NADRA and FBISE Link Student Registration: Check Your Name and Date of Birth First

A pencil case and a notebook on a dark wooden table, for a guide on the NADRA and FBISE student registration agreement

Short answer: On 1 September 2026 NADRA and the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) signed an agreement. NADRA will send FBISE each student's full name, father's name and date of birth straight from its registry. So the name on your CNIC or B-form should match your school record before registration.

A parent fills a form in a hurry and writes "Muhammad" in one place and "Mohammad" in another. Two years later the matric certificate and the CNIC do not agree, and an attestation or a visa file stalls. The new agreement is aimed at exactly this kind of mismatch.

We read NADRA's media release on its own website (reference PR-Sep-354, dated 1 September 2026) and the FBISE home page notices on 11 October 2026. The release is short. It does not say when the new data feed starts or which exam session it covers, and we say so below.

NADRA will supply three identity fields to FBISE directly

Under the agreement a mutual data exchange has been set up. NADRA will give FBISE the student's full name, father's name and date of birth from its registry for Matriculation and Intermediate registration. The aim, NADRA says, is fewer errors and discrepancies during registration.

The release also says the work leads to accurate and verifiable academic credentials. A verifiable credential is one that an employer or university can confirm without calling the board.

Summary of the NADRA and FBISE agreement signed on 1 September 2026

The Digital Wallet is planned, not yet open to students

The release says the partnership "includes the development of" a secure Digital Wallet. Students would be able to access, store and digitally share their educational certificates. It describes development, not a launch. We found no wallet link, app name or date on NADRA's or FBISE's pages.

So do not download an app or pay anyone for a "NADRA education wallet". Until NADRA or FBISE names an official link, treat such offers as unconfirmed. Our guide on HEC degree attestation shows the process that already works for degrees.

NADRA adds that it is working with secondary and higher secondary boards, universities and HEC to share data in the same way. FBISE is the one named so far.

Check your record before the college sends registration

Compare the name, father's name and date of birth on your CNIC or B-form (the child registration certificate) with what your school or college will submit. If anything differs, fix the NADRA record or tell the college before the return is sent to the board.

  1. Take your CNIC, or the child's B-form, and the latest school certificate.
  2. Check the spelling of the full name and the father's name letter by letter.
  3. Check the date of birth: day, month and year.
  4. If the B-form is wrong, correct it at NADRA. Our guide on the NADRA B-form explains the child record.
  5. If a date of birth is wrong on a CNIC, see the date of birth change process and its fee as NADRA states it.
  6. Give the corrected document to the school before the registration return is sent.
Steps to match a student's CNIC or B-form details with the school record before FBISE registration

Timing matters for FBISE Class 11 colleges now

FBISE's Class 11 registration return for the 2026 to 2028 session has a date of 30 October 2026 at the normal fee, set by a notice dated 7 October 2026. Colleges send the list, not students, so fix any mismatch with the college soon.

Our report on the FBISE Class 11 registration date has the notice details. Whether the NADRA feed already applies to this return is not stated in the release, so do not assume it does or does not.

What the agreement does not tell you

The release does not say how a student fixes a mismatch once data is exchanged, whether FBISE will accept corrections that NADRA has not yet recorded, or whether other boards will follow. We also could not find an FBISE notice that explains the process for colleges.

That is why the safe step is to keep your NADRA record clean. If a college asks for a document the agreement does not mention, ask for the notice number. The board's own website is the place to read it.

Common questions

Which boards does the NADRA agreement cover?

Only FBISE is named in the release. NADRA says it is working with other secondary and higher secondary boards, universities and HEC, but names no others.

What data does NADRA share with FBISE?

Full name, father's name and date of birth, taken from the national registry. The release lists no other fields.

Do I have to do anything now?

Nothing is required by the release. It is wise to check your CNIC or B-form against the school record before the college sends your registration.

Is the Digital Wallet available?

Not that we could find. The release says it is being developed and gives no link or date.

Will this fix old certificates with wrong names?

The release does not say so. It speaks about registration for Matriculation and Intermediate examinations. For an old certificate, read how to get a duplicate FBISE certificate or marksheet.

Who should I call about a NADRA record error?

NADRA's release lists its helpline as 1777, open 24 hours. Use it to book or ask about a correction at a NADRA centre.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read NADRA's media release "NADRA and FBISE Sign Agreement to Integrate Student Registration and Educational Certificates System" at nadra.gov.pk, and the notices on fbise.edu.pk, on 11 October 2026. The release is dated 1 September 2026. We saw no later NADRA or FBISE notice about the data feed or the wallet.
