Gemini 4 Argon in Pakistan Comes Only With Google AI Pro, Not Free Gemini or AI Plus

Gemini 4 Argon, Google's newest AI model, is only for Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers. Free Gemini users and Google AI Plus subscribers do not get it. In Pakistan, Google AI Pro was listed at PKR 5,600 a month when we last read the Pakistan price on 28 September 2026. Google released Argon in the Gemini app on 13 October 2026, together with a new Tasks mode that keeps working after you close the app.

So the real question for most Pakistani users is not "is Argon good" but "is it worth PKR 5,600 a month to me". We read Google's Gemini 4 Argon announcement, the Gemini plans page and Google's help page on tasks on 20 October 2026. We did not buy a plan or test Argon ourselves.

Only Google AI Pro and Ultra include Gemini 4 Argon

Google's plans page marks two plans with "Includes Gemini 4 Argon": Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra. Free Gemini gives the Flash-Lite model. Google AI Plus gives the Flash model with twice the free usage, but no Argon.

The free plan moved to Flash-Lite earlier this month, which is covered in the change that left free Gemini with Flash-Lite only. Argon widens that gap. The best model now sits two plans above free.

Google AI Pro cost PKR 5,600 a month on the Pakistan price list

When we read Google One's Pakistan plan page on 28 September 2026, Google AI Pro cost PKR 5,600 a month or PKR 55,900 a year, with 5 TB of storage. Google's own plans page shows US$19.99 a month for the same plan in US dollars.

We tried to reload the Pakistan price on 20 October 2026, but Google served our connection another country's prices, so we could not confirm the rupee figure again today. Check the price in your own Google One app before you pay. Taxes may be added at checkout.

For comparison, our earlier check listed Google AI Plus at PKR 1,400 a month. That plan is cheaper, but it does not include Argon. The full storage and plan price list sits in Google One prices in Pakistan.

Argon answers more directly and handles longer jobs

Google says Argon answers with less hedging, repeats itself less and avoids clichés. For long jobs it reports its progress more often. Google also says coding is much improved. Those are Google's claims, not our test results.

In practice, the people who gain most are those who give Gemini long, multi-step work: a student building a research report, a freelancer writing code, or a small business owner turning sales notes into a spreadsheet. For a quick question or a translation, the free model is often enough.

Tasks let Gemini keep working after you close the app

Tasks is a new mode beside chat. You give Gemini a goal, and it can browse websites and use your Google apps to finish it, even when you are away. Google says tasks need a Google AI Pro or Ultra plan and a personal Google account.

Google's help page lists what you need before the Task button appears:

1. Be 18 or older.
2. Sign in with a personal Google account. Work and school accounts are not supported yet.
3. Have a Google AI Pro or Ultra subscription.
4. Keep Gemini's Keep Activity setting on.
5. Opt in to Personal Intelligence.
6. Open the Gemini mobile app, the Mac app or gemini.google.com, then tap Task above the text box.

Google says tasks work wherever Gemini apps are supported, except the European Economic Area, Nigeria, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Pakistan is not on that excluded list. We could not test whether the Task button appears on a Pakistani account.

Keep passwords and card numbers out of a Gemini task

Google tells users not to type sign-in details, payment details or other sensitive information into a task thread. If a website asks for them, take control of the browser and type them on the page yourself. Gemini can make mistakes.

That warning matters here. A task that shops or books on your behalf can share your name, contact details and files with the website it uses. Start with harmless tasks, such as summarising newsletters in Gmail, and watch what Gemini does before you trust it with anything that spends money.
