Find a Safe City Panic Button in Lahore: 122 Locations Listed by PSCA
PSCA lists 122 panic button spots in Lahore that connect to 15 and Rescue 1122. See the areas, what to do at a button and how to file a 15 complaint online.

Short answer: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) lists 122 panic button locations in Lahore, including Liberty Chowk, Faisal Chowk, Data Darbar, Punjab University Main Gate and the Passport Office. Per PSCA, the buttons connect directly to the 15 police emergency line and to Rescue 1122.
Your phone is dead. Or it was snatched. Or there is no signal on a dark stretch of road. That is the exact case the panic button was built for, according to the PSCA's own page. We read the full list of locations so you do not have to scroll through it in a hurry.
PSCA panic buttons connect to 15 and Rescue 1122
The authority says the buttons sit along major roads and link straight to the 15 police line and Rescue 1122 teams. They are meant for places with weak or no mobile signal, and for people with no phone. You press the button and the emergency teams respond.
The PSCA page describes the use case plainly. Someone is mugged on the road, or has a damaged phone and no way to call for help. The button gives instant connection to police and emergency officials.
One honest note about the numbers. The text on the Panic Buttons page says the authority "installed 15" buttons. The list under it runs to 122 entries. The PSCA home page shows a network figure of 321 panic buttons across 41 cities. These are three different counts, and the page does not explain the gap. The 122 list is the one you can use to find a spot in Lahore.
| Number on PSCA pages | Where it appears |
|---|---|
| 15 | Text on the Panic Buttons page |
| 122 | Entries in the Lahore location list |
| 321 | Home page counter, across 41 cities |

What to do at a panic button
Press the button, stay next to it and wait for the response. The PSCA page says the button connects you with 15 and Rescue 1122. It does not publish a step by step script, so keep it simple and be ready to say where you are.
- Walk to the nearest listed location and find the button unit.
- Press the button once and stay where the camera can see you.
- When the control room answers, give your name and the location.
- Say what happened in one short sentence.
- Follow the operator's instructions and wait for the team.
We have not pressed one. The sequence above follows the authority's description, not a test. If your phone works, call 15 directly.
You can also file a 15 complaint from the website
PSCA has put the 15 emergency complaint service on its website and WhatsApp. The web form asks for name, phone number, address and a description of up to 1,000 characters. A page message says an agent will contact you soon.
This is a complaint form, not a substitute for calling in a live emergency. If someone is in danger now, call 15. For a complaint against the police themselves, use the IGP channel covered in how to complain to the Punjab Police on 1787. Women have a separate channel, described in police services in Punjab you can use without going in.
Panic buttons are not the only PSCA safety tool
PSCA also runs a QR Panic Button portal where an owner registers a vehicle and up to two authorised drivers. We saw the registration form, which asks for the vehicle number, chassis number, owner CNIC and photos. We could not see what a registered QR code does on the road.
So we do not describe how the QR button works. If you run a taxi, rickshaw or hired vehicle, ask PSCA what the QR code does before you register. Your CNIC and photos go into that form.
For a wider picture of the authority's services, see the services at a Punjab Police Khidmat Markaz. For fire, accident and medical calls, what Rescue 1122 does covers the other half of the response.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on Sunday 11 October 2026. We read the Punjab Safe Cities Authority's Panic Buttons page, its home page counters, its 15 Emergency Complaint page and the QR Panic Button registration page. We did not press a button or submit a form. Locations and counts can change.
