The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) mayor's office number is 021-99215125, and the KMC head office on M.A. Jinnah Road answers on +92 21 992 1511-7, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. KMC's own contact diary also lists direct lines for 30-plus departments, from municipal utility charges and anti-encroachment to parks, parking and the city's KMC hospitals. The full list is below, with the right route for a complaint, which is usually not a phone call at all.

We read KMC's contact diary and its head office details on kmc.gos.pk on 25 October 2026. We have left out officers' names, because posts change hands often. The designation and the number are what you need.

The KMC head office is on M.A. Jinnah Road and opens on weekdays

KMC's head office is on the first floor of its building on M.A. Jinnah Road, Karachi. KMC gives the opening hours as Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, the phone as +92 21 992 1511-7, and the email as mayor@kmc.gos.pk.

The phone number appears on KMC's site exactly in that form, as a range. In practice that means the lines run from 99215111 to 99215117 with the Karachi code 021, but that reading is ours, so try the direct department lines below first if the main line rings out.

KMC lists direct numbers for 30-plus departments

KMC's contact diary gives an office line for each senior post. The table below keeps the ones Karachi residents ask about most: the mayor's office, utility charges, land, estates, parks, parking, encroachment, health and the city warden service.

One entry looks short. KMC prints the Enterprises and Investment Promotion line as 0219921504, which is a digit shorter than the others, so we have left it out of the table rather than pass on a number that may not connect.

MUCT questions go to the Municipal Utility Charges and Tax office

MUCT stands for Municipal Utility Charges and Tax, a KMC levy. KMC lists it as one of its functions and gives the Senior Director, MUCT, a direct line on 021-99232416. KMC's site does not publish MUCT rates, bills or an online check.

KMC says on its E-KMC page that all of its collection and payment services will be digitised soon, and that E-KMC will be fully working in November. The page carries no date, so we cannot say which November it means, and there was no payment form on it when we checked.

Until then, a MUCT query is best handled by phone or in person at the head office, with your property details and any bill or notice you have received.

Complaints work better through 1339 or the Speak with Mayor form

A phone call to a director's office leaves no record. For a civic complaint, use the city's 1339 complaint portal, which gives a complaint number, or KMC's Speak with Mayor form, which KMC says gets a response as soon as possible.

  1. Decide who owns the problem. Garbage pickup sits with the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, and water with the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation, not KMC.
  2. For KMC roads, parks, encroachment, parking and drains, log the complaint on the 1339 portal and keep the number.
  3. If nothing moves, send the complaint number through the Speak with Mayor form on kmc.gos.pk.
  4. Call the department line from the table above, quoting the complaint number.
  5. Write to mayor@kmc.gos.pk with photos if the issue still stands after a week.
Which office handles which Karachi civic problem: KMC, SSWMB for garbage and KW&SC for water

Garbage that has not been picked up is a board matter, and the numbers for it are in reporting uncollected garbage in Karachi to SSWMB. For a KMC complaint, the 1339 steps are laid out in logging a complaint on the 1339 portal. Water and sewerage complaints go to KW&SC instead, through its own water and sewerage complaint system.

Most called KMC office numbers: mayor, MUCT, anti-encroachment, charge parking and parks

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read the KMC contact diary, the head office details in the site footer, the KMC functions page, the E-KMC page and the Speak with Mayor form on kmc.gos.pk on 25 October 2026. We did not call the numbers. We could not confirm the head office range or the short Enterprises line, and KMC does not say when the E-KMC payment service will open.
