DigiSkills courses are free. Sign up now at digiskills.pk/Register.aspx with your name, email and mobile number. DigiSkills says enrolment for Batch 5 opens in November 2026, on a first come, first served basis, with the exact date still to be announced. You can take up to two of its 24 courses per batch.

Every few months a "DigiSkills registration is open" message goes round WhatsApp, and half the time it is not. We read DigiSkills' own FAQ, How It Works page and sign-up form on 2 October 2026, so the dates and limits below are the programme's own. The sign-up form is open today. Course enrolment for the next batch is not open yet.

DigiSkills Batch 5 enrolment opens in November 2026 according to the programme FAQ

DigiSkills Batch 5 enrolment opens in November 2026

DigiSkills' FAQ says enrolment for Batch 5 courses will open in November 2026 and the exact date will be announced later. Seats go first come, first served. The FAQ also says enrolment opens one month before each batch starts, so classes should follow about a month later.

The current batch is Batch 4 of DigiSkills 3.0. The homepage counter showed 314,961 enrolments in it when we checked. Classes for that batch began in August 2026, according to the FAQ.

So the practical move today is simple. Sign up now, activate your account, and wait for the November announcement. Signing up early means you only have to pick courses when the window opens, instead of fighting a slow form on the first day.

DigiSkills is a federal programme. The Ministry of IT and Telecom conceived it, Ignite funds it, and the Virtual University of Pakistan runs it. When it launched, it was announced as DigiSkills 3.0 with 25 free courses; the FAQ now lists 24.

Sign up and enrol in six steps

Create a free account on digiskills.pk, activate it from the email, complete your trainee profile on the learning system, and enrol in up to two courses when the batch window opens. Then follow the weekly videos, quizzes and exercises until the batch ends.

  1. Sign up at digiskills.pk/Register.aspx. The form asks for first name, last name, email address, mobile operator code and number, and a password.
  2. Activate your account. Open the activation email. If it never arrives, sign in with your email and password and regenerate it.
  3. Complete your profile on lms.digiskills.pk. This is the learning management system, the LMS, where all classes happen.
  4. Enrol when the batch window opens. Pick at most two courses. Enrolment opens about a month before the batch.
  5. Study each week. New videos go live every Monday by 11:00 am. You can follow the timetable or study at your own pace.
  6. Pass the assessments. Quizzes and exercises run on a set calendar. Finish them to qualify for the certificate.
Steps to sign up and enrol in a free DigiSkills course

No fee is charged at any step. DigiSkills' FAQ says the programme is "absolutely for FREE". Anyone asking you to pay for a DigiSkills seat or certificate is not part of the programme.

The 24 free courses and the two per batch limit

DigiSkills lists 24 courses, from Freelancing and Graphics Design to Artificial Intelligence with Python and Cloud Computing. You can take at most two per batch. The FAQ itself advises learning two or three skills well rather than enrolling in everything.

AreaCourses DigiSkills lists
Freelancing and businessFreelancing, E-Commerce Management, Startup Strategies and Entrepreneurship, Virtual Assistant, QuickBooks
Marketing and writingDigital Marketing, SEO, Affiliate Marketing, Creative Writing, Communication and Soft Skills
Design and mediaGraphics Design, Video Editing, Animation and Vlogging, UI/UX and Webflow, 3D Modeling, AutoCAD
Development and dataWordPress, Full Stack Development with MERN, Mobile Game and App Development, Shopify Development and Dropshipping, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
New technology and otherArtificial Intelligence with Python, Cloud Computing, Digital Literacy, Legal Drafting and Global Compliance

Pick by what you want to sell, not by what sounds modern. A beginner with no portfolio will usually find work faster with Graphics Design or WordPress than with Cloud Computing. If you have never used a computer much, Digital Literacy first is not a waste of a seat.

Who can join and what you need

There is no minimum education requirement. DigiSkills says anyone who can read, write and understand English can join. The lessons mix Urdu and English. You need a computer with internet, an email address and a mobile number.

The programme is aimed at students, housewives, job seekers, professionals and existing freelancers who want new skills. It does not offer jobs. Its FAQ says plainly that it trains you so you can find projects on freelance marketplaces yourself, with coaches helping you build a profile and bid.

Key facts about DigiSkills eligibility, cost and certificate

A phone alone is a struggle for most courses. Exercises in design, video and coding assume a laptop or desktop. If you are buying one for this, check the laptop instalment plans before paying full price.

The certificate comes from the Virtual University, online only

Trainees who meet the completion criteria get a verified e-certificate issued by the Virtual University of Pakistan. There is no hard copy. You download it from the LMS under My Results, then View, then Download or Print.

Download your handouts during the batch, too. After a batch ends, DigiSkills keeps your videos and exercises available, but handouts, books and links are removed.

A certificate opens a door; it does not get you paid. Clients judge your portfolio. Once you can deliver work, the next steps are a payout route and a bank account that can hold foreign earnings, explained in getting paid as a freelancer.
