Submit the FBISE Exam Admission Form: Private Candidate Attestation, Late Fee and the 3 Day Posting Rule
FBISE exam admission form rules: who attests a private candidate form, why a short fee or missing registration number fails it, the late fee window and mailing.

Short answer: An FBISE regular student sends the exam admission form and fee through the school. An ex or private candidate sends it directly, with the form attested by a government officer of BPS-17 or above in the Education Department, or an armed forces officer, plus the head of an affiliated institution. Forms posted by mail must go at least 3 days early.
A private candidate in Rawalpindi fills in her HSSC admission form at the last minute. At the board counter, a clerk says it cannot be accepted. The attestation is missing, or the fee is short, or the registration number is blank. These are small mistakes, and they cost days or the whole exam.
We read rule 1.14 and rule 1.8 of the FBISE General Rules for Examination on 13 October 2026. This guide turns them into a checklist. For the actual dates and fee for this exam, read the board's latest notice. The rules give the method and the limits, not the 2026 dates.
Regular students go through the school, private candidates go direct
Rule 1.14 (a) says a regular candidate who is on a school roll and registered with the board sends the form and the prescribed fee through the head of the school. The form must reach the board by the dates the board notifies.
An ex or private candidate sends the form on their own, completed in every respect, with the fee, within the dates the board fixes. The form must be attested by a government officer of BPS-17 or above in the Education Department, or an officer of the armed forces, besides the head of an affiliated institution.
| Item | FBISE rule |
|---|---|
| Regular candidate | Form and fee go through the head of the school |
| Ex or private candidate | Form is attested by a BPS-17 officer and a school head |
| Registration number | A regular candidate's form is not accepted without it |
| Fee | The form is accepted only with the full fee |
| Mailed forms | Post at least 3 days before the last date |
| Result declared late | No late fee if received within 15 days of the result |

Get the form accepted the first time
The board accepts a form only if the fee comes with it. If the fee is short, the form is accepted only after the full fee due is deposited, according to the schedule the board notified. A regular candidate's form is not entertained without the registration number.
- Check the board's notice for the exam, the fee and the last date.
- Fill in the prescribed form fully, with the registration number if you are regular.
- For a private candidate, get the attestation of a BPS-17 officer and a school head.
- Pay the full fee as shown on the board's challan page.
- Submit by hand, or post it at least 3 days before the last date by tracked mail.

The exam fee in Pakistan is listed on the FBISE challan page as Rs 2,700 for SSC and Rs 3,000 for HSSC, with 120 and 130 US dollars abroad. Check the page for the current figure before you pay.
Late entries have a fee and a final cut off
Rule 1.14 (h) says the form and fee must be submitted up to 10 working days before the exam starts, with a penalty for each day after the quadruple fee schedule ends. After that deadline, forms are entertained as hardship cases, with the late admission proforma and the fee.
An exception protects students who are not at fault. If the result is declared after the last date, no late fee is charged, provided the form and fee reach the board within 15 days of the result and before the exam starts. This helps students who wait for a result before choosing papers.
The date is not the same for each exam. Look at the pages on the FBISE second annual exam and the FBISE class 11 registration to see how the board names its fee windows. For private candidates in Punjab and FBISE, see the guide to matric 2027 private registration.
A change of exam centre needs a reason and 30 days
Rule 1.8 says a change of centre is not allowed in normal conditions. It can be allowed if the father or guardian is transferred, retired or has moved, within Pakistan or abroad. The application should normally come 30 days before the exam.
The application needs a copy of the transfer or retirement order, attested by the head of an affiliated school. For a move within Pakistan, an affidavit is needed. For a move from or to another country, an attested passport and a valid visa or a confirmed air ticket are needed. The fee is not refunded even if the change is refused.

No change is allowed from one centre to another in the same city or twin city, under any circumstance. The Chairman can still accept a late application in exceptional cases.
Keep every receipt and the proof of posting
If a form goes missing, the proof of posting and the paid challan are your only evidence. Keep scans of both, the attested form and the registration number. If you later need a refund for a form that was not used, see the rules in the guide on FBISE exam fee refunds.
If the form has a wrong name or date of birth, correct it before the board prints the roll number slip. The page on NADRA and FBISE student registration shows how to check these first.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 13 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read rules 1.8 and 1.14 in the FBISE General Rules for Examination and the board's fee challan page. We did not read the 2026 admission notice, so we give no dates for this exam, and the rule does not state the daily penalty amount.
