Easypaisa sells insurance inside its app through an "insurance marketplace". Its terms page lists 29 plans, from CNIC insurance with cover up to Rs 10,000 to a cancer plan paying Rs 1,000,000 on diagnosis. Prices we could confirm include Rs 199 a month for Women Health and Rs 60 a month for each Rs 100,000 of EFU cancer cover. Claims are filed in the app, and the insurer, not easypaisa, pays them.

We read easypaisa's insurance pages and the insurer documents they link to on 28 October 2026. Below is every plan with its cover, the prices published by the insurers, the cancel and refund rules, and two places where easypaisa's page and the insurer's terms disagree.

Easypaisa lists 29 insurance plans in eight groups

Easypaisa's terms page lists 29 plans across general, health, life, mobile, pocket size and travel cover. Its main insurance page describes "40 plus plans", so the app may show more. Each plan is underwritten by an insurer: Webdoc, EFU, oladoc, IGI or Healthwire.

"Up to" is doing a lot of work in that list. It is the most a plan can pay, usually on its highest tier. Smaller monthly versions pay less, as the Women Health plan below shows.

Easypaisa insurance plans grouped by type with maximum cover in 2026

Women Health costs Rs 199 a month and cancer cover Rs 60 a month

The insurers' own documents give prices for some plans. Webdoc's Women Health plan costs Rs 199 a month or Rs 1,999 a year. EFU's Cancer Cover costs Rs 2 a day, Rs 60 a month or Rs 720 a year for each Rs 100,000 of cover.

EFU Cancer Cover, Rs 500,000 of coverRs 300 a month (our sum)Rs 500,000 on diagnosis
EFU Accident and Mobile Theft, monthlyRs 100 a monthSee the conflict below

The Rs 300 a month for Rs 500,000 of cancer cover follows from EFU's table of 60 rupees a unit. EFU's terms set an entry age of 18 to 59. Webdoc's health plans cover ages 5 to 65. For plans without a published price, the app shows it before you pay. Note it down, because the documents say a price change applies to all policy holders.

Insurance through a wallet is common now, and prices can be compared with JazzCash insurance prices for similar covers.

Two easypaisa plans show different cover in the insurer's terms

The easypaisa page and the EFU documents it links to disagree on two plans. Easypaisa lists mobile theft cover up to Rs 73,000, while EFU's linked terms pay Rs 10,000 for a lost phone. Fraud cover is listed at Rs 300,000, while the linked terms show Rs 150,000.

Here is what we found. EFU's Accident and Mobile Theft document pays Rs 50,000 for accidental death, Rs 50,000 for permanent disability, Rs 10,000 for medical bills after an accident, Rs 10,000 for a phone snatched at gunpoint, and Rs 3,000 for documents. It also gives the annual premium as Rs 1,000 in one table and Rs 900 in another. The fraud plan document shows "Option 4", with fraud cover up to Rs 150,000 plus Rs 150,000 for accidental death.

The linked documents may be older versions, or easypaisa may now sell a higher tier. We could not tell which, so here is how to protect yourself before you pay.

  1. Open the plan in the easypaisa app and screenshot the cover amount and price.
  2. Open the plan's terms link and check that the cover matches.
  3. If they differ, call easypaisa on 3737 from a Telenor number, or 042-111-003-737, and ask which document applies.
  4. Keep the policy SMS you receive on enrolment and on each premium deduction.

Claims go through the app, and EFU pays within 15 working days

Easypaisa says you file insurance claims in the app's Insurance Marketplace. The insurer settles the claim. EFU's terms say it pays the insured person, or their legal heirs, within 15 working days of receiving a complete claim.

"Complete" is the key word. A claim with a missing hospital bill or FIR is not complete, and the 15 days do not start. For a phone snatching, that means an FIR. For a hospital stay, it means the discharge papers and bills. Easypaisa is only a "reseller and facilitator", in its own words, so the insurer decides the claim.

If a claim is refused or delayed, complain to the insurer first. If that fails, the Insurance Ombudsman handles complaints against insurers, and it is free. You can also reach easypaisa at complaints@easypaisa.com.pk.

Steps to make an easypaisa insurance claim and escalate it

You can cancel an easypaisa plan, but plans renew for 5 years

The insurers' terms say most easypaisa plans renew automatically for up to five years. You can unsubscribe at any time in the app or on 3737. Six month and annual plans can be reversed within 15 days for health plans and 30 days for life plans.

Monthly plans have no such refund window. EFU's mobile theft terms say: "No freelook period applicable on opting a monthly premium plan." A pre-payment SMS is sent at least three days before each monthly deduction, which is your warning if you have forgotten a plan. The general rules on getting your money back are set out under cancelling a policy within the free look period.

Check your easypaisa statement for small regular deductions you do not recognise. Rs 100 or Rs 199 a month is easy to miss, and over five years of auto renewal it adds up.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read easypaisa's insurance page and its plans and terms list on 28 October 2026. We also read the insurer documents linked there for Women Health, Health, CNIC, Passport, Cancer Cover, Transactional Insurance and Accident and Mobile Theft. Prices for most plans are not published outside the app, and we did not buy a plan. The conflicts above are between easypaisa's page and the documents it links to, and we could not tell which one is current.
