On PTA's price list of 30 September 2026, the cheapest big monthly packages per GB are Telenor Monthly Prime (300 GB, Rs 2,087 plus withholding tax) and Ufone Digital Mega Offer (200 GB, Rs 1,878 with all taxes). For weekly packages, Ufone Weekly Power Grand gives 100 GB for Rs 680. Once withholding tax is added, Jazz Monthly X costs the most per GB of the 200 GB bundles.

Most people pick a package by its headline: "200 GB" or "unlimited minutes". The better test is rupees per GB, because a bundle with half the data can cost almost the same. We took every all-in-one bundle in the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority's (PTA) "Cellular Hybrid Bundles Tariffs" file, updated 30 September 2026 and posted on 6 October, and divided price by data.

We only counted data you can use on any app. Bundles where the GB work only on WhatsApp, Facebook or YouTube are left out, because they do not compare like for like.

Telenor and Ufone have the lowest monthly price per GB

Among 30-day all-in-one bundles with 100 GB or more, Telenor Monthly Prime works out at about Rs 7 per GB on its listed price, and Ufone Digital Mega at about Rs 9. Zong Monthly Pro Max Basic is about Rs 13.50, and Jazz Monthly X about Rs 13.50 before withholding tax.

Jazz Monthly Freedom100 GBRs 2,608 + WHTAbout Rs 26
Zong Monthly Digital Max Basic100 GBRs 2,600 all taxesAbout Rs 26

One warning before you rank by the last column. PTA's file lists Jazz and Telenor prices with 19.5% sales tax included but without the 15% withholding tax taken on every recharge. Zong and Ufone figures are "load prices", which already include all taxes. So Jazz and Telenor cost more to load than the table shows.

How much more? Adding 15% to Jazz Monthly X Plus, Rs 2,695, gives Rs 3,099. PTA's separate quarterly price tracker, which includes all taxes, put the same bundle at Rs 3,100 in June 2026. On that estimate, Telenor Monthly Ultimate loads at about Rs 2,000 and Monthly Prime at about Rs 2,400, which still leaves Telenor Prime the cheapest per GB, at about Rs 8.

Bar chart of monthly mobile data cost per GB in Pakistan from PTA's 30 September 2026 list: Telenor Monthly Prime about Rs 7, Telenor Ultimate about Rs 8.7, Ufone Digital Mega about Rs 9.4, Zong Pro Max Basic and Jazz Monthly X about Rs 13.5

Weekly 100 GB bundles cost Rs 630 to Rs 750

All four networks sell a 7-day bundle with about 100 GB. Ufone Weekly Power Grand is Rs 680 with all taxes, Zong Weekly Digital Max is Rs 750, Telenor Weekly Prime is Rs 630 plus withholding tax, and Jazz Weekly X Plus is Rs 695 plus withholding tax.

Per GB, weekly 100 GB bundles are cheaper than nearly every monthly bundle. But you pay four or five times a month. Four weeks of Ufone Power Grand cost Rs 2,720 for 400 GB. Ufone Digital Mega costs Rs 1,878 for 200 GB over 30 days.

Pick monthly or weekly by how much data you really use

If you use under 200 GB a month, a 200 GB monthly bundle costs fewer rupees in total, even though each GB is dearer. If you stream for hours or share a hotspot and finish 200 GB early, four weekly 100 GB bundles give you double the data for about Rs 100 to Rs 900 more, depending on the network.

Check your real usage first. Android shows it under Settings, Network, Data usage, and iPhone under Settings, Mobile Data. Look at the last full month, not one heavy week.

  1. Check last month's mobile data use on your phone.
  2. Under 200 GB: choose the cheapest 200 GB monthly bundle on your network.
  3. Over 200 GB: compare four weekly 100 GB bundles with one monthly bundle.
  4. Confirm today's price in your operator's app before you subscribe.
  5. Turn on balance save so the phone cannot use data at standard rates after the bundle ends.
Five steps to choose between a monthly and weekly mobile data package in Pakistan: check usage, pick a 200 GB monthly bundle under 200 GB, compare weekly bundles above it, confirm the price, turn on balance save

The fifth step matters. Without a bundle, PTA's file lists data at Rs 5 per MB on Jazz, so a few hundred MB after expiry can cost more than a day's bundle. The full list of those charges is in call, SMS and data rates without a package, and the free codes to block them are in balance save codes for every network.

Calls and network coverage still matter more than a few rupees

Price per GB is not the whole bill. The bundles above also differ in on-net minutes, off-net minutes to other networks and SMS. Jazz Monthly X Plus, for example, carries 5,000 on-net minutes and 1,500 off-net minutes; Telenor Monthly Ultimate gives unlimited on-net and 1,200 off-net.

And a cheap GB on a weak signal is not cheap. Your network's coverage at home and at work counts for more than a Rs 3 per GB gap. PTA's own city-by-city test results are summarised in which mobile network is best in your city.

Prices also move every quarter. PTA's tracker shows several monthly bundles rose by up to Rs 500 between June 2025 and June 2026, which is covered in comparing packages on PTA's price tracker. Treat this table as a snapshot of 30 September 2026.

Common questions

Which network has the cheapest monthly internet package in Pakistan?

Per GB, Telenor Monthly Prime, at 300 GB for Rs 2,087 plus withholding tax on PTA's 30 September 2026 list. In total rupees for 200 GB, Ufone Digital Mega at Rs 1,878 is lowest.

Are weekly packages cheaper than monthly packages?

Per GB, yes. Weekly 100 GB bundles cost about Rs 6 to Rs 7.50 per GB. But four of them cost more in total than one 200 GB monthly bundle.

Why are Jazz and Telenor prices lower on PTA's list than in the app?

PTA lists them with sales tax but without the 15% withholding tax on recharge. Zong and Ufone figures already include all taxes.

Do these prices include social media data?

We counted only general data. Bundles where data works only on WhatsApp, Facebook or YouTube were left out of the per GB ranking.

Will these prices stay the same?

No. Operators change prices often and PTA updates its file. Check your operator's app or website on the day you subscribe.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We checked on 10 October 2026. All bundle names, data, minutes, prices and tax notes are from PTA's "Cellular Hybrid Bundles Tariffs" file updated 30 September 2026, on the PTA tariffs page. We matched Jazz Monthly X Plus at Rs 2,695 on Jazz's prepaid page and Ufone Weekly Power Grand at Rs 680 for 100 GB on Ufone's offers page the same day. Per GB figures and the 15% withholding estimate are our own arithmetic. Regional and location-based packages are not in PTA's file.
