Enrol Your Child in Benazir Taleemi Wazaif: CNIC, B-Form and School Slip
BISP says children of active Kafaalat beneficiaries aged 4 to 22 enrol with a CNIC, NADRA B-form and school slip. See the steps, the app and what to fix first.

Short answer: To enrol a child in Benazir Taleemi Wazaif, the mother or the BISP Kafaalat beneficiary takes her CNIC, the child's NADRA B-form or CRC, and a school admission slip to a BISP enrolment camp or field office. The child must be 4 to 22 years old and already admitted to a school or college.
Many families wait for a letter that never comes. The Taleemi Wazaif stipend does not start by itself when a child joins school. Somebody has to walk the child's papers into a BISP office, and the school slip has to be signed by a teacher first.
We read BISP's own Benazir Taleemi Wazaif registration process document on the BISP downloads page on 12 October 2026. It is a short official note. Below is what it says, in plain steps, and where it stops short.
Only children of active Kafaalat beneficiaries can enrol
BISP lists one eligibility rule: the child must be the child of an active Benazir Kafaalat beneficiary. A family that is not receiving Kafaalat cannot join Taleemi Wazaif on its own. The programme sits on top of Kafaalat, so the mother's payment status comes first.
That is why the first thing to check is the mother's record. Send her CNIC number by SMS to 8171 and read the reply. Our explainer on checking your BISP payment and eligibility on 8171 shows what each reply means. If the reply says the household is not eligible, Taleemi Wazaif is closed to you until that changes.

Take three documents to the BISP enrolment camp or field office
You need the beneficiary's CNIC, the child's B-form or CRC issued by NADRA, and a school admission slip showing the class and school name, verified by the teacher. The beneficiary must go herself with the child. BISP does not accept the papers alone.
- Get a school admission slip that shows the child's class and the name of the school.
- Ask the teacher to verify the slip. An unsigned slip is the most likely reason for a refusal.
- Check that the child's B-form or CRC is a NADRA document and that the details match the school record.
- Go with the child to the nearest BISP enrolment camp or field office, and carry the beneficiary's original CNIC.
- Ask for proof of enrolment and keep it with the other family papers.

The document does not say how many children one family may enrol, and it does not list a fee. It does not ask for any payment. If anybody asks for money to put a child on the list, that is not part of the process BISP describes. Our report on agents illegally cutting BISP payments explains how to report it.
The B-form check is the step that stops most files
BISP says the B-form or CRC is checked against the NADRA database, and that this is compulsory. A child whose B-form was never made, or whose name or date of birth differs between the B-form and the school record, can be held up at this step.
Fix the paperwork before the visit rather than after it. If the child has no B-form, the family has to get one from NADRA first. If the school spelled the name differently, ask the school to correct its record and re-sign the slip. Ten minutes at the school desk saves a second trip to a tehsil office.
The age bands also overlap on purpose. A child who is 12 can be listed under primary or secondary, depending on the class the child is actually in. BISP's document links the band to the education level, not only to the age. So write the class on the slip clearly.
A BISP Android app is listed for self-enrolment by parents and teachers
The same document says BISP has built a digital application for self-enrolment. Parents or teachers can use it to enrol children of active Kafaalat beneficiaries. The download link given is the Google Play Store page for the package named pk.gov.bisp.enrollment.
We did not install the app or test the enrolment. We can only say that BISP's own document points to it. Download it only from the Play Store link named in BISP's document, and never from a link sent on WhatsApp. The document does not describe what the app asks for, so expect to need the same three documents.
The registration document in the BISP downloads list carries a 2022 date in its file name. BISP still lists it as the current registration process, but the programme may have changed since. Ask the field office what applies today before you travel.
After enrolment the stipend depends on the child being in school
Enrolment only puts the child on the list. The stipend is conditional, which means the money is tied to the child going to school. How much is paid, and the attendance rule behind it, is set out in our piece on what Benazir Taleemi Wazaif actually pays.
Keep the child's school record regular. If a quarter is not paid, the first question for the BISP office is whether the child is recorded as compliant for that quarter. The question "where is my money" gets a slower answer than "which condition did my child fail".
For a status check or a complaint, the BISP helpline is 0800-26477, listed on the BISP website. It is free. Do not give your CNIC number or any code to a caller. The only official BISP message number is 8171.
Common questions
Can a family that does not receive Kafaalat enrol a child?
No. BISP's document lists children of active Kafaalat beneficiaries as the eligible group. A household outside Kafaalat has to qualify for that first.
What documents are needed to enrol a child?
The beneficiary's CNIC, the child's B-form or CRC issued by NADRA, and a school admission slip with the class and school name verified by the teacher.
What ages does Benazir Taleemi Wazaif cover?
BISP lists 4 to 12 years for primary, 8 to 18 for secondary and 13 to 22 for higher secondary education.
Can I enrol my child online?
BISP's document names an Android application for self-enrolment by parents or teachers. We did not test it, so confirm at a BISP field office that it works for your district.
Is there a fee to enrol?
The document lists no fee. Any demand for money should be reported on 0800-26477.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif registration process document and the downloads list on the BISP website on 12 October 2026. The 0800-26477 helpline is listed on the same site. The document's file name carries a 2022 date, and BISP may have updated the process since. Rules change by notice, so check with a BISP field office before you travel.
