Honda Airbag Recall in Pakistan: Free Replacement for Civic Reborn 2006 to 2012, CR-V and Accord
Honda Atlas is recalling SRS airbags on the Civic Reborn 2006 to 2012, CR-V 2008 to 2011 and Accord 2004 to 2012 for free replacement. See how to book it.

Short answer: Honda Atlas is running an SRS airbag recall in Pakistan for the Honda Civic Oriel (Reborn) 2006 to 2012, the Honda CR-V 2008 to 2011 and the Honda Accord 2004 to 2012. Owners can take the car to the nearest Honda 3S or 2S dealership for a free replacement. Honda's notice says terms and conditions apply and the free replacement is for the first time only.
We read the recall notice on Honda Atlas Cars' own website on 20 October 2026. It sits in the banner on the home page, headed "SRS Airbag Recall" with the line "Your safety is our top priority". SRS stands for Supplemental Restraint System, which is Honda's name for the airbags.
If you own a Civic Reborn, CR-V or Accord from these years, or are about to buy one, this is the most useful thing to check this week. An airbag fault is not something you notice until the moment it matters.
Three Honda models from 2004 to 2012 are covered
The Honda airbag recall covers three models and year ranges named on Honda's banner. The Civic Oriel, known as the Reborn, from 2006 to 2012. The CR-V from 2008 to 2011. The Accord from 2004 to 2012. No other model appears on the notice.

| Model on Honda's notice | Years covered | What Honda offers |
|---|---|---|
| Honda Civic Oriel (Reborn) | 2006 to 2012 | Free replacement at a 3S or 2S dealer |
| Honda CR-V | 2008 to 2011 | Free replacement at a 3S or 2S dealer |
| Honda Accord | 2004 to 2012 | Free replacement at a 3S or 2S dealer |
The notice does not say whether the years are model years or registration years. In Pakistan those can differ by a year, so if your car sits on the edge of a range, ask the dealer to check the chassis number rather than going by the registration book.
The replacement is free at a Honda 3S or 2S dealership
Honda's notice tells owners to "visit the nearest Honda 3S or 2S dealership for free replacement". In the trade, a 3S dealer handles sales, service and spare parts, and a 2S dealer handles service and spare parts. Either kind can do the work, according to the notice.
Two lines of small print matter. "Terms and conditions apply", and the offer is "applicable to first-time free replacement only". So if your car already had its airbag part replaced under an earlier campaign, the free offer may not apply again. Honda does not publish the terms on the page we read.
- Find your model and year on the list above, and note your chassis number from the registration book.
- Find the nearest Honda 3S or 2S dealer on Honda's dealer network page.
- Call the dealer, give the chassis number and ask whether your car is covered and has had a replacement before.
- Book a slot, and ask how long the car will need to stay at the workshop.
- After the work, keep the job card that shows the replacement was done.
If the dealer cannot answer, call Honda Atlas customer service on the UAN 021-111-430-111, from 9 am to 6 pm, or email info@honda.com.pk. Both are on Honda's contact page.
Check a used Civic Reborn for the recall before you buy
A Reborn in Pakistan today is at least 14 years old. Nobody can tell from the outside whether its airbags were replaced. Make the recall part of the inspection, and ask the seller for any dealer job card showing the work.

If there is no record, the simplest step is to take the car to a Honda dealer with the seller before paying, give the chassis number and ask. Match that chassis number to the registration through online vehicle verification in your province too. The age arithmetic is ours: a 2012 car is 14 years old in 2026, and a 2004 Accord is 22.
Treat it as one more item when inspecting a used car before buying, alongside the engine, body and papers. An airbag warning light that stays on after start-up is a reason to walk away until a dealer has looked at it.
Imported Accords and CR-Vs may need a separate check
Some Accords and CR-Vs on Pakistani roads were imported used rather than sold by Honda Atlas dealers. Honda's notice does not say whether imported units qualify. Ask the dealer directly, with the chassis number, before assuming either way.
This matters for the price too. A free replacement at a dealer is worth far more than a cheap fix at a market workshop, where you cannot be sure a genuine part is fitted. We would not let anyone but an authorised dealer touch an airbag.
If the car is insured, keep the job card with your car insurance papers, so the work is on record if you ever claim.
Honda gives no deadline and no reason on the notice
Honda's banner names no end date for the offer and gives no reason for the recall. It does not name the part maker or describe the fault. So we will not guess at either. What it does say is enough to act on: the models, the years and where to go.
Because there is no published deadline, sooner is better. Recall offers can end, and the "first time only" line suggests Honda is tracking which cars have been done.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the recall banner on the Honda Atlas Cars home page on 20 October 2026. The text is in the banner image, which we downloaded and read: "SRS Airbag Recall", "Your safety is our top priority", the three models and year ranges, "Visit the nearest Honda 3S or 2S dealership for free replacement", "Terms and conditions apply" and "Applicable to first-time free replacement only". The banner links to Honda's contact page, which lists the UAN 021-111-430-111 (9 am to 6 pm), info@honda.com.pk and the head office at Asia House, Gulberg III, Lahore. We could not find a separate recall page, the full terms, the date the campaign began or an end date, and we did not call a dealer. The meaning of 3S and 2S is the usual trade meaning, not taken from Honda's page.
