GEPCO has approved power shutdowns on 109 feeders for Tuesday 3 November 2026, across Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat and Narowal, mostly from 9 am to 1 pm or 9 am to 2 pm, with 17 feeders off from 12 noon to 4 pm. We downloaded the file from GEPCO's shutdowns page on the evening of 2 November. Your feeder name is printed on your electricity bill, so match it against the lists below.
GEPCO, the Gujranwala Electric Power Company, calls these PTW shutdowns. PTW means "permit to work": a line is switched off so linemen can work on it safely. The file gives three reasons: preventive maintenance and tree trimming, annual maintenance of grid stations, and new or rehabilitation work.

Check your own feeder before you plan the day
Your bill shows your feeder name. Search for it in GEPCO's file, or type your 14 digit reference number into PITC's load management portal, which shows the planned hours for your exact feeder.
- Take your latest GEPCO bill and note the feeder name.
- Open the GEPCO shutdowns page and download the file for 3 November 2026.
- Search the file for your feeder name.
- If it is not there, check the load shedding schedule by reference number on PITC's portal for normal load management hours.
- If power is not back after the listed time, call 118 and note the complaint number.
Charge phones and UPS batteries the night before. A shutdown at 9 am usually lands during work and school hours, and water pumps stop with it, so fill tanks early.

If the power stays off after the listed time
A planned shutdown should end at the time GEPCO lists. If it runs over, report it on 118 or by SMS to 8118, and keep the complaint number. That number is what you quote if you later escalate the overrun to NEPRA.
The full list of GEPCO complaint numbers and SDO offices helps when 118 is busy. For the rules on notice and how to escalate an unannounced cut, the steps in checking planned power shutdowns apply to GEPCO too, since all these companies follow the same NEPRA consumer service manual.
Shutdowns are being announced elsewhere as well. IESCO published its own lists in the IESCO shutdown schedule for 1 and 2 November.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the GEPCO shutdowns page on 2 November 2026 at about 22:40 PKT. It listed "PDC Approved Shutdown for 03-11-2026", uploaded 2 November, and we downloaded the five page PDF and counted every row. Feeder spellings are tidied from the file. We could not confirm whether any shutdown on this list was later cancelled or extended. GEPCO's helpline numbers 118 and 8118 are from its complaint page.
