Short answer: Go to mufap.com.pk, open Industry Stats, then Daily, and use three pages: Performance Summary for returns, NAVs and Sale Loads for the price and fees you pay, and Expense Ratios for the yearly running cost. On 22 October 2026 the NAV page listed 567 funds from 25 managers, 410 of them open-end.

Your bank offers you a "cash fund" with a nice return. Before you put money in, you can check the number yourself. The Mutual Funds Association of Pakistan (MUFAP) publishes every fund's price, return and cost for free. We opened its daily pages on 22 October 2026, late at night, and read what each shows and where it can mislead you.

MUFAP publishes four daily pages for every fund

Under Industry Stats, Daily, MUFAP lists four pages: Performance Summary, NAVs and Sale Loads, Payouts and Expense Ratios. Together they answer four questions: what has the fund earned, what price do I pay, what did it pay out, and what does it cost to run.

NAV is the net asset value, the price of one unit of the fund. A fund unit is like a share in a pool of investments run by a fund manager, called an asset management company (AMC). The pages are searchable by manager and fund.

Four daily MUFAP pages: performance, NAVs and sale loads, payouts and expense ratios

The NAVs and Sale Loads page shows the price and the fees

The NAV page lists each fund with its category, inception date, Offer price, Repurchase price, NAV, validity date, and three load columns: Front-end, Back-end and Contingent. A load is a fee. The Offer price is what you pay to buy and the Repurchase price is what you get when you sell.

ABL Cash Fund, NAV pageValue
CategoryMoney Market
Offer10.7009
Repurchase10.6086
NAV10.6086
Validity date23 October 2026
Front-end, back-end, contingent1, 2, 1

Here the Offer is higher than the Repurchase by 0.0923. The page does not state the unit of the load columns, so confirm each load in the fund's offering document before you invest. Fixed Rate plans showed an Offer of 0.0000, which probably means they are closed to new money. The page does not say so, so ask the manager.

Check the validity date before you trust a price

The Validity Date is the day the NAV applies to. Among the 410 open-end funds, 280 showed 22 October, 40 showed 23 October, 49 showed 21 October and 29 showed 20 October. Twelve were older, including seven dated 19 October and one dated 30 September 2026.

A price with an old date is not today's price. When you compare two funds, compare them on the same date, or the gap you see may be only a calendar difference. The older entries could be funds that publish less often. The page does not explain, so we do not guess.

The Performance Summary page compares returns over many periods

The Performance Summary lists each fund with its rating, benchmark and returns for YTD, MTD, 1 day, 15 days, 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, 270 days, 365 days, 2 years and 3 years. YTD means since 1 January and MTD means this month so far. For ABL Cash Fund, rated AA+(f), it showed 10.81 for YTD and 10.69 for 365 days.

The page does not say whether short period returns, such as 1 day, are annualised. Compare funds only within the same column and category. A money market fund and an equity fund are different risks, and the guide to money market, income, equity and share funds explains the gap. The categories also differ: we saw Income (49 funds), Shariah Compliant Income (44), Fixed Rate / Return (40), Money Market (31) and Equity (29), among others.

Expense ratios and payouts show what the fund costs and pays

The Expense Ratios page lists TER MTD %, TER YTD %, MF % and S&M %. TER is the total expense ratio, the share of the fund's assets taken each year to run it. For ABL Cash Fund it showed 0.96 for the month and 1.15 for the year, with a management fee of 0.70.

The Payouts page lists the payout per unit, the Ex-NAV and the payout date. ABL Cash Fund paid 1.0559 per unit on 29 June 2026, with an Ex-NAV of 10.2552. After a payout, the NAV falls, so a payout is not extra money. For tax on payouts, see dividend tax rules, and to start with a small account, see how to open a Sehl or Sahulat mutual fund account.

Common questions about checking funds on MUFAP

Is MUFAP's data free?

Yes. We opened the daily pages without a login.

What is NAV in a mutual fund?

NAV is the net asset value, the price of one unit of the fund on a given date.

What is the difference between Offer and Repurchase price?

Offer is the price to buy a unit. Repurchase is the price you receive when you sell it back.

How many funds does MUFAP list?

On 22 October 2026 the NAV page listed 410 open-end funds, plus employer pension, voluntary pension, ETF and dedicated equity funds.

Are the returns annualised?

The page does not say. Compare funds in the same column and category only.

Does a payout make me richer?

Not by itself. After a payout the NAV falls by about the amount, as the Ex-NAV column shows.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 22 October 2026, late at night. The page names, columns, fund counts, validity dates and every ABL Cash Fund figure come from the NAVs and Sale Loads page, the Performance Summary page, the Expense Ratios page and the Payouts page of MUFAP, read through a text converter because MUFAP blocks direct fetches. The counts by date and category are our own. The pages do not define the load units or say whether returns are annualised. This is not investment advice.
