Check If a Sports Body Is Recognised by the Pakistan Sports Board: 54 Organisations Not Affiliated
Check if a sports federation or club is recognised in Pakistan: the PSB list of 54 non-affiliated bodies, what it means and four steps to verify before you pay.

Short answer: The Pakistan Sports Board publishes a list of 54 sports organisations it does not recognise. Before you pay fees, join an event or let your child travel for a federation, check its name against that list on the PSB website. A listed body cannot represent Pakistan abroad.
A trial notice arrives on WhatsApp. It promises selection for "Team Pakistan" at an event overseas, and asks for a fee by Friday. Many young athletes and parents have been through this. The first question should always be whether the body is recognised.
We opened the Pakistan Sports Board website on 14 October 2026 and read its list of sports organisations not affiliated with the Board. This page explains what the list says, what non-affiliation means and how to check a name. Non-affiliation is a PSB status. It is not a finding about the safety or quality of any club.
The PSB publishes a list of 54 non-affiliated organisations
The page is headed "List of sports organizations not affiliated with the Pakistan Sports Board". It numbers 54 entries. Some are sports, such as Canoe and Kayak, Gymnastics, Fencing, Triathlon and Pickleball. Some are groups within a sport, shown as "3 groups" or "4 groups".
The list also names Soccer Futsal, Mini Football, Mixed Martial Arts, E-Sports, Powerlifting, School Sports, Motorsports, Para Sports and Dragon Boat. A company name appears too. We list only some of the 54 here. Read the full page yourself, because the PSB can change it.

The page rests on a legal base. It says the Federal Government promulgated the Constitution of the Pakistan Sports Board, 2022, which governs the regulation and development of sports in the country.
Non-affiliated bodies cannot represent Pakistan
The PSB page cites Rule 22 of its Constitution. It says non-affiliated federations are not authorised to regulate and control sports in Pakistan or to represent Pakistan in international sports events and forums. That is the key point for parents.
| Question | What the PSB page says |
|---|---|
| Who can regulate a sport? | Not a non-affiliated federation |
| Who can represent Pakistan abroad? | Not a non-affiliated federation |
| Who should check status? | Athletes, parents, sponsors and others |
| Where to check? | Through the Pakistan Sports Board |
The page also advises athletes, parents, sponsors and other stakeholders to verify the legal status of any sports federation through the PSB before taking part in events or entering into any engagement. That is the PSB's own advice, and we pass it on without change.
A related rule appears on the PSB's team-abroad form: no athlete or team may travel abroad without a PSB no objection certificate. Read how a federation gets that NOC if you are planning a trip.
Check a name in four steps
Open the PSB website, find the non-affiliated list, and search for the name of the federation, club or organiser. Then check the other list of affiliated federations. If the name appears on the first list, or on neither, treat it as unrecognised until the PSB says otherwise.

- Write down the exact name of the body that sent the invitation.
- Open the Pakistan Sports Board website and the non-affiliated list.
- Look for the name or the sport. Some entries are by sport, not by company.
- Check the affiliated list, which has 43 national sports federations.
- Call or email the PSB if the name is on neither list.
Use the sport name, not only the organiser's brand. An entry such as "Soccer Futsal" may cover a federation that uses a different public name, so a name that is not found is not proof of recognition. When unsure, ask the PSB.

What to do before you pay a trial or travel fee
Ask the organiser for the federation's affiliation letter and the event invitation from the host country. Ask who signs the PSB NOC. Pay by bank transfer to an account in the federation's name, not to a personal number, and keep the receipt.
These are common sense steps, and the PSB list supports them. A recognised federation can show you its affiliation and will not mind. A body that avoids the question has told you something.
Also check whether a legitimate local route already exists. Sports Board Punjab runs free cricket academy centres, and the PSB has coaching centres in four cities and football academy in Islamabad. These are public programmes and do not need a private fee for selection.
If you believe a body is falsely claiming to select a national team, tell the PSB in writing. The Board's contact details on its website include a phone number, +92-51-9202412, and the email infopsb@sports.gov.pk. We did not test those channels.
What the PSB lists we could not read
The PSB has two more pages on its site: a list of banned, suspended and non-affiliated individuals and entities, and a page for refusals of NOC. When we opened them on 14 October 2026, neither page showed any entries in the text we could read. We cannot say whether they are empty or whether a table failed to load.
That is a reason to check the PSB site again before you rely on it, and to ask the Board directly. We have not seen any claim that a named person is banned, and we make none here.
Common questions
Is a non-affiliated club illegal?
The PSB page does not say that. It says non-affiliated federations cannot regulate sport or represent Pakistan abroad. It is a recognition status, not a finding of wrongdoing.
How many organisations are on the list?
The page we read on 14 October 2026 numbered 54 entries. The PSB may change the list at any time.
Where is the list of recognised federations?
The PSB site has an affiliated federations page. We have a separate summary of the 43 national sports federations.
Can my child still play at a non-affiliated club?
Playing locally is a separate matter. The PSB rule is about regulating sport and representing Pakistan. Ask the PSB if you are unsure about a particular event.
Who should I ask if a name is not on either list?
Ask the Pakistan Sports Board directly, using the phone number or email published on its website.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 14 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read the non-affiliated organisations page on the Pakistan Sports Board website. We could not read entries on the banned and suspended page or the refusal of NOC page. We did not contact the PSB, and we do not know the date the list was last updated.
