Pakistanis need a visa for Kyrgyzstan: the Kyrgyz e-visa portal's own check shows no visa-free entry for an ordinary Pakistani passport, only for service and diplomatic passports, for up to 30 days. A Pakistani who holds a residence card of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman or Bahrain gets an easier route: a simplified procedure for a tourist visa of up to one month.

We ran the "Do I need visa?" check for Pakistan on Kyrgyzstan's official e-visa information page on 28 October 2026 and read the portal's FAQ and notices. Below are the result, the Gulf residents' route, the passport and document rules that trip people up, and the steps after you land.

An ordinary Pakistani passport gets no visa-free entry to Kyrgyzstan

The portal's eligibility table for Pakistan reads "no" for visa-free entry on an ordinary passport. Service and diplomatic passports may stay up to 30 days without a visa. So a student, tourist or business traveller on a green passport must get a visa before travelling.

Passport or statusVisa-free entryEasier tourist route
Ordinary Pakistani passportNoNo, unless you hold a Gulf residence card
Pakistani service passportUp to 30 daysNot needed
Pakistani diplomatic passportUp to 30 daysNot needed
Ordinary passport plus Gulf residence cardNoTourist visa of up to 1 month, simplified

The portal decides which e-visa types a Pakistani passport can choose only inside the application, after you pick your country, document type and visa type. We did not start an application, so we cannot tell you which categories it opens for Pakistanis or their fees.

Gulf residents get a simplified tourist visa of up to one month

The same check lists a facilitated regime. It says there is a simplified procedure and the chance to get a tourist visa for up to one month for holders of a resident card of the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei, Oman, Bahrain or Saudi Arabia. That covers most of Pakistan's Gulf workers.

The portal defines a resident card as a document confirming the right to long-term residence in a country of which you are not a citizen. In practice that is your Emirates ID with residence, your Saudi iqama, or the residence permit of another Gulf state. Keep it valid for the whole trip. A Gulf worker can check iqama validity online first.

Living in Pakistan with no Gulf residence? Then the simplified route does not apply, and you go through the standard visa process the portal or a Kyrgyz mission offers.

Your passport needs 6 months beyond the visa and 2 free pages

Kyrgyzstan's passport rules are strict. The FAQ says the passport must stay valid for at least 6 months after the visa's end date, carry at least 2 free pages, and be undamaged with no unofficial marks. Documents must be in Kyrgyz or Russian, or translated.

  1. Check your passport's expiry: it must run 6 months past the last day of the visa.
  2. Scan the passport and a digital photo to attach.
  3. Get any supporting documents translated into Russian or Kyrgyz.
  4. Fill in the form in English on evisa.e-gov.kg and check every detail before paying.
  5. Verify your email within 72 hours, or the application is cancelled.
  6. Pay by card, which need not be in your name.
  7. Track it under Services, Check status, with your reference number.

Review takes 5 working days, counted from the moment every correction or document is in. The fee depends on visa category, type and period, and the FAQ does not list amounts. It is not refunded if the visa is refused, if the details are wrong, or if you never use it.

Steps for a Kyrgyzstan e-visa application from Pakistan

Do not buy the ticket before the visa is approved

The portal itself asks applicants not to buy an air ticket until they receive notice that the e-visa is approved. Combined with a non-refundable fee and no right to edit after payment, that makes a careful first application the cheapest route.

If the system returns your application, it emails you about corrections, missing documents or payment. You go back to evisa.e-gov.kg, open Services, Check status, enter the reference number, fix the fields marked in red, and submit again. The 5 day clock restarts then.

Lost the email with your reference number? Contact the support desk. The portal lists two numbers, +996703428865 and +996999312002, and also says to check spam folders first.

Register within 5 working days of arriving in Kyrgyzstan

The portal says foreign citizens must register at their place of stay within 5 working days of entry, unless their country is on an exemption list. The exemption list is not shown on the page we read, so plan to register unless your hotel or host confirms it is done.

At a Pakistani airport, the FIA checks your visa and return plans before the exit stamp. The FIA checks on a foreign visa and the papers that help avoid offloading apply to Kyrgyzstan as much as anywhere. Carry a printout of the approved e-visa, a hotel booking and a return ticket.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 28 October 2026. We read the Kyrgyz e-visa portal's home page and Get Information page at evisa.e-gov.kg, including the FAQ, and ran the page's Do I need visa? check for Pakistan on that date. The visa-free result and the Gulf residents' facilitated route are the portal's answer for Pakistan. We did not start an application, so the e-visa categories open to Pakistani passports and their fees are not verified here. Student visas through Kyrgyz universities are not covered by these pages.
