IESCO has announced maintenance power shutdowns on Sunday 1 November and Monday 2 November 2026 across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum, mostly from 9 am to 2 pm, with some feeders off from 7 am and hill feeders until 4 pm. We read both schedules on IESCO's press release page early on 1 November. Your feeder name is printed on your electricity bill, so check it against the lists below.

IESCO, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company, says the cuts are for annual system maintenance and construction work. It has issued a fresh schedule for almost every day since 23 October 2026, so this is part of a longer maintenance drive rather than a one off.

IESCO's shutdown hours for 1 November 2026

On Sunday 1 November 2026, most listed feeders lose power from 9 am to 2 pm. Some Rawalpindi Cantt and Attock feeders start at 7 am. Bani Gala feeders return at 11 am, hill feeders at 4 pm and New GHQ at 5 pm.

IESCO shutdown of five hours from 9 am to 2 pm in six circles on 2 November 2026

How to find your feeder before the cut

Your feeder name is printed on your IESCO bill. Match that exact name against IESCO's list for the day. A sector name alone is not enough, because one sector can be fed by several feeders.

  1. Open your latest bill, or download a copy through IESCO bill check online.
  2. Note the feeder name and the subdivision printed on it.
  3. Find the day's file on IESCO's press release page, titled "Power Suspension Annual Maintenance Schedule".
  4. Search the file for your feeder name and read the hours given for that group.
  5. Charge phones and UPS batteries, and fill water tanks before the start time.
Steps to check your feeder in the IESCO shutdown schedule

Planned maintenance cuts are separate from daily load shedding. The feeder by feeder load shedding hours are explained in the IESCO load shedding schedule.

IESCO's helpline is 118 if power does not return

IESCO's helpline for these shutdowns is 118, as printed in both press releases. Call it if your power is still off well after the stated end time, or if your feeder was cut without being on the list.

IESCO says it also posts shutdown schedules on its Facebook page, IESCO Updates, and on X as IESCO Official Pk. If 118 is busy, the walk-in options are in IESCO complaint numbers and customer care centres.

Planned cuts also have limits. How many a year NEPRA allows, and the notice a company must give, are set out in the NEPRA limit on planned power cuts. If IESCO goes past that, you have grounds for a complaint.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read IESCO's press release page early on 1 November 2026 and downloaded the English files for 1 November (Press Release No 30) and 2 November (Press Release No 31), along with the list showing daily schedules back to 23 October 2026. Feeder names are copied as IESCO wrote them, with spelling tidied only where the meaning was clear. We shortened the 2 November list in the table and marked that with "and others". IESCO can change or cancel a shutdown at short notice, and we could not confirm whether any listed cut was later called off.
