JS Bank Debit Card Activation: 4 Ways for the New Visa Card, and Daily Limits for Every Variant
JS Bank debit cards are moving to Visa. Activate yours by JS Bot, app, internet banking or ATM, and see the daily limits for Gold, Platinum and Signature.
JS Bank is replacing its Mastercard debit cards with Visa cards, and you can activate the new JS Visa Debit Card through JS Bot, the JS Mobile App, JS Internet Banking or a JS Bank ATM. The new card is posted to your registered address, and JS Bank says to keep using your old Mastercard until it arrives. Below are the four activation routes, the daily ATM and shopping limits for every card, the fees we could confirm, and what to do if the card does not arrive.

JS Bank debit cards are moving from Mastercard to Visa
JS Bank says your debit card is moving to Visa. The new JS Visa Debit Card will be delivered to your registered address. Until it reaches you, the bank says to keep using your existing JS Mastercard Debit Card as usual.
There is nothing to apply for if you already hold a JS debit card. The practical risk is the address. If you have moved since opening the account, the card goes to the old one. Call JS Bank and update your address before the card is sent, or ask where it was posted.
The new card can be activated in four ways
JS Bank lists four ways to activate the JS Visa Debit Card: JS Bot, the JS Mobile App, JS Internet Banking and any JS Bank ATM. Pick whichever you already use. The app or internet banking avoids a trip if you are already registered.

JS Bank's page names the four channels but does not print the steps for each. The outline below is general. Follow what the app or ATM shows on screen.
- Sign the back of the new card when it arrives.
- Open the JS Mobile App or Internet Banking, or go to a JS Bank ATM.
- Find card activation and select the new Visa card.
- Verify yourself and set a 4-digit PIN.
- Make a small ATM withdrawal or purchase to confirm it works.
Under State Bank rules, the annual fee on a debit card should start only after you activate it, as explained in when a debit card fee can start.
Visa Gold allows Rs 300,000 a day in cash, Platinum and Signature Rs 1 million
JS Bank's limits sheet gives each card a daily ATM and shopping limit. On Visa, Gold allows Rs 300,000 a day at ATMs and Rs 500,000 at shops. Platinum and Signature allow Rs 1,000,000 a day for both. Every card allows 10 transactions a day.

The old Mastercard cards follow a similar sheet. Gold matches Visa Gold. Titanium allows Rs 400,000 a day at ATMs and Rs 600,000 at shops. Platinum and World allow Rs 1,000,000 for both. There is no Visa Titanium on the sheet, so ask JS Bank which Visa card replaces a Titanium.

Cash is free at JS Bank ATMs and Rs 35 elsewhere
JS Bank's Schedule of Charges for July to December 2026 says ATM cash withdrawals are free at JS Bank ATMs. At another bank's ATM, it lists Rs 35 a withdrawal, unless your account's features waive it.
The schedule also lists annual and replacement fees for each card, but the PDF's layout makes the rows hard to match to the right card, so we have not printed them here. Ask the branch for your card's annual fee before it is charged. The Visa card works abroad at ATMs and shops that accept Visa, under the bank's rules and limits. If you do not plan to travel, keep international use switched off, as set out in turning off online and international payments.
When the card does not arrive or is lost
Call JS Bank's 24-hour line on 021 111 654 321 or 051 111 654 321. For digital and branchless banking, the bank lists 021 111 444 000. From abroad, it lists +92 21 327 99009. Report a lost card at once.
JS Bank's debit card FAQ says a forgotten PIN can be reset at selected JS Bank ATMs or at a branch, with identity checks. The bank also publishes a dispute form for wrong transactions on its Visa card page. Never share your card number, PIN or OTP with a caller, even one who says the call is about the Visa switch.
