Check Which Vehicles Are Registered on Your CNIC in Sindh With Excise, Free Online
Use Sindh Excise's online CNIC check to see every car and bike registered in your name. Find a sold vehicle still on your record and learn what to do next.

Short answer: Open excise.gos.pk, choose Vehicle Verification by CNIC, pick four wheelers or two wheelers, and enter your 13-digit CNIC. The Sindh Excise department's page lists the vehicles registered against that CNIC. Run it once for cars and once for bikes.
Think of the car you sold five years ago with a handshake and a photocopy. If the transfer never went through, that car may still sit in the excise record under your name. Token tax, challans and a stranger's accidents can follow your CNIC. Checking takes two minutes.
We opened the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department's website and read its verification pages, its motor vehicle tax page and its news section. We did not run a search ourselves, because each form asks for a security check and a real CNIC.
The Sindh Excise CNIC check lists vehicles in your name
Vehicle Verification by CNIC is an official Excise Sindh service. You choose a vehicle category, enter the CNIC, and the page finds all available vehicles registered against it. Dashes are optional. The same site also offers a search by registration number.
The department runs a computerized registration system. According to its motor vehicle tax page, the system connects Karachi with regional directorates in Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpurkhas. So a vehicle registered in Hyderabad or Sukkur should show up in the same search as one registered in Karachi.
| Service on excise.gos.pk | What you enter | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle Verification by CNIC | Category and 13-digit CNIC | Vehicles registered against that CNIC |
| Online Vehicle Verification | Category and registration number | The official motor vehicle record |
| Check Your Number Plate | Category and registration number | Plate progress: requested, printed, handed over |
| Tax Calculator | Vehicle details | Tax and fee estimate |

How to run the check step by step
Go to excise.gos.pk and open Vehicle Verification by CNIC under Online Services. Select Four Wheelers, type your CNIC, complete the security check and press Find Vehicles. Then repeat the search with Two Wheelers selected.
- Open excise.gos.pk in your browser. The department's mobile apps for Android and iPhone also exist, linked from the same page.
- Under Online Services, choose Vehicle Verification by CNIC.
- Pick the vehicle category. The form offers Four Wheelers and Two Wheelers.
- Enter your 13-digit CNIC. You can leave out the dashes.
- Complete the security check and press Find Vehicles.
- Repeat with the other category.
- Note every registration number that appears.
Use only your own CNIC. Looking up another person's details is not something we recommend, and the search is meant for an owner checking a record.
What to do with a vehicle you no longer own
If a vehicle you sold still shows against your CNIC, complete the ownership transfer. That means the buyer and you finish the paperwork at the excise office. The department's published transfer fees start at Rs 500 for a motorcycle and Rs 1,600 for cars up to 800cc, per its motor vehicle tax page.
| Vehicle | Transfer fee on the Excise page |
|---|---|
| Motorcycle or scooter | Rs 500 |
| Rickshaw | Rs 800 |
| Car or jeep up to 800cc | Rs 1,600 |
| Car or jeep 801cc to 1500cc | Rs 2,000 |
| Car or jeep 1501cc to 2000cc | Rs 3,000 |
| Car or jeep 2001cc to 3000cc | Rs 5,000 |
The page itself warns that charges can depend on vehicle type, value, engine capacity, registration status and transaction date, and tells you to review the amount before you pay. Treat the table as a guide.
Delay costs more. The department announced updated transfer penalty rates on 13 February 2025, and a late transfer now attracts a daily penalty up to a cap. We covered the full schedule in the Sindh late vehicle transfer penalty. The step-by-step process is in how to transfer vehicle ownership in Sindh.
Old token tax is the other risk. Sindh's Cabinet moved to cancel registrations for long-time tax defaulters, as we reported in Sindh cancelling registration for unpaid token tax. If a car you sold is in that group, the record still carries your name. Check the tax position with the online Sindh vehicle tax check.
Use the registration number check before you buy
If you are buying a used car or bike in Sindh, enter its registration number in Online Vehicle Verification before you pay anything. Compare the official record with the seller's papers: the owner, the category and the registration details should match.
The page asks for the number "exactly as shown on the number plate". Then match the result with the registration book and the seller's CNIC. If the record shows a different owner, stop and ask why. Do not hand over cash against a promise that the transfer will be done later.
The Excise site also has a Check Your Number Plate tracker. It follows a plate from request to printing and handover. Buyers of new vehicles can use it to see if the plate is ready. A Karachi premium plate has its own auction, covered in getting a premium number plate in Sindh.
For anything you cannot resolve online, the department lists a 24/7 call centre at (021) 111 374 634.
Common questions
Can I see all vehicles registered on my CNIC in Sindh?
Yes. The Excise Sindh page Vehicle Verification by CNIC finds all available vehicles registered against a CNIC. Run it separately for four wheelers and two wheelers.
Do I need to type dashes in the CNIC?
No. The form asks for 13 digits and says dashes are optional.
What if a car I sold still shows under my name?
Complete the ownership transfer with the buyer at the excise office. Late transfer carries a daily penalty, so do not wait.
Does the CNIC check show token tax owed?
We could not confirm that from the page. For the tax owed, use the Excise tax portal's Quick Pay check by registration number.
Where can I ask for help?
Call the department's 24/7 call centre on (021) 111 374 634, or visit a regional excise office.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on Sunday 11 October 2026 at about 5 am PKT. We read the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department's pages for Vehicle Verification by CNIC, Online Vehicle Verification, Check Your Number Plate, and its motor vehicle tax page and news section. We did not submit a search, so we cannot describe the result screen. Fees are as printed on the department's page and may change.
