FBISE has moved the Class 11 registration deadline to 30 October 2026, at the normal fee of Rs 1,500 per student. The Federal Board's notice is dated 7 October 2026. The old deadline was 6 October. Colleges submit the registration online on the FBISE website, not students.

This matters for every first year student at a college affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) for the 2026 to 2028 session. That includes colleges in Islamabad, cantonments and garrisons, Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistani schools abroad. We read both FBISE notices on the board's website on 9 October 2026.

FBISE extended the Class 11 registration date to 30 October 2026

FBISE notice No. FBISE/REGN/NOTIF/HSSC/2026-28/1989, dated 7 October 2026, extends the date for the Class 11 registration return to 30 October 2026 with the normal fee. It covers the general stream of the HSSC, which is the intermediate (FA, FSc, ICS, ICom) level.

A "registration return" is the list of students a college sends to the board, with each student's details, photo and fee. Once the board accepts it, the student gets a registration number for the two-year intermediate course.

The extension is short and plain. It says it continues the board's 7 July 2026 notice No. 1512, which set the original schedule. Nothing else in that schedule is changed by the new notice.

FBISE Class 11 registration 2026 to 2028: session started August, old deadline 6 October, new deadline 30 October 2026

The normal fee stays Rs 1,500 per student in Pakistan

The July notice sets the registration fee at Rs 1,500 per student in Pakistan and US$100 per student abroad. Until 30 October 2026, colleges can submit at that normal fee. The 7 October notice does not change the amount.

ItemWhat the FBISE notices say
Academic session 2026 to 2028Started in the first week of August 2026
Original deadline, normal fee6 October 2026
Extended deadline, normal fee30 October 2026 (notice dated 7 October 2026)
Fee in PakistanRs 1,500 per student
Fee abroadUS$100 per student
Late return after a transfer from another boardRs 1,500 plus Rs 1,500 a month per student (abroad: US$100 plus US$30 a month)
How fee is paidAuto-generated challan at any HBL branch, Easypaisa, JazzCash or HBL Konnect

The late fee line in the July notice is written for students who transfer in from another board or an equivalent examination body. It charges Rs 1,500 per month per student on top of the registration fee, and the notice counts any part of a month as a full month. The July notice measured that late fee from 6 October. The 7 October notice does not say whether the late fee now starts after 30 October, so ask the board if a transfer case is involved.

Colleges submit the registration, students do not

Each affiliated college fills the online registration form on the FBISE website and pays the fee through the challan the system generates. A regular student does not apply alone. Your job is to make sure the college has your correct details before it submits.

The July notice is firm on this point. The head of the institution is responsible for the spelling of the student's name and father's name, the gender and a correctly scanned recent photo, preferably in college uniform. The board treats these details as final. They will be printed on every document FBISE issues, including the final certificate.

That is the real reason to act before 30 October. A wrong spelling caught now costs nothing. Caught after the certificate is printed, it means a correction case with the board.

  1. Ask your college office whether your registration return has been submitted to FBISE yet.
  2. Check your name, father's name and gender against your matric certificate or B-form.
  3. Give the college a clear, recent photo if it asks for one.
  4. If you passed matric from another board, hand in the documents listed below.
  5. Keep a copy of anything you submit, and note the date.

Students from other boards need a migration certificate

A student who passed matric from a board other than FBISE must give the college a verified copy of the SSC result card and an original migration certificate (NOC) from the old board. Some also need a gap certificate, an orphan certificate or an IBCC equivalence certificate.

The July notice lists the papers for these cases:

  • Original NOC or migration certificate from the previous board.
  • SSC result card, verified, and the college leaving certificate, attested by the principal.
  • A copy of the equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC, where it applies, attested by the principal.
  • A gap certificate or orphan certificate, if it applies to the student.

Students from Punjab boards can get a BISE Lahore migration certificate online. Peshawar has its own process for a migration certificate from BISE Peshawar. O level students need an IBCC equivalence certificate before their matric is counted.

The July notice tied the deadline for these papers to the closing date of the registration return. The 7 October notice does not mention the papers separately, so send them as early as you can.

O level and transfer students have their own 30 day windows

FBISE allows a student who passed O level, or an equivalent exam, to take admission within 30 days of the result. A student moving from another board can join within 30 days of leaving the old institution. The college must then register them within 15 days of admission.

These windows run alongside the main deadline. They do not depend on 30 October. If the 15 days pass, the late fee in the July notice applies.

Two more rules from the July notice are worth knowing. Students already registered with FBISE at matric level keep the same registration number when the renewal fee is paid. Students coming from other boards get a fresh number and card. And registration alone does not make a student eligible to sit an exam. The board can cancel a registration if the details turn out to be false.

FBISE Class 11 registration fee: Rs 1,500 per student in Pakistan, US$100 abroad

FBISE gives two phone numbers for registration questions

The 7 October notice lists Deputy Secretary (HSSC Registration) on 051-9269524 and Assistant Secretary (HSSC Registration) on 051-9269555, extension 134. The July notice adds the email address director.registrationsports@fbise.edu.pk. Your college should call first.

FBISE sits in Sector H-8/4, Islamabad. Its One Window Cell accepts documents in person for the other-board cases above.

Separately, the HSSC second annual exam for students who are repeating or improving papers starts on 28 October 2026. That is a different exam with its own forms, and the deadlines for the FBISE second annual exam have already passed.

Rs 1,500 per student in Pakistan and US$100 per student abroad, according to FBISE's 7 July 2026 notice.

No, not as a regular student. Your college submits the registration return online and pays the fee. You should check your details with the college.

An original migration certificate from your old board, a verified SSC result card and a college leaving certificate. Give them to your college before the deadline.

At any HBL branch using the challan the online system generates. FBISE also accepts Easypaisa, JazzCash and HBL Konnect.

Does this extension apply to the technical stream?

The 7 October notice names the general stream only. FBISE issued a separate schedule for the technical stream, so check that notice on the board's website.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 9 October 2026, about 1:00 am PKT. We read FBISE notice No. FBISE/REGN/NOTIF/HSSC/2026-28/1989 dated 7 October 2026 and the original schedule, notice No. 1512 dated 7 July 2026, both on the FBISE website. Both are scanned documents. We did not open the online registration portal, which is for colleges.
