Can Pakistani Sellers List Products Free on Google Merchant Center?

Can Pakistani sellers list products free on Google Merchant Center? We read Google's country list, free listing rules and the free options that remain.

Pakistan is not on Google's list of supported target countries for Merchant Center free listings, as we read it on 7 October 2026. Pakistani sellers can still use the free options Google gives any shop: a Business Profile for local discovery, and Product markup on their own website pages.

A seller in Faisalabad hears that "Google lists your products free" and starts uploading a spreadsheet. Weeks later the products show to nobody in Pakistan. The cause is usually not the spreadsheet. It is the country list.

We opened Google's own Merchant Center help pages on 7 October 2026. Everything about countries below comes from them.

Pakistan is missing from Google's supported countries list

Google's help page on supported languages and currencies lists the countries where Shopping ads and free listings are available. Pakistan is not in that table. India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Malaysia are.

We checked the rows around it, between Oman and Peru, and the table jumps from Oman to Paraguay. We also checked Google's page on beta countries, and it names no country at all in the version we could read. A free listing needs a target country that Google supports, so shoppers in Pakistan do not see Pakistani products through Merchant Center today.

Google updates these lists. Open the supported countries page again before you spend time on a feed, because a country can be added.

Pakistani businesses are not barred from Merchant Center itself

Google's country restriction page says Merchant Center is not available to retailers in Crimea, Cuba, the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Iran, North Korea and Syria. Pakistan is not named. So the restriction does not stop a Pakistani seller from holding an account.

That does not make an account useful by itself. The product must be shown in a country on the supported list, and the landing pages and checkout must work for shoppers there. Google also expects the data language to match your landing pages.

If you sell to people abroad, such as a Pakistani exporter shipping to the UAE or the UK, that is a different case. Your buyers are in a supported country, and you must follow the rules of that country, including currency and shipping.

What a free listing needs when your buyers are in a supported country

Google says free listings can show on Search, Images, Lens, YouTube, Gemini, the Shopping tab and the products section of a Business Profile. New accounts are opted in by default. Showing is not guaranteed, because it depends on your data.

  1. Create a Merchant Center account with your business details.
  2. Add products through a file, your website or a partner platform.
  3. Give each product an id, title, link, image link, price, description and availability, all marked Required by Google.
  4. Add your return policy to your website, and in Merchant Center if you can.
  5. Set up shipping settings or add shipping costs to the product data.
  6. Fix any issue in the "Needs attention" tab on the Products page.

Google lists countries where shipping settings are mandatory, including India, Japan and the United States. Even where they are not, the page says shipping and return details help shoppers decide.

Six steps to set up Google Merchant Center free listings, from account to fixing product issues

What Pakistani sellers can do today for free

You have three practical options. None needs Merchant Center, and all are free. Each helps a different kind of shopper.

A Business Profile for local shoppers

If customers can visit your shop or you travel to them, a free Google Business Profile puts you on Maps and in Search. Google's free listings page mentions a products module on Business Profile. We could not open Google's Business Profile help page on products, so check that section inside your own profile.

Product markup on your own website

Google's Search documentation says Product structured data can make a page eligible for merchant listing experiences in Search, including the shopping knowledge panel, Google Images and product snippets. The markup can carry price, availability, shipping and returns. Pakistan is not named as an exclusion there, but Google gives no promise of display. A web developer or a store platform plugin can add it, and starting an online store in Pakistan covers which platforms suit a small seller.

Clear product pages that answer questions

Google's product data rules reward accurate prices, real photos and matching website information. The same habit helps with newer AI answers. We explain that shift in what Google AI Overviews mean for Pakistani businesses.

Warnings before you pay anyone

Some agencies sell "Google Shopping setup for Pakistan" as if it works like Daraz. Ask them one question: which target country will my products show in. If the answer is Pakistan, ask to see Google's own page that lists it.

Paid Shopping ads are a separate product and are not free. Do not confuse them with free listings. Also do not pay for "approval", since Google's help pages describe no such fee for free listings.

Common questions

Can Pakistani sellers list products free on Google Merchant Center?

A Pakistani business is not on Google's restricted list, but Pakistan is not a supported target country in the table we read. Free listings need a supported target country, so they do not reach shoppers in Pakistan.

Is Google Merchant Center free to use?

Google says products can appear in free listings at no cost. Paid Shopping ads are a different product and carry costs.

Does Google Shopping work in Pakistan?

The Shopping tab is marked on Google's list only for certain supported countries, and Pakistan is not in that table. Check the page again before planning around it.

What can I do instead of Merchant Center?

Create a free Business Profile if you have a real place or service area, and add Product structured data to your own website pages.

Can I sell to the UAE or India through free listings?

Both appear in Google's supported countries table. You must meet that country's currency, language, shipping and return requirements.

Do I need a registered company?

We did not find a company registration rule for free listings on the pages we read, except a business registration number for South Korea. Your own tax and trade rules in Pakistan still apply.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 7 October 2026 against Google's help pages: supported languages and currencies, free listings for products, Merchant Center country restrictions, beta countries and the product data specification, plus Google's merchant listing structured data guide. We did not create a Merchant Center account. Google can change its country lists at any time.
