Check a Motorcycle, Tyre or Engine Oil for a PSQCA Licence in Pakistan
PSQCA lists two-wheelers, motorcycle and car tyres and engine oil as compulsory items, but names no electric bike. Check a licence before you pay. See how.

Short answer: PSQCA lists two-wheeler vehicles, three-wheelers, motorcycle and car tyres, bicycle tyres and engine lubricating oil on its compulsory items page. Ask the dealer for the maker's PSQCA licence number and search it free at icq.psqca.com.pk before you pay.
Most Pakistanis buy a motorcycle once and then spend years on tyres and oil. Those small purchases decide whether the bike grips in the rain and whether the engine lasts. Yet few buyers ask for anything more than a brand name.
We read PSQCA's compulsory items page on 14 October 2026. This guide covers the vehicle items on it. We did not search any brand's licence today, so we do not say which dealers or makers hold one.
PSQCA lists vehicles, tyres and engine oil as compulsory items
The page names two-wheeler and three-wheeler auto vehicles, reciprocating internal combustion engines, tyres and rims for motorcycles, passenger cars, trucks and buses, bicycle tyres and internal combustion engine lubricating oil. Each has its own standard number.

| Item | Standard on PSQCA's page |
|---|---|
| Two-wheeler auto vehicles | PS 4707 |
| Three-wheeler auto vehicles | PS 4708 |
| Reciprocating internal combustion engine | PS 1806 |
| Motorcycle tyres and rims | ISO 4249-1 |
| Passenger car tyres and rims | ISO 4000-1 |
| Truck and bus tyres and rims | ISO 4209-1 |
| Rubber tyre for bicycles | PS 687-1982 |
| Internal combustion engine lubricating oil | PS 343 |
The numbers are copied as published. The page gives no start date for any entry, so we cannot say from it when a rule began to apply to a given brand.
Electric bikes are not named on the list
We found no electric motorcycle or electric scooter on the compulsory list as published. PS 4707 is the two-wheeler entry, and the page does not say whether it covers electric models. If you buy an electric bike, ask the dealer which standard applies and in writing.
This matters because government schemes push electric bikes hard. Read the rules of the PAVE electric bike scheme first, then ask the dealer for the licence behind the model you want. A subsidy is not a quality mark.
For petrol bikes, check the price against a current list. Our page on motorcycle prices in Pakistan shows where the common models stand, so a dealer cannot quote a made-up premium.
Four steps check a tyre, oil or vehicle licence
Write down the brand and model from the tyre sidewall, oil bottle or bike papers. Open PSQCA's licence tool, pick the product or type the maker, and read the status and valid up to columns. A future date and a Valid status are what you want.

- Write down the brand and model from the tyre sidewall, the oil label or the bike papers.
- Open the CM License Verification page at icq.psqca.com.pk.
- Pick the product from the list, or type the maker, and press search.
- Check that the brand matches what you hold and that the valid up to date is in the future.
Our own earlier search of the same tool, on gas appliances on 2 October 2026, showed every record expired while some cable licences were valid. So the tool can lag, and a blank result is a reason to ask questions, not proof of a fake. See the full result in our guide to checking a PSQCA licence.
Tyres and oil need more than a licence check
A licence tells you the maker passed a standard. It does not tell you the tyre is new or the oil is real. Check the tyre date code, the sealed cap on the oil bottle, and the shop's receipt. These take a minute and catch the commonest tricks.
Buying a bike on instalments? The total you pay is larger than the sticker, so compare plans in bike instalment plans in Pakistan before you sign. Then insure it: the choice between third-party and comprehensive cover is in motorcycle insurance in Pakistan.
Government duty on tyres and motorcycle parts has moved recently. The reported rates are explained in a note on additional customs duty on tyres and motorcycle parts, which helps you judge a sudden price rise.
One more habit helps. Before you collect a new bike, ask the dealer for the invoice, the engine and chassis numbers and the warranty booklet, and compare them with the numbers stamped on the machine. A licence on the maker is useful, but the paperwork for your own bike is what you will need at registration, at the service centre and on resale day.
Common questions
Are motorcycle tyres on the PSQCA compulsory list?
Yes. PSQCA lists motorcycle tyres and rims under ISO 4249-1. Car tyres and rims are listed under ISO 4000-1.
Is engine oil on the list?
Yes. PSQCA lists internal combustion engine lubricating oil under PS 343. Ask the shop for the maker's licence number.
Are electric bikes covered?
We found no electric bike named on the list as published. PS 4707 covers two-wheeler auto vehicles, and the page does not say if electric models are included.
Does a PSQCA licence mean the tyre is new?
No. A licence is about the maker's product. Check the date code on the tyre sidewall and keep the receipt.
Can I check a licence on my phone?
Yes. The PSQCA licence page works in a phone browser and needs no login.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
