How to Enter the World Cup 2027 Ticket Ballot From Pakistan, Free Until 21 November
The ICC World Cup 2027 ticket ballot is free and closes 21 November 2026. Here is how to enter from Pakistan, the four-ticket rule and the visa you will need.

You can enter the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 ticket ballot from Pakistan for free at tickets.cricketworldcup.com until 21 November 2026. The ballot closes at 23:59 South African time, which is 2:59 am PKT on 22 November. You can ask for up to four tickets per match, and you pay nothing now.
We read the ICC's ballot FAQ document, the ballot website itself and the ICC's ballot announcement on 9 October 2026. This guide covers the steps, the rules that catch people out, and what a Pakistani fan has to sort out beyond the ticket, mainly a South African visa.
The big one for most readers is India vs Pakistan in Johannesburg on Sunday 10 October 2027. That match will almost certainly have more requests than seats, so a random draw decides who gets to buy. Interest is high after India beat Pakistan in the Asian Games final on 3 October 2026.
The World Cup 2027 ballot is free and open until 21 November
The ICC opened the ballot on 1 October 2026 and it closes on 21 November 2026 at 23:59 SAST. Entry is free, and no card or bank details are asked for. Entering early gives no advantage, because every valid entry in the window is treated the same.
| Ballot rule | What the ICC says |
|---|---|
| Opens | 1 October 2026 |
| Closes | 21 November 2026, 23:59 SAST (2:59 am PKT, 22 November) |
| Cost to enter | Free, no payment details |
| Tickets per match | Up to 4 per person |
| Minimum age | 18 |
| Results | By email within two weeks of the close |
| Where | tickets.cricketworldcup.com only |
The ICC says there is one ballot for the whole tournament and for fans everywhere. A fan in Lahore enters the same draw as a fan in Johannesburg or London. Pakistan is not given a separate quota in anything the ICC has published.
How to enter the ballot from Pakistan, step by step
You need an ICC account, then you pick matches, choose a ticket category and say how many tickets you want. The whole entry takes a few minutes. Go slowly, because a submitted entry cannot be edited afterwards.
- Open tickets.cricketworldcup.com by typing the address yourself.
- Sign in with your ICC account, or create one and verify it through the email the ICC sends.
- Pick each match you want. Each match is a separate entry, so add India vs Pakistan and any other games one by one.
- For each match, choose your preferred ticket category and the number of tickets, up to four.
- Tick the accessible seating option if anyone in your group needs it.
- Check every detail, then submit. Keep the confirmation email the ICC sends you.
Use an email address you check often. Your result and your payment window both arrive there, and a missed email can cost you the tickets. If the confirmation does not arrive, look in the spam folder first. The ICC's FAQ gives info@ticketpros.co.za as the ticketing support address.
Pakistan's group matches to enter for
Pakistan play five group matches between 8 and 22 October 2027, four in South Africa and one in Zimbabwe. The India game in Johannesburg is the second one. Start times have not been published, so you are entering for a date and a ground, not a time.
| Date | Match | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| Fri 8 Oct 2027 | Pakistan v Afghanistan | Tshwane, South Africa |
| Sun 10 Oct 2027 | India v Pakistan | Johannesburg, South Africa |
| Fri 15 Oct 2027 | Pakistan v Qualifier A | Bloemfontein, South Africa |
| Tue 19 Oct 2027 | Zimbabwe v Pakistan | Harare, Zimbabwe |
| Fri 22 Oct 2027 | Australia v Pakistan | Paarl, South Africa |
The full Pakistan World Cup 2027 schedule also lists the Super 7 games Pakistan are seeded to play if they get through, including a second India match in Cape Town on 7 November.
Our honest advice: enter for more than the India game. Every match is a separate draw. A fan who enters only for Johannesburg has one chance. A fan who also enters for Tshwane and Paarl has three.
What happens after the ballot closes
The ICC will email every entrant within two weeks of 21 November 2026, so by about 5 December. A successful entry is not a ticket. It is an invitation to buy within a fixed window, and if you miss the window the tickets go back into the pool.
- Successful: you get an email explaining how and when to buy. You may be offered fewer tickets than you asked for.
- Unsuccessful: you also get an email. The ICC says later sales phases may still offer tickets.
- Not oversubscribed: if a match has enough seats, everyone who entered gets the chance to buy.
Payment methods have not been announced. The ICC says it will use globally accepted methods plus local ones for the host countries, and will confirm them before sales open. If your Pakistani debit card does not work for international payments, sort that out with your bank before December, not on the day.
Rules that can get your entry thrown out
Duplicate or fraudulent entries disqualify you, the ICC says. That means one entry per person per match. Making three accounts to improve your chances is exactly what the ICC says it removes.
- Only people aged 18 or over can enter. A parent asks for a child's ticket inside their own entry, within the four-ticket limit.
- Nobody can enter on your behalf. Each entry is tied to the ICC account and details of the person entering.
- You cannot edit an entry once submitted. You can withdraw it from the confirmation page, but the ICC says withdrawal is for the whole entry, not one match.
- Buy only through tickets.cricketworldcup.com. Anyone selling "ballot places" or early access on social media is not part of the ICC process.
Pakistanis need a South African visa to attend
Ordinary Pakistani passport holders are not on South Africa's visa exemption list, so you need a visa before you travel. South Africa's Department of Home Affairs adds that since 1 August 2022, Pakistani passport holders also need a visa even to transit through the country.
Apply only once you hold tickets, and leave plenty of time. A match ticket does not guarantee a visa, and the ICC's FAQ does not mention visa help for fans. For the Harare game you will also need to check Zimbabwe's own entry rules. Pakistan's home season runs at the same time as the ballot, and the ODI tri-series with England and Sri Lanka this month is a cheaper way to watch most of the same players.
