The only official Punjab Public Service Commission website is ppsc.gop.pk. PPSC itself says fake websites and social media pages copy its name and post false job advertisements, test dates and fee instructions. Before you pay a fee, check that you are on ppsc.gop.pk and that the amount matches the jobs table there.

The warning is a public notice issued by PPSC from its Lahore head office. It names four lookalike websites. We are not repeating those addresses, because a list of scam sites is also a list of links. The notice is still pinned in the news section on the PPSC home page, and we saw it there on 11 October 2026.

This matters now. PPSC Advertisement 11/2026 closes on 26 October, and a rush of applicants is exactly when scam pages do best.

The only official PPSC website is ppsc.gop.pk, with a warning about fake PPSC sites

The official address ends in gop.pk, not gov.pk

PPSC's official site is www.ppsc.gop.pk. The ending is "gop.pk", which stands for Government of the Punjab. It is not the "gov.pk" ending that federal bodies use, and that difference confuses many people.

That is useful, because a fake site often picks a plain-looking name such as "ppsc.com.pk" or adds the word "jobs" or "updates" to the name. PPSC says its notice covers four such fake sites. If the address you are on ends in anything other than gop.pk, close it.

Search results add to the confusion. Searches for PPSC also bring up coaching sites about the civil service exam in India's Punjab, which is a different body. Type the address into the browser yourself instead of tapping a search result.

PPSC says it publishes everything only on its own channels

According to the notice, all recruitment updates are published exclusively through official channels. That covers advertisements, test schedules, roll numbers and results. If a message says your test date has moved and gives you a link that is not on ppsc.gop.pk, treat it as false until proven otherwise.

The notice also says PPSC bears no responsibility for losses from using unauthorised sources. In plain words, if you pay a scam site, the Commission will not refund you.

Signs of a real PPSC website compared with signs of a fake one

Check the fee against the jobs table

The jobs table on ppsc.gop.pk lists a fee for every case number. On 10 October 2026 every post in Advertisement 11/2026 showed Rs 600. Your payment page should ask for the same amount, and it should be fetched for you once you enter the PSID.

A PSID is a payment slip ID that the PPSC portal creates for you after you submit your form. You then pay that PSID at an ATM or branch of a 1Link member bank, or through internet banking, mobile banking, JazzCash, Easypaisa or UPaisa. Nobody needs to send you money to a personal account.

The details of each post, including the 13 cases and age limits, are in the report on PPSC Advertisement 11/2026. Use it to compare with any message you receive.

Five steps to take before you pay

  1. Type ppsc.gop.pk into the address bar yourself. Do not tap a link from WhatsApp or Facebook.
  2. Open the Jobs page and find your case number in the table.
  3. Note the fee in the table and compare it with the amount on your payment screen.
  4. Pay only the PSID shown on the PPSC portal, through a bank or wallet in your own name.
  5. Keep the receipt and print your application from the PPSC site.

If you already paid a fake site

Act the same day. Stop all contact, save screenshots of the pages and your payment receipt, and tell your bank or wallet company that the payment went to a fraudulent site. PPSC's notice asks people to report suspicious links and scam activity to PPSC or the relevant authorities. For online fraud, the right authority is the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency.

Many scams use a job ad as bait. The six warning signs we list in the report on fake online job offers in Pakistan apply here too. The same habit helps with other official websites that are copied, such as the one for the Karachi board.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 11 October 2026. We read PPSC's public notice "Beware of Fraudulent Websites and Social Media Pages" from the PPSC home page, and the live Jobs page at ppsc.gop.pk, which lists Rs 600 for the posts in the current advertisements and says only online applications are accepted. The notice file carries a 2025 date in its name, and it was still displayed in the news section when we checked. We did not test the fake sites and do not list them.
