Collection of the second Hajj 2027 instalment under Pakistan's government scheme begins on Monday 5 October 2026, and it must be paid by 20 October. If it is not paid by then, your Hajj application will be cancelled. Upload your medical fitness certificate first, or the app will not let you pay.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony gave the dates on 2 October 2026 through its spokesperson, Muhammad Umar Butt. Radio Pakistan, the state broadcaster, carried the announcement. Payment is through the Pak Hajj app or the Hajj digital portal only.

We checked the ministry's own website at about 11:45 pm on 2 October. It had not yet posted a written notice on the second instalment. Its newest Hajj notice, dated the same day, is about a new group merging option, which we cover below.

Hajj 2027 second instalment dates for the government scheme

The second instalment opens on Monday 5 October 2026 and closes on Tuesday 20 October 2026. That gives intending pilgrims 16 days. The ministry says an application whose dues are not deposited by the deadline will be cancelled.

The earlier schedule from August said the second instalment would come in the first week of October. The start has moved to the second week, but the window is fixed now. Do not leave it to the last day.

The medical fitness certificate comes before the payment

Every intending pilgrim must upload a Hajj medical fitness certificate on the Pak Hajj app or the portal before paying the second instalment. The ministry says Saudi instructions make the certificate compulsory. Without it, your payment step will not move forward.

The ministry's notice of 23 September explains who signs the form. If you live in Pakistan, fill in the medical form and have it verified by a doctor registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). You can check a doctor's PMDC registration in a couple of minutes before you visit.

Overseas Pakistanis fill in the same form, have it verified by a doctor where they live, and upload it under the overseas category on the Hajj management system. The app added this medical form upload in late September, along with other Pak Hajj app features such as package change and cancellation.

How to pay the second instalment

Pay only through the Pak Hajj app or the Hajj digital portal, hajj.mora.gov.pk. The August notice set the methods: a 1Link PSID from any bank account, a debit or credit card, or a digital challan paid at an HBL branch.

  1. Log in to the Pak Hajj app or hajj.mora.gov.pk with your email, mobile number or CNIC.
  2. Upload the doctor-verified medical fitness certificate if you have not already.
  3. Open the dues section and generate the payment for the second instalment.
  4. Pay by PSID in your bank app, by card, or with the digital challan at HBL.
  5. Save the receipt and check that the app shows the payment against your application.

The same steps worked for the first instalment, and the Hajj 2027 first instalment walkthrough shows each screen. The ministry has warned since August that it is not responsible for money paid any other way.

Five steps to pay the Hajj 2027 second instalment on the Pak Hajj app

How much the second instalment is likely to be

The 2 October announcement did not state the amount. The first instalment was half the package price. If the second instalment is the remaining half, it would be Rs 6 lakh for the long package and Rs 6.5 lakh for the short package. Check the exact figure in the app.

That figure is our arithmetic, not a ministry number. The ministry priced the long package, of about 38 to 42 days, at Rs 12 lakh and the short package, of about 20 to 25 days, at Rs 13 lakh. Two-bed and three-bed room upgrades cost extra, and the ministry has not said how those are split. The Hajj 2027 package prices are set out in full from the August announcement.

Families can now merge into one group

A notice dated 2 October lets successful applicants who registered in separate groups merge into one. Merged groups get the same flight, the same tent in Mina and Arafat, and the same building in Makkah and Madinah.

The ministry sets three conditions. Everyone must have the same package length, long or short. Everyone must have the same point of departure. And everyone must follow the same fiqh and be in the same Hajj scheme.

Group merging is on the Hajj portal now, and the ministry says it will come to the Pak Hajj app in stages. After merging, choose your room options carefully. Members who are mahram to each other under Islamic law can choose a family room. Women and men who are not mahram get shared rooms. Separate two-bed and three-bed rooms cost extra. If you plan to merge, do it before you pay, so the room choice and the amount match.
