Which route to use for which problem
Use 118 for anything urgent or dangerous. Use the online form or PITC's portal for bills and meters, because they create a written record. Go to the subdivision office when a fault needs a lineman and 118 has not sent one.
- Whole area dark: first check the GEPCO shutdown schedule and your feeder hours, then call 118.
- Only your house dark: call 118 for a fuse or service wire fault.
- Sparking, a fallen wire or a burnt transformer: call 118 at once and keep people away.
- Wrong bill or meter: file online with your reference number, then follow up at the subdivision office.
A wire on the ground is an emergency. The steps for reporting sparking poles and fallen wires apply in every GEPCO district.
If GEPCO does not fix the complaint
Every complaint gets a number. If it is not resolved, escalate it with that number. For billing disputes in Punjab you can also go to the Electric Inspector, and for any unresolved complaint you can go to NEPRA.
The regional numbers are in the list of Electric Inspector Punjab contact numbers, which covers the Gujranwala region. NEPRA complaints can be filed and followed online, and the NEPRA complaint status check explains the tracking number you get.
GEPCO's head office is at 565/A Model Town, G.T. Road, Gujranwala. Never pay a fee for a complaint, a meter or a reconnection to anyone's personal JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank account. PITC's complaint portal warns about exactly this and asks people to report such calls on 118.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read GEPCO's complaint page and its contact list on 2 November 2026. The complaint page shows the 118 and 8118 banner, the e-complaint form fields, the circle and division menus and the 17 complaint types. The contact page lists 114 subdivision numbers under "Rapid Response Unit". The anti scam warning is from PITC's CCMS home page. We did not call every number, so a few may have changed since GEPCO last updated its list.
