GPT-6 Now Free for ChatGPT Users in Pakistan, With Intelligent UI
OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 to free ChatGPT users from 8 October 2026. Free gets GPT-6 Luna and Intelligent UI, Plus gets Sol. What changes and how to get it.

GPT-6 is now rolling out to free ChatGPT users in Pakistan. OpenAI announced on 7 October 2026 that GPT-6 with a new feature called Intelligent UI reaches paid plans first, then Free and Go accounts from the next day, 8 October. Free users get the GPT-6 Luna model, at no cost.
Until this week, a free account in Pakistan could only reach GPT-6 Luna inside the ChatGPT desktop app. Everyday chats on the phone and on the website still ran on the older GPT-5.6 Luna. That is the part that changes now.
We read OpenAI's announcement and its ChatGPT release notes on 9 October 2026. Here is what free users get, what paid users get, what Intelligent UI does, and what to do if you do not see it yet.
Free ChatGPT users in Pakistan get GPT-6 Luna in the Chat tab
Free and Go users get GPT-6 Luna in normal chats from 8 October 2026, as the rollout reaches them. Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users get GPT-6 Sol from 7 October. There is no new fee, and Pakistan is on OpenAI's list of supported countries.
OpenAI's own words in the release notes are short: "The rollout starts globally today for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise in the Chat tab, and expands to Free and Go starting tomorrow." The note is dated 7 October 2026.
Globally means Pakistan is included. But a rollout is not a switch. Some accounts get it on the first day and some a few days later, so a friend may see it before you do.

| ChatGPT plan | Model in Chat from October 2026 | Rollout start |
|---|---|---|
| Free | GPT-6 Luna | 8 October 2026 |
| Go | GPT-6 Luna | 8 October 2026 |
| Plus | GPT-6 Sol | 7 October 2026 |
| Pro | GPT-6 Sol, with GPT-6 Astra for the Pro reasoning option | 7 October 2026 |
| Business and Enterprise | GPT-6 Sol, if the admin allows it | 7 October 2026 |
Which plan you are on, and what each costs from Pakistan, is set out in the ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude free plans comparison. The earlier GPT-6 release, when only paid users got it in chat, is covered in GPT-6 Sol, Luna and Astra by plan.
Intelligent UI turns answers into tables, charts and small tools
Intelligent UI lets ChatGPT answer with visuals and buttons, not just text. It can show a comparison side by side, draw a chart, add a form, or build a small tool such as a calculator or bill splitter inside the chat. It still gives plain text when that is best.
OpenAI says GPT-6 picks the format based on the question. A comparison might come back side by side. An explanation might come as a diagram you can change. A simple question still gets a simple answer.
For a student or a small shop owner in Pakistan, the useful part is the tools. OpenAI's own examples are a savings calculator, a bill splitter for a dinner with friends, and a game you can play in the chat. You do not need to know any code. You just ask.
- Comparisons: two phones, two plans or two options set out side by side.
- Explanations: a diagram where you change one input and see what happens, useful for maths and science.
- Plans: a schedule or route that shows how the steps fit together.
- Quick tools: a calculator, a splitter or a small game, made on request.
OpenAI also says GPT-6 can start answering while it is still thinking, then add to the answer. For questions that need a web search, it says GPT-6 Instant starts answering 44% sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant. That figure is from OpenAI's own internal test, not an outside one.
Plus users get the stronger GPT-6 Sol model
The main difference between free and paid is the model. Free and Go get GPT-6 Luna, the faster and lighter one. Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise get GPT-6 Sol. OpenAI says both are tuned for everyday conversation.
Intelligent UI works across the reasoning levels, from Instant up to Extra High, according to the release notes. One exception: the Pro reasoning option still runs on GPT-6 Astra, OpenAI's top model, and does not support Intelligent UI.
Two more points that are easy to miss. This update is only for the Chat experience. The models behind ChatGPT Work and Codex are not changing with it. And Enterprise accounts get it only if the workplace admin turns it on.
Do you need to pay now? For most people, no. If you use ChatGPT for homework help, letters, CVs or quick questions, Luna with Intelligent UI is a real upgrade at no cost. Sol matters more for long, hard work, and that is where the US$20 Plus plan earns its price.
How to get GPT-6 on a free account in Pakistan
You do not need to do anything special. Update the ChatGPT app, sign in, and start a new chat. When the rollout reaches your account, answers in the Chat tab will come from GPT-6 Luna, and some will arrive with charts, buttons or tools.
- Update the ChatGPT app from Google Play or the App Store, or open chatgpt.com in a browser.
- Sign in with your account, so the rollout can reach it.
- Start a new chat in the Chat tab, not in Work or Codex.
- Ask for something visual, such as "compare these two phones in a table" or "make me a bill splitter for 5 people".
- If you still get the old answers, wait a day or two and try again. The rollout is gradual.

One honest warning. A tool that ChatGPT builds in a chat is only as right as the numbers you give it. Check any sum that involves fees, tax or a loan against the bank's or the authority's own figures before you rely on it.
If you write in Urdu, the new model does not change which assistant handles Urdu best on day one. Our Urdu test of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok is still the place to compare that.
What OpenAI has not said about Pakistan
OpenAI has not given a country-by-country date. It said the rollout is global, so Pakistan is covered, but it did not say how long the full rollout to every free account will take.
It also did not publish new message limits for Free users on GPT-6 Luna in this announcement. Free plans already have limits on files, images and tools. If you hit a limit, ChatGPT will tell you in the chat.
Separately, OpenAI said on 7 October that it is adding new study tools for teen accounts. Flashcards and quizzes were already open to all plans before that.

What is Intelligent UI in ChatGPT?
It is a GPT-6 feature that lets ChatGPT answer with tables, charts, buttons, forms and small tools inside the chat, instead of only text. It chooses the format based on your question.
What is the difference between GPT-6 Luna and GPT-6 Sol?
Luna is the faster, lighter model for Free and Go. Sol is the stronger model for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise. OpenAI says both are tuned for everyday chat.
Why don't I see GPT-6 on my free account yet?
The rollout is gradual. Update the app, sign in, open a new chat in the Chat tab and try again over the next few days.

No. OpenAI says the models powering Work and Codex are not changing with this release. It applies to the Chat experience only.
Do I need ChatGPT Plus to use Intelligent UI?
No. OpenAI says GPT-6 with Intelligent UI is rolling out to Free and Go as well as paid plans. Paid plans get the stronger Sol model.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We checked on 9 October 2026. The plan-by-plan rollout, the start dates and the Work and Codex exception are from OpenAI's ChatGPT release notes, entry dated 7 October 2026. The description of Intelligent UI, the examples and the 44% faster start for search questions are from OpenAI's announcement, GPT-6 and Intelligent UI for everyone. We did not test GPT-6 on a free Pakistani account for this article, and OpenAI did not publish Free-plan message limits for GPT-6 Luna.
