Daewoo Booking Online: Book, Cancel and Refund a Daewoo Express Ticket

Daewoo booking works three ways: on daewoo.com.pk, in the Daewoo Express Mobile app, or at a terminal counter. Online you register with a mobile number and an email, pick two terminals and a date, choose a seat and pay by card or JazzCash. Cancel an advance ticket before departure and Daewoo keeps 30 per cent. Refunds to a card go through an online portal and take three to four weeks, according to Daewoo's own refund page.

The booking form on the Daewoo homepage is small and a little old-fashioned. Three dropdowns, a search button, and a list of departures with fares and seats left. We read every page that sits behind it on 17 September 2026, including the terms and conditions that nobody reads and the cancel button's own warning text, because the rules on cancellation and refunds are where the money goes.

Daewoo Express lists its helpline as 042-111-007-008, with 0304-111-7008 as a mobile number, both marked as available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Those numbers also take bookings, and they are the fastest route when the website will not load.

How do you book a Daewoo ticket online?

Register once, search a route, choose a seat, pay. The website and the app follow the same path, and both hold a booking that you can pay at the counter if you would rather not pay online. The whole thing takes about five minutes the first time and two minutes after that.

1. Open daewoo.com.pk and click Register. The form asks for a mobile number and an email address, and the site sends a one-time code to each. Enter both codes to finish.
2. Sign in, then use the purchase ticket box. Pick the departure terminal first. The list is long, because Daewoo treats each terminal as its own stop, so Lahore appears as Lahore Thokar and Lahore Kalma Chowk, and Islamabad appears as Faizabad (Islamabad).
3. Pick the arrival terminal, then the date. The date list only offers days that have a schedule loaded for that pair of terminals.
4. Choose a departure from the results, which show the time, the fare, the bus type and the seats still free.
5. Pick your seat on the plan. Seat numbers run from 1 to 47 on the refund form, which tells you the largest coach layout.
6. Pay. The site names credit card and JazzCash. Or leave the booking unpaid and buy the ticket at the counter, subject to the 15-minute rule below.

Your bookings and paid tickets sit under My Bookings and My Tickets in the account menu. Screenshot the ticket. The counter staff will accept it on a phone, but the terminals get busy at Eid and a screenshot loads faster than an app.

The wider picture of booking bus tickets online in Pakistan covers the third-party apps like Bookme that also sell Daewoo seats. Those add a service charge and their own refund rules, so a ticket bought through one has to be refunded through it, not through Daewoo.

What does the Daewoo Express app add?

Discounts, mostly. The Google Play listing for Daewoo Express Mobile, published by Daewoo Express Bus Service Pakistan and updated on 31 August 2026, lists Early Bird and Off Peak discounts and a points scheme with expiry in its latest release notes. The App Store version, 2.69, names JazzCash and credit card as in-app payment methods and cash at the counter as the third.

The app is where the cancel button lives, and that button is the reason to read the next section before you press it. A booking cancelled in the app is refunded to a Daewoo Wallet, not to your card.

What are the cancellation rules?

Three rules matter. An unpaid booking dies 15 minutes before departure. A paid advance ticket cancelled before departure loses 30 per cent. And a paid ticket for a bus that has already left is worth nothing unless you take the next departure. All three are in Daewoo's terms and conditions, which we read on its site on 17 September 2026.

The 30 per cent is the one that surprises people, because it applies even a day ahead. Pakistan Railways, by comparison, scales its deduction by how close to departure you cancel, and the railway ticket refund rules keep most of the fare for an early cancellation. Daewoo's rate is flat.

Then there is the wallet. The cancel confirmation on the website reads, word for word, "30% of the amount will be deducted in order to cancel this ticket in case of bus is not dropped. Remaining amount will be refunded into your Daewoo Wallet." A wallet balance spends only on Daewoo. If you want the 70 per cent back on your card or in your bank, do not cancel from your account. Use the refund portal instead.

How do you get a refund from Daewoo?

Through the online refund portal at daewoo.com.pk/refund/index, which is a separate form from the cancel button and pays out to a bank account, a card or Daewoo Miles. It is meant for the cases where the fault is not yours: a cancelled bus, or a payment taken without a ticket being issued. A third option, Other, covers everything else and is decided case by case.

The form runs to six sections, and it wants more than most people have to hand, so gather these before you start:

• Your name, mobile number, email and CNIC.
• The route, travel date, departure time and seat number.
• The date, time and channel of the payment, meaning web, mobile app or kiosk, and how many attempts you made.
• The card type, issuing bank, the last digits of the card and the booking reference.
• How you want the money: bank account, credit card or Daewoo Miles.

Two conditions on the portal decide most requests. A refund "will not be accepted if ticket has been generated against provided booking # and the passenger has completed his journey on the same ticket", and a refund "after the departure of bus will not applicable". So the request has to go in before the bus leaves, and the journey must not have been taken.

Once submitted you get a request number. Type it into the box on the homepage to see the status, which moves through in process, rejected, or approved. An approved card refund, the portal says, "may take 3 to 4 weeks depending on the operational procedures of the acquiring bank". An approved cash refund shows the terminal where you collect it. How much does a Daewoo ticket cost?

Daewoo does not publish a fare table. The price appears only in the search results for a specific pair of terminals on a specific date, and the site says the app's Early Bird and Off Peak discounts change it by time of booking and time of travel. The fare pages that rank on Google for "Daewoo fares" belong to third-party bus directories, and we have not copied their numbers here because none of them is Daewoo's.

We tried to pull live fares from the site's own search on 17 September 2026 and got an empty list of arrival terminals back, which is a limit of reading the site by script rather than a fault on Daewoo's side. The honest instruction is the short one: run the search on daewoo.com.pk for your own date, and treat any fare you see elsewhere as an estimate. The train is the opposite case, with a fixed fare by class that the process of booking train tickets online shows before you pay. On a motorway route, the ticket is the only cost, since the motorway toll rates are paid by the operator, not the passenger.

Which terminals do you choose for the main routes?

Daewoo's terminals page lists an address and a phone number for each, and the booking form uses the same names. These are the five most searched for, read from the site on 17 September 2026.

For Lahore to Islamabad, the form gives you two departure choices in Lahore and, at the other end, Rawalpindi or Faizabad. The Rawalpindi terminal is out at Jhangi Sayyedan on the far side of the city, so anyone heading into Islamabad itself is usually better off with Faizabad. For Lahore to Karachi, there is one terminal at each end. For Rawalpindi to Multan, choose Rawalpindi and Multan (Main).

Winter travellers should build in the fog. Daewoo's terms make the company not responsible for late departures caused by weather, and the pattern of motorway closures in fog means a December night departure from Lahore can leave hours late with no refund owed.

Can I book a Daewoo ticket without registering?

Not online. The website and app both require an account with a mobile number and an email, each confirmed by a one-time code. The counter and the helpline need no account.

What payment methods does Daewoo accept online?
