Hajj 2027 First Instalment: Pay Half the Package Through the Pak Hajj App
Hajj 2027 first instalment is half the package: Rs 6 lakh long, Rs 6.5 lakh short. No balloting and no fixed deadline, as seats can run out. Pay by PSID or HBL.

The first instalment for Hajj 2027 under Pakistan's government scheme is half the package price: Rs 6 lakh for the long package and Rs 6.5 lakh for the short one. The Ministry of Religious Affairs began collecting it on 18 August 2026. You pay only through the Pak Hajj app or hajj.mora.gov.pk.
One thing first. There is no balloting for Hajj 2027. The ministry is selecting pilgrims on a first come, first served basis, so "successful in the balloting" does not apply this year. What decides your seat is paying while seats remain.
The Hajj 2027 first instalment is half of your package
The ministry's notice of 16 August 2026 sets the first instalment at 50 per cent of the package you choose. For the long package of Rs 12 lakh that is Rs 6 lakh. For the short package of Rs 13 lakh it is Rs 6.5 lakh, by our arithmetic.
We read the notice, which is in Urdu, on the ministry's Latest News page. The long package runs about 38 to 42 days and the short package about 20 to 25 days. Collection of the first instalment started on 18 August 2026.
| Item | Price set by the ministry | First instalment (50 per cent) |
|---|---|---|
| Long package, about 38 to 42 days | Rs 12 lakh | Rs 6 lakh |
| Short package, about 20 to 25 days | Rs 13 lakh | Rs 6.5 lakh |
| Two-bed room, Makkah only | Rs 2 lakh 10 thousand per person | Ask in the app |
| Three-bed room, Makkah only | Rs 70 thousand per person | Ask in the app |
The notice does not say whether a room upgrade is split across the instalments or paid at once. Check the amount the app shows against your choice before you pay. The figure in your own PSID is the one that counts.

There is no fixed deadline, but seats can run out
The ministry has not set a last date for the first instalment. Instead, it stops collecting once the seats are full. There are 30,000 seats in the short package and 77,526 in the long package, so a late payer can lose a seat without any warning.
This is the part people miss. A first come, first served scheme has no closing date to watch. The seats fill, and collection stops. If you have decided to go, pay as soon as you can.
The Hajj Policy 2027-2030 says applicants not selected because the quota ran out go to a waiting list, with preference in later years. That preference depends on the deposit the policy requires, so check your Hajj 2027 application status if you were not selected.

How to pay the Hajj 2027 first instalment
Log in to the Pak Hajj app or hajj.mora.gov.pk, choose your package, and generate a payment slip. You can pay through a 1Link PSID from any bank account, with a debit or credit card, or with a digital challan deposited at an HBL branch.
A PSID is a payment slip ID, a number your bank app uses to pay a government bill. HBL is the ministry's authorised banking partner for Hajj 2027. Follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Pak Hajj app or hajj.mora.gov.pk with your email, mobile number or CNIC.
- Check your package, long or short, and your room choice before you pay.
- Generate the PSID or the digital bank challan for the amount shown.
- Pay the PSID in any bank app under 1Link bill payments, or pay by card, or print the challan and deposit it at your nearest HBL branch.
- Save the receipt and check the payment shows against your application in the app.
If you have more than one Hajj app on your phone, make sure the Pak Hajj app you pay through is the official one made by NITB, the National Information Technology Board.

Never pay a Hajj instalment to an agent in cash
The ministry says it is not responsible for any payment made outside the Pak Hajj app or the Hajj portal. Do not hand cash or a bank transfer to an agent, a relative or a company for a government scheme instalment.
The rule is on the 16 August notice and repeated in later alerts. Private scheme pilgrims also pay only through the app, after choosing a package from approved companies. A person who offers to "pay for you" and asks for money is a risk, even if you know them.
Use the ministry helplines if anything looks wrong: 051-9216980, 051-9216981, 051-9216982 and 051-9205696.

Second instalment, cancellation and passport rules
The ministry's notice puts the second instalment in the first week of October 2026. As of 1 October, it had not published a separate notice with the amount or a last date. Watch the app and the ministry's Latest News page this week.
The Hajj 2027 package prices are the base for both payments. With half paid first, the second payment should cover the rest, but take the figure from the app, not from an estimate.
If you must cancel, do it in the Pak Hajj app or the Hajj Management Portal. The ministry's notice of 18 September 2026 says the refund goes straight to the IBAN you gave. A cancelled application cannot be restored, so be sure before you press cancel.
Your Pakistani passport must be valid until 16 November 2027. Registration on the Pak Hajj app or portal is compulsory for the second stage.
