Pakistan ODI Tri-Series 2026: England and Sri Lanka Fixtures, 18 to 31 October

Pakistan will host England and Sri Lanka in a one-day international (ODI) tri-series from 18 to 31 October 2026. Seven matches are fixed: three in Rawalpindi, then three league games and the final in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the dates and venues. It has not yet published start times, squads or ticket sales.

We read the fixture list on PCB's own website on 26 September. It matches the schedule PCB announced on 19 August, match for match. The England and Wales Cricket Board has published the same list on its site, so both home and visiting boards agree on the dates.

The tri-series starts five days after Pakistan's three T20 matches against Sri Lanka end in Rawalpindi on 13 October. The 50 over games that follow are a separate event, with their own fixture list.

Pakistan play seven ODIs in 14 days from 18 October

The Pakistan ODI tri-series runs from Sunday 18 October to Saturday 31 October 2026. Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka each play the other two sides twice. That makes six league matches. The top two teams then meet in the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Each league match is followed by one rest day, and two rest days fall between the Rawalpindi and Lahore legs. Pakistan play four league games, two in each city. Two of them, on 18 and 25 October, fall on a Sunday, which is good news for anyone who works on weekdays.

PCB lists the event as the "Pakistan, England and Sri Lanka Tri-nation ODI Series 2026/27". Its fixture page shows the final as "TBC vs TBC", because the two finalists depend on the league table.

Rawalpindi hosts the first three matches

All three sides start in Rawalpindi. Pakistan play Sri Lanka on 18 October and England on 20 October. England and Sri Lanka meet on 22 October. Then the three teams move to Lahore for the rest of the event.

Sri Lanka will already know the Rawalpindi ground well. They arrive in Pakistan on 4 October for the T20 series, which is played at the same stadium. England arrive after the T20 matches, PCB's release says, so the ODI against Pakistan on 20 October will be their first game of the trip.

The Rawalpindi leg is short. Only one of the three matches is on a weekend. If you can only go to one game in the city, 18 October, a Sunday, is the one that suits most working fans.

Lahore hosts four matches, including the final

Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore hosts the second half. Pakistan play England on 25 October and Sri Lanka on 27 October. England and Sri Lanka meet on 29 October. The final is on Saturday 31 October, between the top two sides of the league stage.

For Pakistan, the last league game on 27 October may decide whether they reach the final. After that, the 29 October match between England and Sri Lanka could settle the second place. PCB has not published the points rules or the tie-breaker, so we cannot say yet what happens if teams finish level.

Pakistan and England also met in a three Test series in England in August and September. Babar Azam led that side as Pakistan's new Test captain. The ODIs in Rawalpindi and Lahore are a quick return meeting in a different format.

Start times, squads and tickets are not announced yet

As of 26 September, PCB has not published start times, squads, ticket prices or a sale date for the tri-series. Its latest media releases cover domestic cricket, the Asian Games and an under 17 series. Nothing on its website yet names a ticket seller for these matches.

Be careful with ticket offers until PCB opens a sale. PCB's ticket site for its last home series was pcb.tcs.com.pk. When we opened it on the evening of 26 September, it showed a "bad gateway" error, which means the server behind it did not answer. That is normal between series. It does not mean tickets are on sale anywhere else.

1. Watch PCB's media releases for a notice that says tickets are going on sale.
2. Buy only from the seller that notice names.
3. Do not pay anyone on WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram before that notice appears.
4. Keep the CNIC you used to buy, because PCB sold its last home series tickets against a CNIC.

Pakistan's players are busy until then. PCB lists the Asian Games men's cricket event from 28 September to 3 October, and the Asian Games 2026 schedule runs alongside it. The T20 series against Sri Lanka follows from 9 October. So the ODI squad may not be named until mid October.
