Short answer: To complain about Sindh Police staff or service, use the IGP Complaint Management System run by Sindh Police. You can register and track a complaint on its portal, or send a WhatsApp message to +92 314 1088831 starting with "Assalaam-o-Alaikum". Keep your complaint number, because the portal uses it for tracking.

A shopkeeper in Hyderabad says a police officer demanded money to register his case. He does not know where to complain, and he fears the local station will not help. Sindh Police has a central channel for exactly this.

We opened the IGP Complaint Management System page on 13 October 2026 and read what it offers. We did not file a complaint, so we cannot say how fast the system replies. The system is run by the IT department of Sindh Police.

The portal handles complaints against police and police service

The page describes the portal as the official complaint system for citizens to lodge and follow grievances against police personnel or services. Its main prompt reads "Register your complaint or track your complaint status". A complaint guide in PDF form and an FAQ section are on the page.

This is a complaint channel for conduct and service. It is not an FIR channel. If police refuse to register a crime, our guide on getting an FIR registered in Sindh when police refuse covers that road. Both can be used together.

The second column is our plain-language reading of what the portal is for. The page does not list each type of complaint.

File a complaint in five steps

You can use the website or WhatsApp. The page lists both. Have your CNIC, the date, the place and the name or number of the officer ready, if you know them.

  1. Open the IGP Complaint Management System page and choose to register a complaint.
  2. Read the complaint guide PDF on the page if you are unsure what to include.
  3. Write what happened: date, time, police station, and the officer if known.
  4. Submit the complaint and save the complaint number or reference it gives you.
  5. Return to the page later and use the track option to see the status.

The page also mentions a user login for account management. We did not create an account, so we cannot say if one is required.

WhatsApp is the second channel

The page lists a WhatsApp number and a first message to send. Save the number, open WhatsApp and send the greeting. The chat then guides you, according to the page.

  • WhatsApp: +92 314 1088831
  • First message: "Assalaam-o-Alaikum"

We did not test the chat. Do not send your CNIC or photos to any number that is not the one on the official page. Check the number against the page before you write.

Prepare before you file

A clear complaint gets a clearer answer. Before you open the page, collect the facts in one note on your phone. Write the date and time, the name of the police station, the place, and what the officer said or did.

If anyone saw it, write their names and phone numbers. If you have a call record, a photo, a receipt or a message, keep a copy. Do not edit or crop screenshots. Save the originals.

If you are afraid of trouble from the station, tell a family member or a lawyer that you are filing, and send them the reference number. That way someone else can follow the case too.

Keep evidence and use other bodies if needed

Write the complaint in plain, factual sentences. Say what was done and when. Avoid anger, because a calm record is easier to act on. Attach photos, receipts or messages if the form allows it.

If the police station does not act after your complaint, you can go to other bodies. The Sindh Ombudsman accepts complaints about government agencies. See how to complain to the Sindh Ombudsman. For an emergency, call 15, which Sindh Police lists as its emergency response number.

For a crime already reported, you can follow the case with our steps to check an FIR in Sindh.
