How to Apply for a Domicile Certificate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Online: Documents and 10 Day Delivery
Apply for a KP domicile on the CFC portal. It lists 10 working days and no service charges, plus CNIC, photo and parent papers. See all four types here.

You can apply for a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile certificate online on the government's Citizens Facilitation Portal at cfc.kp.gov.pk. The portal says there are no service charges and that the Deputy Commissioner delivers the certificate within 10 working days. You upload your CNIC and a photo, then track the application with your CNIC.
One detail does not match. A document list in the same portal carries a payment value of Rs 500 on the CNIC row, even though the instructions say there is no fee. We explain that gap below. The portal's technical support line is 091-9225484.
We opened the portal on 14 October 2026 and read its service page, its instructions and its required-document list. Here is what it says, and what it leaves out.
The portal lists one service, the domicile certificate
The Citizens Facilitation Portal lists the Domicile Certificate under the DC Office. Its other departments appear only as outside links. The domicile service has four types: new, duplicate, correction, and cancellation or NOC.
A domicile certificate proves which district and province you permanently belong to. Admissions, quota jobs and some scholarships ask for it. The portal says the Deputy Commissioner of your district issues it, so the certificate is a district record even though you apply online.

A new domicile needs your CNIC, a photo and a parent's CNIC
The portal marks these as required for a new domicile: both sides of your CNIC, your own CNIC or Form-B, a passport size photo, both sides of a parent's CNIC, and a parent's CNIC or death certificate. It also lists kinship, guardian and court order files for special cases.
| Document | Status on the portal |
|---|---|
| CNIC, front and back (applicant) | Required; original; 1 attested copy |
| Domicilee CNIC or Form-B | Required |
| Passport size photograph | Required; original |
| Parent CNIC, both sides | Required |
| Parent CNIC or death certificate | Required |
| Kinship, guardian CNIC, guardianship court order | Listed as required for those cases |
| NOC from another city or province | Optional; only if you surrender that domicile |
Each upload can be a jpeg, jpg, png, gif or pdf file, with a size limit of 2 MB. The portal lets you take a photo with a phone camera. Scan flat, so every line of text can be read.
The portal says there is no service charge, but a Rs 500 value appears
The instruction page says Service Fee: No Service Charges. Yet the data behind the document list shows a payment of 500.00 on the CNIC front row for a new domicile. We cannot tell if that is a leftover entry or a real charge.
Do not pay anyone on the strength of that number. Pay only through a channel the portal itself gives you, and ask for a receipt. If a person outside the portal asks for money to "speed up" your certificate, walk away. If you are unsure, email info.cfc@kp.gov.pk or call 091-9225484 and ask in writing what the fee is.
For comparison, the neighbouring capital issues its certificate for a fixed fee, as shown in the guide on how to get an Islamabad domicile certificate. Balochistan has moved its certificate to NADRA counters, as the report on Balochistan domicile at NADRA centres explains.

Apply online in six steps and keep your application ID
Open the portal, choose Domicile Certificate, upload the documents and submit. The portal gives you an application ID. You use that ID, or your CNIC with the service name, to track the application later.
- Open cfc.kp.gov.pk and choose the Domicile Certificate service.
- Read the checklist and instructions for the type you need.
- Download the Domicile Application Form from the downloads tab and fill it in.
- Choose Apply Online and upload the required files, each under 2 MB.
- Submit and write down the application ID.
- Track the application with your service name and CNIC.
If you lose the ID, the tracking form has a Forgot Application ID link. You can also withdraw an application. The portal warns that a withdrawn application is permanently removed from processing, so withdraw only if you mean to start again.
Duplicate, correction and cancellation have their own lists
For a duplicate, the portal asks for your CNIC, a photo, and either an FIR copy if the certificate was lost or the original if it is torn or faded. Corrections and cancellations ask for the CNIC set and the Form-B or parent papers.
For a correction, upload the CNIC set, the photograph, and the papers that show the right detail. A cancellation or NOC is for a person who is moving their domicile to another district or province. We did not find a separate fee or time for these types, so the general instruction of 10 working days is the only figure we can report.
Check a domicile record on the verification page
The portal has a Domicile Online Verification page. You type a CNIC, Form-B or domicile number and press Verify to see whether a record is valid. The page shows no fee.
Use it before you hand a certificate to an employer or a college. Even a certificate you hold on paper can be checked this way. For the national picture, including the Punjab portal, the guide on how to apply for a domicile certificate online in Pakistan compares the provinces. A domicile also matters for quota posts, as the note on FPSC domicile quota rules shows.
Common questions about the KP domicile certificate
How long does a KP domicile take?
The portal says the certificate will be delivered within 10 working days. That is the portal's own figure. It does not say whether the count starts at submission or at approval.
How much does a domicile cost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa?
The portal's instructions say no service charges. A Rs 500 value appears in the document data, and we could not explain it. Confirm with the support line before paying anyone.
Who issues the KP domicile?
The relevant Deputy Commissioner issues it, according to the portal. The CFC Center in Peshawar handles the portal, but the district office signs the record.
Can I apply from a phone?
Yes. The portal lets you capture a document with the phone camera, and the files can be jpeg, png or pdf up to 2 MB. There is also a CFC KP app on the App Store.
What if my application ID is lost?
Use the Forgot Application ID link on the tracking form. You can also track with the service name and your CNIC.
Where is the support office?
The CFC Center is at Roidar General Hospital, Street B1, Nishtar Abad Main G.T. Road, Peshawar. Technical support is 091-9225484, and the email is info.cfc@kp.gov.pk.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 14 October 2026 on the KP Citizens Facilitation Portal, including its domicile instructions and required-document list. We did not submit an application, so we cannot confirm real delivery times. The fee statement and the Rs 500 value conflict, and we have not resolved it. Check the portal and your Deputy Commissioner's office before you act.
