Find Your National Sports Federation in Pakistan: The Full PSB List of 43
Find which body runs your sport in Pakistan. The Pakistan Sports Board lists 43 federations, 40 affiliated. See the list by sport and who to contact first.

The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) lists 43 national sports federations: 40 affiliated, 2 provisional and 1 disputed. To start in a sport at national level, find its federation in the table below, then contact it directly. PSB itself does not run each sport.
Many young players do not know who controls their sport. The answer decides who picks national teams, who runs national championships and who can confirm that a coach or an event is genuine. We read PSB's list of affiliated federations on 8 October 2026 and set it out by sport.

Know what a national federation does
A national sports federation is the body that governs one sport in Pakistan. It usually selects the national team, holds national events and links to the world body of that sport. PSB gives it recognition and, in many cases, grants.
That is why a player starts with the federation and not with PSB. PSB, for example, runs facilities and schemes, such as the PSB talent identification system, but it does not pick a hockey or squash team on its own. Teams for major events come from the federations, as with Pakistan's hockey results at the 2026 Asian Games.
Find your sport in the PSB list of federations
PSB's page names each federation and its status. Most carry the status affiliated. The page shows no president, website or phone number for individual federations, so you must search for those yourself, from an official source.

Check the rest of the list for less common sports
The list also covers smaller and newer sports. If your sport is not in the table above, look here. Each one is affiliated unless the list says otherwise.
- Alpine Club of Pakistan, Equestrian Federation of Pakistan and Pakistan Polo Federation.
- Pakistan Baseball, Softball, Handball, Netball and Rugby bodies.
- Pakistan Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Wushu and Weightlifting federations.
- Pakistan Rowing, Sailing and Winter Sports federations.
- National Rifle Association of Pakistan and Pakistan Long Range Rifle Association.
- Pakistan Bodybuilding, Bridge, Golf, Tenpin Bowling and Blind Sports federations.
Two federations are provisional: Pakistan Lacrosse Federation and Pakistan Padel Federation. The Pakistan Archery Federation is marked as disputed. A disputed status means PSB does not currently treat the body as settled, so ask PSB which group represents archers before you pay any fee.
Contact the federation and ask the right questions
Once you know the federation, ask how players enter. Each sport works differently, but the questions are similar. Keep your questions short and write down the answers.
- Find the federation's official website or social page through the PSB list or the world body of the sport.
- Ask how district and provincial associations are linked to the federation.
- Ask when the next national trials or championships are held and who may enter.
- Ask what age groups it runs and what documents are needed.
- Ask if any fee is charged, and for a receipt for anything you pay.
Be careful with groups that use the word national or Pakistan in their names but are not on the PSB list. Check the name against the list above before you pay for a trial or a certificate.
Use PSB when the federation cannot help
PSB runs Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad and coaching centres in four cities. Our guides show how to join Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad and how to find a PSB coaching centre. In Punjab, you can also register a sports club with Sports Board Punjab.
For general questions about a federation's status, PSB lists infopsb@sports.gov.pk and 051-9202412, open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.

Which body runs cricket in Pakistan?
The Pakistan Cricket Board runs cricket. It is not part of the PSB federation list we read.
What does a disputed federation mean?
PSB marks the Pakistan Archery Federation as disputed. We found no explanation on the page, so ask PSB for the current position.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 8 October 2026. We read the Pakistan Sports Board page titled Affiliated National Sports Federations on sports.gov.pk. It lists 43 federations with their status, and the PSB website shows its own contact details. It gives no officials, websites or phone numbers for the federations, and we did not verify any of those. The first table is our grouping of the PSB names by sport.
