An Italy visit visa from Pakistan cost PKR 29,240 (€90) for an adult in the July to September 2026 quarter, paid at the BLS-Intiana visa centre where you apply. In the Italian Embassy's area you can now apply only in Islamabad or Lahore, because the Multan and Faisalabad centres closed for good on 6 September 2026.

The fee is the easy part. The Italian Embassy in Islamabad has its own rule that catches many applicants: every document issued in Pakistan must carry an apostille, including your family certificate from NADRA. We read the embassy's visa pages, its September notice and its tourism checklist on 24 October 2026. Here is what each costs, where to go, and what goes in the file.

The Italy Schengen visa fee changes every three months

The Italian Embassy says consular fees change every quarter, because the rupee amount follows the euro. For July to September 2026 a short-stay visa was PKR 29,240, or €90. A child aged 6 to 12 paid PKR 14,620. You pay at the BLS centre on the day.

VisaEuro feeApril to June 2026July to September 2026
Short-stay (Schengen) visa€90PKR 29,320PKR 29,240
Short-stay visa, child aged 6 to 12€45PKR 14,600PKR 14,620
Long-stay (national) visa€116PKR 37,790PKR 37,690
National study visa (D)€50PKR 16,290PKR 16,250

On 24 October 2026 the embassy's fee page still showed only those two quarters. It had not yet posted the October to December 2026 figures. Expect the new amount to sit close to PKR 29,000, since the euro fee itself stays at €90, but confirm it at the centre before you pay. The BLS service charge is separate and is not listed on the embassy's page.

Multan and Faisalabad closed, so apply in Islamabad or Lahore

The embassy's notice of 4 September 2026 says the Multan and Faisalabad Italy visa centres stopped work permanently on 6 September 2026. Appointments and waitlist sign-ups in the embassy's area now open only for the Islamabad and Lahore centres.

One conflict to know about. The embassy's "where to apply" page, last updated on 16 June 2026, still lists Multan and Faisalabad as centres. The later notice of 4 September closes them. The notice is newer and specific, so treat those two centres as shut.

You may apply only at the centre that covers the area of your permanent residence. If you live in the Karachi consulate's area, the embassy sends you to the consulate's own website for its rules. For questions, BLS lists a webform on its Italy visa site, the email info@intianaitalyvisa.com and a call centre on +92 51 849 0870, open 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday.

Every Pakistani document needs an apostille for the Italian Embassy

The embassy's tourism checklist says documents issued by Pakistani authorities must bear an apostille. Translations must be certified by a notary whose signature is apostilled too. Documents are valid for six months from the date they were issued.

This is stricter than many other Schengen embassies, and it costs time. An apostille is a certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that confirms a document is genuine. The ministry now wants online registration first, and the steps for a MOFA apostille after online registration take a few days. The general rules for apostille and attestation in Pakistan explain which papers qualify.

The six month rule matters as well. A Family Registration Certificate you got last year will not do. Get a fresh one, then apostille it, then book.

Italy visit visa documents for tourism or a family visit

The embassy's checklist for a tourist or family and friends visit follows the EU's list for Pakistan. It asks for proof of residence, travel, lodging, family ties and money, plus extra papers that depend on your job. Fixed deposit accounts are not accepted as proof of funds.

  1. Schengen visa application form, filled and signed.
  2. One recent ICAO-compliant photograph.
  3. Proof of residence: a residence certificate and a copy of your CNIC.
  4. Passport valid at least three months after the visa ends, with one photocopy, plus copies of old visas and stamped pages.
  5. Return flight reservation, and bookings for travel between Schengen countries if you visit more than one.
  6. Hotel booking for the whole stay, or a private accommodation or guarantee declaration if you stay with family or friends.
  7. Family Registration Certificate in English from NADRA, with an apostille.
  8. Travel health insurance with cover of at least 30,000 (the Schengen minimum is set in euros) for hospital care and repatriation, valid across Schengen.
  9. Bank statements for six months, signed and stamped by the bank.
  10. National Tax Number certificate and FBR acknowledgement of tax returns for the last two years.

Employees add income tax returns for three years, salary slips for three months, the employment contract and a leave letter that states dates, position, salary and length of service. Business owners add company registration, a property or partnership deed and a chamber of commerce registration. Government employees need a departmental NOC for the trip. Retired people add six months of pension statements.

Minors must apply with one or both parents or a legal guardian. A form signed only by the child is rejected.

Italy visa application centres in Pakistan after the Multan and Faisalabad closure

How to apply for an Italy visit visa from Pakistan

Book through BLS-Intiana for the centre that covers your home address, get your Pakistani papers apostilled, assemble the file in the checklist order, then attend and pay. The embassy supervises BLS, but BLS runs appointments and collects applications.

Steps to apply for an Italy visit visa from Pakistan through BLS Intiana

If Italy is one stop on a longer trip, apply to the country where you spend the most days. The general Schengen visa rules from Pakistan explain how that works, and the neighbouring Spain visa from Pakistan uses a similar centre system. Planning to work rather than visit? That is a separate route, the Italy work visa with its quota and nulla osta.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the Italian Embassy in Islamabad's visa cost and payment page, its "where to apply" page, its notice of 4 September 2026, the tourism and family visit checklist and the EU list of supporting documents for Pakistan on 24 October 2026. We could not read the scanned fee table PDFs, the BLS service charge, or the October to December 2026 rupee fee, and the Karachi consulate's own rules were outside this check.
