You apply for a duplicate matric or inter certificate from BISE Lahore online, at eportal.biselahore.com, under "Duplicate Certificate / Result Card". The board's published fee schedule lists Rs 3,600 for a duplicate certificate and Rs 1,300 for a duplicate result card. You pay by challan and track the case online.

A lost matric certificate usually turns up as a problem at the worst time: a job file, a visa form or a university admission desk. The fix is cheaper than most people fear. We went through the board's e-services portal and read its fee schedule on 1 October 2026, and the process has five parts.

BISE Lahore duplicate certificate fee of Rs 3,600 in the board's published fee schedule

The BISE Lahore duplicate certificate fee is Rs 3,600

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore lists Rs 3,500 plus a Rs 100 form charge for a duplicate or revised certificate, so Rs 3,600 in all. A third copy costs far more, and an urgent third copy costs more again.

The fee rises sharply each time you lose a copy. That is deliberate. The board wants people to keep the second copy safe.

DocumentFeeForm chargeTotal
Duplicate or revised certificateRs 3,500Rs 100Rs 3,600
Triplicate certificate, ordinaryRs 10,000Rs 100Rs 10,100
Triplicate certificate, urgentRs 15,000Rs 100Rs 15,100
Quadruplicate (fourth) certificateRs 20,000Rs 100Rs 20,100
Duplicate result cardRs 1,200Rs 100Rs 1,300
Detail marks certificate, ordinaryRs 700Rs 100Rs 800

One caution. The schedule file on the board's server was last changed in January 2021, and the board's own migration form from May 2026 quotes a higher fee for migration than this schedule does. So treat these figures as the board's published rates, and pay whatever the challan from the portal says. The schedule also lists no separate rate for an urgent duplicate (second copy), even though the portal offers one.

How to apply for a duplicate certificate on the BISE Lahore portal

Open eportal.biselahore.com, choose the duplicate document service, pick your document type, enter your exam details and contact details, then print the form and the fee challan. After paying, keep the tracking ID. The whole application is online.

  1. Open the e-services portal. Go to the BISE Lahore e-services portal and choose "Duplicate Certificate / Result Card". The board's Downloads page links to the same place.
  2. Pick the document type. The list includes Duplicate Certificate, Duplicate Certificate (Urgent), Duplicate Revised Certificate, Duplicate Result Card (Urgent), Triplicate and Quadruplicate certificates.
  3. Enter your exam details. Choose SSC (matric) or HSSC (inter), the year, the session and your roll number, so the portal can fetch your record.
  4. Add your contact details. The form asks for your CNIC, your father's CNIC, a mobile number and a full postal address. Write the address carefully, since it is where the document goes.
  5. Print, pay and keep the tracking ID. Print the form and the challan, pay the fee, and note the tracking ID the portal shows.
Five steps to apply for a BISE Lahore duplicate certificate online

The portal rejects some requests outright. Its own message says only pass candidates can apply for a certificate, so a candidate who has not passed cannot get one this way.

Revised and duplicate certificates are different requests

A duplicate replaces a lost or damaged certificate with the same details. A revised certificate prints corrected details, such as a changed name or date of birth. The fee is the same Rs 3,600, but a revised copy needs an approved correction first.

The portal's "reason" list for a revised copy shows what counts: a change of name, father's name or date of birth, a spelling correction, or a CNIC correction for you or your father. Each of those starts as a separate correction case. The rules and fees for corrections are set out under fixing a mistake on a Punjab board certificate.

If your certificate is torn or water damaged, apply for a duplicate rather than using it. The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) says on its attestation FAQ that it does not attest damaged certificates, and tells applicants to get a duplicate from the board.

Certificates from 2021 and 2022 can be free

If you passed matric or inter in the 2021 annual to 2022 second annual exams and never collected the original, BISE Lahore says it is issuing that certificate free. You may not need a paid duplicate at all.

The board's notice, issued under board meeting decisions of 1 June 2024 and 9 August 2024, says these Original Before Time (OBT) certificates are issued without fee. Regular students get them through an authority letter from their school or college. Private candidates can collect in person, or send a blood relative (father, mother, brother or sister) after identification.

The same notice tells people to report any board official who asks for money, by calling the Secretary's office on 042 99200153.

Tracking your BISE Lahore duplicate request

Use "Track Status" on the e-services portal. You can search by tracking ID, registration number or roll number. If you paid and nothing arrives within the stated time, the portal's "Raise Issue" page opens a complaint ticket.

The portal asks you to check the status before raising an issue, so do that first. We could not find a stated processing time for a duplicate on the board's site, so we have not given one. For anything the portal does not answer, the board's listed numbers are +92 42 99200192 to 197, and its office is at 86 Mozang Road, Lahore.

What to do after you get the duplicate

If the duplicate is for use abroad, it needs board verification and then IBCC attestation, just like an original. An attestation stamped on the lost original does not carry over to the new copy.

IBCC's FAQ is clear on this: a lost certificate that was already attested needs a duplicate from the board, a fresh board verification, and a new attestation. If the next stop is a foreign ministry stamp, the order of steps is laid out under apostille or attestation for Pakistani documents.

Punjab boards are also moving result cards to QR-verified digital result cards, which may help with checks at home. They do not replace a paper certificate for attestation.

Common questions

How much is a duplicate matric certificate from BISE Lahore?

Rs 3,600 in the board's published fee schedule: Rs 3,500 plus a Rs 100 form charge. Pay the amount shown on the challan the portal gives you.

Can I apply for a duplicate certificate online?

Yes. Apply on the BISE Lahore e-services portal at eportal.biselahore.com, then print the form and challan and pay the fee.

Can someone else apply for my duplicate certificate?

The portal asks for your CNIC and your father's CNIC, so a family member can fill it in with your details. For free 2021 and 2022 certificates, the board allows a blood relative to collect.

Do I need my old roll number?

It helps a lot. The portal fetches your record from the exam year, session and roll number. You can also track a request by registration number.

How much does a third copy cost?

Rs 10,100 for an ordinary triplicate and Rs 15,100 for urgent, in the board's schedule. A fourth copy is Rs 20,100.

Is a duplicate certificate valid for IBCC attestation?

Yes, once the board verifies it. IBCC attests duplicates through its standard process after board verification.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 1 October 2026. We went through the BISE Lahore e-services portal at eportal.biselahore.com, including the duplicate document types, the form fields, its validation messages and the tracking options. We read the board's fee structure PDF on data.biselahore.com (file last changed January 2021), its Downloads page, and its notice on free OBT certificates for 2021 and 2022. We read IBCC's attestation FAQ for the rules on lost, damaged and duplicate certificates. We could not find a stated processing time, a separate fee for an urgent second copy, or any official list of supporting papers such as an affidavit, so none is given here.
