Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's agriculture departments have 41 posts open only to minority candidates through ETEA: 35 Agriculture Extension Field Assistants and 2 Junior Clerks (last date 30 October 2026), plus 3 Soil and Water Conservation Field Assistants and 1 Sub-Engineer (last date 25 October 2026). All are under the province's 5 per cent minority quota, for KP and merged-district domicile holders.

The Soil and Water posts close tomorrow, Sunday 25 October. The Agriculture Extension posts give you six days. Below is each post with its exact diploma, the age band, the fee route and what happens if the quota seats are not filled.

We read all three adverts and the Soil and Water corrigendum on ETEA's list of current projects on 24 October 2026.

41 minority quota posts in three ETEA projects

The Directorate General of Agriculture Extension has 35 Field Assistant posts and 2 Junior Clerk posts. The Directorate General of Soil and Water Conservation has 3 Field Assistants and 1 Sub-Engineer. Only candidates from minority communities can apply for these seats.

Field Assistant needs matric science and an agriculture diploma

An Agriculture Extension Field Assistant needs at least a second class matric with science, plus either a three-year Diploma of Agriculture Sciences or a two-year Agriculture Services Academy certificate. The Soil and Water post asks for a three-year Field Assistant diploma instead.

The Agriculture Extension advert spells out the second route. With the two-year academy certificate you also need a six-month condensed course certificate, and the department arranges that course. So a two-year certificate alone is not enough on the day you join.

  • Agriculture Extension Field Assistant: second class SSC with science, and a three-year DAS diploma from a recognised institute, or a two-year Agriculture Services Academy certificate with a six-month condensed course certificate. Age 19 to 32.
  • Soil and Water Field Assistant: second class SSC with science, and a three-year Field Assistant diploma from a recognised agriculture training institute. Age 20 to 32.

Junior Clerk and Sub-Engineer requirements

The 2 Junior Clerk seats need at least a second class FA or FSc, typing of 30 words a minute and MS Office skills, with age 18 to 30. The Sub-Engineer seat needs a second division DAE in civil engineering and age 20 to 32.

Typing is a hard number. If you are close to 30 words a minute but not there, practise every day until the test. Relevant experience in a government or semi-government office is preferred for all four jobs, though none of them requires it.

How the minority quota works in these adverts

All three adverts say that if no suitable minority candidates are found, the posts will be filled from the list of shortlisted candidates on open merit. The minority quota is then carried forward to the next vacancy. So weak response does not keep these seats empty.

That makes this a rare window. Open merit candidates cannot apply now, and the seats return to general competition only if minority applicants do not qualify. If you belong to a minority community and hold the diploma, this is the best odds you will get for a Field Assistant post this year.

  6. Keep the stamped slip and wait for ETEA's SMS to download your roll number slip.
Steps to apply for KP minority quota agriculture jobs through ETEA

Do not send documents to ETEA. The Soil and Water directorate asks candidates who pass the test to send attested documents within 15 days of the result to its office at the Agriculture Service Academy campus on Jamrud Road, Peshawar. The ETEA cycle from roll number slip to result is explained under ETEA registration and result.

Domicile and the Soil and Water date change

You need a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or merged-district domicile. If yours is pending, the KP domicile portal is the place to start, but you must be eligible by the last date.

The Soil and Water advert first printed 14 October as its last date. A later corrigendum moved the form opening to 5 October and the last date to 25 October 2026, and ETEA's list shows 25 October. If you saw the old advert and thought you had missed it, you have until tomorrow.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 24 October 2026. We read ETEA's current projects table on etea.online for codes 878, 880 and 865 and their last dates, the three adverts linked there (INF(P)5228/26, INF(P)5229/26 and INF(P)4924/26) and the Soil and Water corrigendum PDF. The 41 total is our sum. The adverts do not state the test fee or the salary, and we could not confirm them. We did not apply.
