar says all guests must present their original CNIC. A photo on your phone may not be accepted.
- No pets. Patriata and Bansra Gali do not allow pets anywhere on the premises.
- No smoking in rooms. Patriata and Bansra Gali have set smoking areas.
If you have lost your card before the trip, sort that out first, because the front desk can turn you away without ID. The steps for a lost CNIC start with a NADRA application.
Plan the winter drive before you pay
A booking does not get you up the hill. In snow season the roads to Patriata, Bansra Gali and Kotli Sattian can close or slow to a crawl. Check the weather and the road on the morning you leave, and keep the booking officer's number saved.
Start with the Pakistan Meteorological Department. Our page on the official PMD forecast shows where its snow warnings appear. Then check the motorway, because winter fog on the plains can hold you up before you reach the hills. Fog closures on the motorway often hit the early morning.
Call the resort if the road is shut. Ask whether they will move your dates. None of the TDCP pages promise this, so get the answer in writing on WhatsApp.
Complain to TDCP if a booking goes wrong
Call the resort's booking officer first, using the number on its TDCP page. If that fails, call TDCP's helpline 1421 or its head office on 042 111 111 042, or email info@tdcp.gop.pk. Keep your confirmation ID and payment proof ready.
TDCP's head office is at 68 Trade Center Block, near Ayub Chowk, Johar Town, Lahore. The helpline number 1421 sits at the top of every TDCP page.
Book only through tdcp.gop.pk, booking.tdcp.gop.pk or the numbers on those pages. A Facebook page selling "TDCP Patriata rooms" for cash in advance is not TDCP, and you will have no booking ID to show at the gate.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 2 October 2026. We opened booking.tdcp.gop.pk and saw the hotel, date and guest form, the "Choose a hotel and dates to load availability" message, the estimated total box and the WhatsApp Now and Proceed buttons. We did not make a paid booking. We read the TDCP resort pages for Patriata, Charehan, Bansra Gali, Chewra, Kallar Kahar and Khabeki Lake on tdcp.gop.pk for rooms, check-in times, ID and cancellation rules and booking phone numbers, and the TDCP contact page for the head office details. Room rates appear only after you choose dates, so we have not printed a price. Rules can change, so read your resort's page again before you pay.
