Pak Hajj App Now Lets Hajj 2027 Pilgrims Change Package, Room and Cancel for a Refund
The Pak Hajj app now handles package and room changes, the medical form, hardship quota and cancellation with IBAN refunds. What each Hajj 2027 feature does.
Hajj 2027 applicants can now change their package, pick a room type, upload their medical certificate and cancel for a refund from the Pak Hajj app, without visiting an office. The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced the new features on Sunday 27 September 2026, according to Radio Pakistan, after posting separate notices for each one on its own website between 18 and 23 September.
We read those ministry notices, which are published as Urdu images, and set out below exactly what each one says. The short version: most Hajj paperwork has moved into the app and the Hajj Management Portal, both built by the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
Five new things the Pak Hajj app can do
The Pak Hajj app now lets pilgrims switch between the long and short package, choose their room type, upload a verified medical form, apply under the hardship quota, and cancel an application with the refund paid straight to their bank account.

The package and room changes are the newest. We did not find a separate ministry notice for those two, so they rest on the ministry's statement as carried by Radio Pakistan. Switching changes what you pay, because the long and short packages are priced differently.
Cancelling gets your money back by IBAN, but cannot be undone
Government and private scheme applicants who have to withdraw can cancel from home through the Pak Hajj app or the Hajj Management Portal. The refund goes directly to the bank account behind the IBAN you gave. A cancelled application cannot be restored.
That last line is in the ministry's own notice, with an exclamation mark. It tells applicants to think carefully before pressing cancel. We would add one practical step: check that the IBAN on your application is correct before you cancel, because that is where the money goes.
The notice says cancellation must be done only through the app or the portal. It does not say how long the refund takes, or whether any amount is deducted. The Hajj Policy 2027 to 2030 sets out the wider rules on deposits and the waiting list.
The medical certificate is now uploaded in the app
Pilgrims living in Pakistan must fill in the medical form, get it verified by a doctor registered with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), and upload it to the Hajj Management System. A medical fitness certificate is compulsory under Saudi instructions, the ministry says.
Pakistanis living abroad follow a slightly different route. They get the form verified by a doctor where they live and upload it under the overseas category.
- Open the Pak Hajj app or the Hajj Management Portal and download the medical form.
- Print it and take it to a PMDC-registered doctor, or a local doctor if you live abroad.
- Have the doctor complete and verify it.
- Upload the verified form back to the app or portal.
- Keep the original and a photo of it until you travel.
The hardship quota covers a mahram or a helper
Successful applicants can use the app to apply under the hardship quota for two reasons: to add a mahram, the male relative a woman travels with, or, for disabled or elderly pilgrims, to add one helper. Final approval depends on how many quota places are available.
The applicant selects the family member from home through the app or portal, the ministry notice of 22 September says. It gives no number of hardship places, so approval is not guaranteed.
Private scheme bookings go only through the app and portal
Private Hajj packages must be chosen and paid for only through the Pak Hajj app and portal. The ministry warns against paying cash to any person, agent or company, and says it will not be responsible for any loss if you do.
So far 26,000 private scheme applications have been completed, with 45,000 places available, according to Radio Pakistan's report of the ministry statement.
