Short answer: The Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) interviews written test qualified candidates for Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer (B-16) from Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 October 2026 in Quetta. Kalat and Zhob zones go first on 20 October. Quetta Zone goes last on 23 October. Bring your original documents for checking one day before your interview.
We read the BPSC press release dated Quetta, 16 October 2026, numbered PSC (RB)/Int: Sch:/2026/16102026-IS, on the interview page of BPSC's website on 20 October 2026. The post is in the Excise, Taxation and Anti-Narcotics Department of Balochistan. The release splits the BPSC AETO interviews into seven zones over four days.
BPSC interviews AETO candidates zone by zone from 20 to 23 October
BPSC has set four interview days for Assistant Excise and Taxation Officer (B-16), one group of zones a day, from 20 to 23 October 2026. The day depends on the zone you applied under. Check your zone before you travel to Quetta.
| Zone | Interview date | Document check (one day before) |
|---|---|---|
| Kalat Zone | Tuesday 20 October 2026 | Monday 19 October 2026 |
| Zhob Zone | Tuesday 20 October 2026 | Monday 19 October 2026 |
| Mekran Zone | Wednesday 21 October 2026 | Tuesday 20 October 2026 |
| Quetta City | Thursday 22 October 2026 | Wednesday 21 October 2026 |
| Sibi Zone | Thursday 22 October 2026 | Wednesday 21 October 2026 |
| Nasirabad Zone | Thursday 22 October 2026 | Wednesday 21 October 2026 |
| Quetta Zone | Friday 23 October 2026 | Thursday 22 October 2026 |
The third column is our working of BPSC's line that candidates should bring originals "one day before the date of their interview". The release does not print those dates itself. Note that Quetta City and Quetta Zone are listed separately, on different days. Do not mix them up.

Document verification falls one day before your interview
BPSC asks every candidate to bring original documents for verification one day before the interview date. So a Kalat or Zhob candidate should have reached Quetta by 19 October. A Quetta Zone candidate's check falls on 22 October.
The press release does not list the documents. In practice, carry the originals of everything you uploaded with your online application. That usually means your CNIC, your domicile or local certificate, your educational certificates and the fee challan. Our note on what BPSC asks for on exam day covers the CNIC and challan rules, which were already checked once at your written test.
- Confirm your zone from your application or roll number slip.
- Match the zone to its date in the table above.
- Reach BPSC, Samungli Road, Quetta, the day before for verification.
- Carry the originals and a set of photocopies.
- Return the next day for your interview.
No call letter yet? Contact the Recruitment Section now
BPSC says interview call letters are being sent to candidates. If yours has not arrived, the release asks you to contact the Commission's Recruitment Section before your interview date. Do not wait for the letter if your zone's day is close.
The release is signed by Dilawar Khan Kasi, Deputy Director (Recruitment). BPSC sits on Samungli Road, Quetta. If you cannot get through, the press release itself is your proof of the schedule. Print it or keep it on your phone. Kalat and Zhob candidates have the least time, since their interviews fall on 20 October, the first day.

Quetta zones fill two of the four interview days
Three zones, Quetta City, Sibi and Nasirabad, share Thursday 22 October. Quetta Zone has Friday 23 October to itself. Kalat and Zhob share Tuesday, and Mekran has Wednesday alone.
The release gives no candidate numbers, so we cannot say how many people each zone has called. It also gives no interview time. Plan to arrive in the morning. BPSC sent copies to the Director General Public Relations Balochistan for newspapers, so the same schedule may appear in print.
The AETO interview is one stage in a busy BPSC month
BPSC is running written tests and interviews for several posts at once this month. The AETO interviews overlap with its written exam schedule from 19 October to 3 November 2026. Candidates sitting both should check each date with care.
The full written test calendar is in the BPSC exam schedule for 19 October to 3 November. BPSC also runs Patwari interviews into November. For how to apply to the next BPSC advertisement, see applying for BPSC jobs online.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 20 October 2026. The zones, dates, document rule and call letter instruction come from BPSC's press release of 16 October 2026, No. PSC (RB)/Int: Sch:/2026/16102026-IS, which we opened as an image on the BPSC interview page on 20 October 2026. The document check dates in our table are our own working from the "one day before" line. We could not find the number of candidates called, the interview times or a document list. If BPSC posts a change, the date on its website wins.
