Disabled Passengers Get 50% Off AirSial Domestic Flights in Pakistan With a Special CNIC
AirSial gives Special CNIC holders 50% off domestic basic fares and one attendant 25%. See how to book at its offices, the rules, and what PIA and South Air do.

Short answer: AirSial gives passengers with a disability 50% off the basic fare on its domestic flights in Pakistan, and 25% off for one attendant on the same flight. You need an original Special CNIC from NADRA, and you must buy the ticket at an AirSial sales office, not online. Taxes are charged in full.
For the AirSial helpline, baggage rules and refund charges, see our AirSial booking, baggage and refunds guide.
We read AirSial's Special Person Discount Policy on its website on 9 October 2026. The policy says the discount follows the National Aviation Policy 2019. We also checked what PIA and South Air publish for disabled passengers. Here is what each airline offers, how to claim the AirSial discount, and the rules that can catch you out.
AirSial cuts the basic fare in half for a Special CNIC holder
AirSial's policy gives a 50% discount to a passenger with a disability, which it calls a "special person", on domestic travel. One accompanying attendant gets 25% off. Both discounts apply only to the basic fare. Government taxes and fees are collected in full.
So the saving is smaller than half the ticket price. On a domestic ticket, taxes and fees can be a large part of what you pay. Ask the sales office to show the basic fare and the taxes separately, so you can see the real saving.
| Rule | What AirSial's policy says |
|---|---|
| Passenger with a disability | 50% off the basic fare |
| One attendant | 25% off the basic fare, same flight only |
| Proof needed | Original NADRA Special CNIC (SCNIC) |
| Where to buy | AirSial's own sales outlets only |
| Fare types | All: Nil Baggage, Standard Baggage and Extra Baggage |
| Taxes and fees | Charged in full |
| Routes | Domestic only |

You need a Special CNIC before you book
The discount is tied to NADRA's Special CNIC, the identity card that carries the disability logo. A disability certificate on its own is not enough under AirSial's policy. The counter staff must see the original card, and they keep a copy of it and of the attendant's CNIC.
If you do not have one yet, the process starts with a disability certificate from your provincial social welfare or health board, then a visit to NADRA. The full route is in how to get a disability certificate and Special CNIC. In Punjab, the certificate itself can be applied for online, as set out in the Punjab online disability certificate process.
Book at an AirSial office in 5 steps
The discount is not offered on the website or the app. AirSial's policy says its counter staff collect the details and send them to its revenue management team, which creates two linked bookings. Follow these steps:
- Find an AirSial sales office in your city, or call the AirSial helpline on 021-387-320-63 to ask where one is.
- Take the original Special CNIC of the passenger with a disability, and the attendant's CNIC.
- Ask for the Special Person discount by name, and give both travel dates if you need a return.
- Check the two bookings. The attendant's booking must mention the passenger's booking reference, called a PNR. Both must be on the same flight.
- Pay and keep both tickets. At check-in, the system should show a remark that you are a special person and attendant.

Three rules can cost you the discount
AirSial's policy is short, but a few lines matter a lot.
- The attendant cannot fly alone on the ticket. If the passenger with a disability does not travel, the attendant is not allowed to use the discounted ticket. The normal refund rules apply instead.
- No other discount stacks on top. The policy says no other discount applies to these passengers. If a sale fare is cheaper, compare the final prices before you choose.
- Tickets cannot be transferred. They are non-transferable and non-endorsable, which means you cannot move them to another person or another airline.
If the passenger travels but the attendant cannot, the attendant's ticket is refunded under the refund policy printed on the ticket. And AirSial keeps its general right to refuse carriage for safety reasons under its conditions of carriage.
PIA and South Air publish assistance, not a discount
We looked for a disability fare discount on the websites of PIA and South Air on 9 October 2026 and did not find one. That does not prove no discount exists. It means neither airline publishes one where we looked, so ask at the airline's own office before you book.
What PIA does publish is help on board. Its special assistance page says passengers with disabilities get help moving to and from their seats, help preparing to eat, and use of an on-board wheelchair to the toilet door. Every PIA aircraft carries an on-board wheelchair. PIA will not help with personal care inside the toilet, with eating or with medicines, so it suggests travelling with a carer if you need that. You can record your needs on PIA's Special Assistance Form before the flight.
South Air's terms say visually impaired and blind passengers may travel only with an escort. Its call centre is 051 111 222 999.
| Airline | Published disability discount | Published help |
|---|---|---|
| AirSial | 50% basic fare, 25% for one attendant, domestic | Discount policy with Special CNIC |
| PIA | None found on its website | Seat help, on-board wheelchair, Special Assistance Form |
| South Air | None found on its website | Blind passengers fly with an escort |
Airport wheelchairs and help through security are a separate service. Ask for them when you book, and again at check-in. For baggage rules on each airline, including how a wheelchair counts, see the domestic baggage allowances of five airlines.
If the counter refuses the discount
Ask the staff to check AirSial's Special Person Discount Policy, document number ASL/OHO/KHI/COM/POLICY 02, dated 7 May 2021. It says the policy stays valid until the commercial department says otherwise. Keep the Special CNIC with you, and ask for the refusal in writing.
If you still get nowhere, complain to AirSial through its helpline, then to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. Your wider rights if a flight is delayed or cancelled are in what airlines must give you when a flight is delayed or cancelled.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We checked this on 9 October 2026. Sources: AirSial Special Person Discount Policy, AirSial's call centre page, PIA special assistance and South Air's terms and conditions. The National Aviation Policy 2019 file on the Aviation Division website returned a "not found" page, so we could not read clause 8.1(g) that AirSial cites. We did not book a ticket or call any helpline.
