Short answer: Punjab's Hi-Tech farm loan portal publishes a supplier page with about 430 price rows from 25 suppliers for 12 machine types. Prices for one machine type vary a lot, and some rows look like typing errors. Pick a listed supplier, get a written quotation, and compare two or three before you apply.

A farmer in Sahiwal opens the supplier page of the Hi-Tech loan portal to price a rice combine harvester. He finds one row at about Rs 7 million and another above Rs 50 million. Both are on the same official page. Which one is real?

We opened the portal's supplier and machinery pages on 13 October 2026 and counted the price rows by machine. Our count comes from reading the page, not from a download, so treat the figures as a guide to the spread and check each row yourself. The programme's rules are set out in the loan terms on the same portal: interest-free loans of up to Rs 30 million, with you paying 20 percent of the machine cost.

The supplier page lists 25 suppliers and 12 machine types

The portal's supplier page shows 25 supplier tabs. Each tab lists a maker, a machine type, a model and a price in rupees per unit. The machinery page shows the 12 machine types the loan can finance, with photos.

The loan can be used for these 12 machines only, and the money goes straight from the bank to the supplier you select. That is why the price you accept on the page matters. It is the amount the bank will pay.

The machines are the tractor above 85 HP, wheat combine harvester, rice combine harvester, rice transplanter, baler, maize cob harvester, silage harvester, maize cob dryer, orchard air blast sprayer, orchard pruner, multi crop planter and centre pivot irrigation system.

Prices for the same type differ widely

Listed prices differ because models differ in size and power. The middle price, the median, gives a better guide than the lowest or highest row. The table shows the middle listed price and the full spread for each type, from our reading of the page.

Machine typeRowsMiddle price (Rs)Lowest to highest (Rs)
Rice transplanter406.5 million0.6 million to 10.5 million
Orchard air blast sprayer145.0 million1.15 million to 10.9 million

Wheat combine harvester3928.5 million8.5 million to 285 million

The pattern holds for other types too. For example, the middle price for a maize cob dryer is about Rs 20.7 million and for a centre pivot irrigation system about Rs 20.3 million. We could not tell from the page which rows are current.

Some rows look like errors, so do not trust one row

One wheat combine harvester row shows Rs 285 million. A baler row shows Rs 133.3 million. A silage harvester row runs above Rs 227 million. Next to rows of Rs 8 to 30 million, these look like data entry slips, though we cannot be sure of that.

Eighteen of the 39 wheat combine rows are above Rs 30 million, which is the loan cap itself. Because the loan finances 80 percent of the cost, such a machine would need a large equity deposit from you, on top of the cap. Read the cost against the loan before you choose.

The portal does not say that the bank will approve at the listed price. The bank does its own checks. So the supplier page is a starting point, not a quotation.

How to price a machine before you apply

Do the price check before you pay the Rs 5,000 processing fee, and before you deposit your 20 percent. Follow the order below.

  1. Choose your machine type from the 12 listed types.
  2. Note two or three listed suppliers and their model prices from the portal.
  3. Ask each supplier for a written quotation with model, price and delivery time.
  4. Work out 20 percent of the lowest quotation and confirm you can deposit it.
  5. Register on the portal and select the machine and supplier you checked.
Five steps to price a farm machine before applying for Punjab's Hi-Tech loan

Bring the quotation to the bank. A machine must also pay for itself, so set its cost against the crop prices you can check on AMIS before you sell. If the portal price and the quotation differ, ask the helpline or the bank which one it will finance. The portal lists the helpline as 080017000. We did not call it.

Other checks that save money

Your credit record and your Kissan Card record are also checked. The portal asks for a clean record on both, which is why it helps to read how to apply for the Punjab Kissan Card and keep that account in order.

Smaller machines are covered by different schemes, with grants instead of loans. If your machine costs under a few million rupees, compare the options in which Punjab farm machinery subsidy fits you before using a loan.

Common questions

How many suppliers are on the Hi-Tech loan portal?

We counted 25 supplier tabs on the supplier page on 13 October 2026. Each lists makers, models and prices for the machines it supplies.

Can I buy from a dealer who is not listed?

The portal says you select the supplier from its list, and the bank pays that supplier directly. We did not find a way to use an unlisted dealer. Ask the helpline to confirm.

Are the listed prices final?

No. The page does not say they are quotations, and some rows look like errors. Get a written quotation and confirm the figure with the bank.

What happens if my machine costs more than Rs 30 million?

The loan cap is Rs 30 million, and you pay at least 20 percent of the cost yourself. If the price is higher, you would need to cover the difference. Ask the bank how it treats this.

Who do I call for help?

The portal shows the helpline 080017000. We did not call it, so check the opening dates and any price updates with them.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 13 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read the Hi-Tech portal's supplier page and machinery page. We counted rows by machine type from the page text, so the row counts and middle prices are our own reading and could differ by a few rows. We did not verify any supplier's current price, stock or quotation, and the portal showed no date for the price list.
