FBISE Duplicate Certificate and Mark Sheet: Rs 4,000 and Rs 1,500, How to Apply
Lost your FBISE matric or inter certificate? A duplicate costs Rs 4,000 by paper form, and a mark sheet Rs 1,500 online by email. Steps, forms and fees here.

An FBISE duplicate certificate costs Rs 4,000 and is still a paper application: pay by HBL challan, fill the form and submit it at the Federal Board office in H-8/4, Islamabad, or post it. A duplicate mark sheet costs Rs 1,500 and is fully online, sent to your email after the fee clears.
We read the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) service pages, its fee list and its online application portal on 3 October 2026. The two documents follow two very different routes, and mixing them up wastes a trip to Islamabad.

FBISE charges Rs 4,000 for a duplicate certificate
The fee table on the FBISE challan portal lists Rs 4,000 for a duplicate matric (SSC) or inter (HSSC) certificate, or 70 US dollars from abroad. A duplicate mark sheet, also called a result card, costs Rs 1,500 or 35 dollars. Fees are not refunded.
The certificate is the "sanad", the final document. The mark sheet is the result card with marks in each subject. Check which one you actually lost before you pay.
| FBISE service | Fee in Pakistan | Fee from abroad | How to apply |
|---|---|---|---|
| Duplicate certificate (SSC or HSSC) | Rs 4,000 | $70 | Paper form, by hand or post |
| Duplicate mark sheet or result card | Rs 1,500 each | $35 each | Online portal |
| Verification of a certificate | Rs 1,000 per copy | $40 per copy | Online portal or paper form |
| Migration certificate (NOC) | Rs 1,000 | $30 | Online portal or paper form |
| Duplicate registration card or roll number slip | Rs 500 | $40 | Paper form |
| Correction in name, father's name or date of birth | Rs 2,500 within 3 years, Rs 5,500 after | $55 or $160 | Paper form through your institution |
If the printed challan ever shows a different amount, pay the challan figure.
How to apply for an FBISE duplicate certificate
Generate a challan for "Duplicate Certificate" on the FBISE challan portal, pay it at any HBL branch, fill the application form, and send it with the board's copy of the challan and a photocopy of your result. You can hand it in at the board or post it.
- Make the challan. Open the FBISE challan portal, choose SSC or HSSC, pick the duplicate certificate fee type and enter your registration number.
- Pay at HBL. The board's service page says any nearby HBL branch takes the payment. Keep both the depositor's copy and the board's copy.
- Fill the application form. Write your name, father's name, roll number, year, registration number and a full postal address exactly as they appear on your board record.
- Attach the papers. The FBISE certificate FAQ asks for a photocopy of your result and the board's copy of the bank challan.
- Submit it. Hand it in at the FBISE office or post it to the Secretary, FBISE, Sector H-8/4, Islamabad.

One problem we hit. On 3 October 2026 the link to the duplicate certificate form on the FBISE service page returned a "404 Not Found" error. The other forms on the same page, including the duplicate mark sheet form, downloaded normally. Until the board fixes it, collect the form from the One Window Cell at the board office, or write a plain application with the same details and attach the challan.
A duplicate mark sheet is fully online and comes by email
Apply at applications.fbise.edu.pk under "Duplicate Marks Sheet/Result Card". Enter your registration number, pick the class, year and roll number, generate a challan, pay it, and submit. FBISE emails the duplicate mark sheet after it confirms the fee.
The online form on the FBISE duplicate mark sheet page fills in your name and father's name from the registration number. That number must be at least 10 characters. You can pick more than one result card in a single application, and the fee is Rs 1,500 for each one you select. So SSC-I and SSC-II together cost Rs 3,000.
- If you already have a paid challan, choose "Challan already generated" and type its number.
- If not, choose "Generate new Challan" and print it.
- Applicants abroad can choose EFT in US dollars instead of a rupee challan.

The page lists helplines for mark sheet queries: 051 9269508 and mobile 0333 6823635. For SSC it gives 051 9269548, and for HSSC 051 9269546 or 051 9269522.
Name or date of birth mistakes need a correction case first
A duplicate copies the board record as it stands. If your name, father's name or date of birth is wrong, file a correction case through your school or college first. FBISE fixes its own mistakes free within one year of the first result card.
The fees on this one do not agree, and we would rather say so than guess. The current fee table lists Rs 2,500 within three years and Rs 5,500 after three years. The older HSSC correction form on the same site still prints Rs 1,500 and Rs 4,500, plus Rs 1,000 a year for cases more than ten years old. The challan amount is the one that counts.
For a change of name, FBISE publishes a sample affidavit and a sample press notice. The affidavit must be attested by a Magistrate Class-I, or by an embassy officer for overseas cases. A private candidate sends the form attested by a Class-I (gazetted) officer directly to the board, with a copy of the matric result card.
Original certificates take up to six months to arrive
Before paying for a duplicate, make sure the original is really lost. FBISE says it sends regular students' certificates to their school or college within six months of the result, and posts private candidates' certificates to the address on their admission form.
If you passed the FBISE second annual exam recently, the original may simply not have reached you yet. Ask your institution first. Private candidates who have waited more than six months can write to certificate@fbise.edu.pk, the address the board's FAQ gives for dispatch details.
You can follow a submitted application on the "Docs Tracking" page of the FBISE applications portal.
What to do after the duplicate arrives
A duplicate is a valid board document. If you need it for a job abroad or a foreign university, it goes through board verification and then IBCC attestation, the same as an original. An old attestation on the lost copy does not carry over.
The steps and the Rs 1,200 fee for IBCC attestation of matric and inter certificates apply to duplicates too. Students from Punjab boards follow a different, fully online route, set out in the BISE Lahore duplicate certificate process.

Common questions
How much is an FBISE duplicate certificate?
Rs 4,000 in Pakistan or 70 US dollars from abroad, according to the FBISE fee table. The fee is not refunded.
Can I apply for an FBISE duplicate certificate online?
Not fully. You make the challan online, but the application itself is a paper form submitted at the board office or by post. Only the duplicate mark sheet is fully online.
How do I get my duplicate FBISE mark sheet?
Apply on applications.fbise.edu.pk with your registration number and pay Rs 1,500 per result card. The board emails it after the fee is confirmed.
Do I need an FIR or newspaper notice for a lost certificate?
The FBISE certificate FAQ does not ask for one. It asks for the form, a photocopy of your result and the challan. A press notice is needed only for a change of name.
Can I collect it from the board office in person?
Yes. The service page says you can submit the certificate form at the board office in H-8/4, Islamabad, and the FAQ says the One Window Cell also issues duplicate mark sheets. The board lists its hours as 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
Where do I pay the FBISE challan?
At any HBL branch, according to the board's service page. Applicants abroad pay in US dollars through the listed banks or EFT.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 3 October 2026. We read the FBISE offline services page (fbise.edu.pk/off_line_serv.php), the fee table on the FBISE challan portal, the duplicate mark sheet page on applications.fbise.edu.pk, the duplicate mark sheet form, the HSSC correction form, the sample affidavit and press notice, and the FBISE FAQ documents on certificates and secrecy. The duplicate certificate form link returned a 404 error when we tried it. We could not find a stated processing time for a duplicate certificate on any FBISE page, so we have not given one.
