LDA City File Status Check by CNIC or File Number: Installments, Challans and Plot Details (Lahore)

To check an LDA City file, open lda.gop.pk/lda-city-status and search by CNIC or application number, or by the LDA City file number if LDA has issued you a file (it looks like LC-30-1-17-17-C-7). The result shows the name on the file, the plot area, every installment and whether each challan is paid. The LDA City office number is 042-99262273.

LDA City is a housing scheme of the Lahore Development Authority, and its files can be transferred to a new owner. If someone is offering you one, a status check is the quickest way to confirm whose name a file is in and what is still owed before any money moves. We opened the page on 31 October 2026 and read every field and note it shows.

LDA City status can be searched two ways: CNIC or file number

LDA's own note on the page says owners who hold an LDA issued file should enter the File No. Everyone else searches by CNIC or application number. Both can be typed with or without hyphens, and LDA gives 3510274951015 as a sample CNIC format.

Use the CNIC of the person the file is registered to, not the buyer's, if you are checking a file before buying it. A search on your own CNIC will only find files in your name.

What the LDA City status result shows

A result opens under File Details. It lists the One Window Cell number, the applicant's name and father's name, the CNIC or application number, the plot area, and a table of installments and challans, each marked Paid or Not Paid with a Download button.

If LDA's system cannot return data, the page says "No file status data to display", and when the service is down it shows a notice that the service is temporarily unavailable. Neither message means anything is wrong with the file.

How to check an LDA City file, step by step

The check takes about a minute. Use only lda.gop.pk, enter the file number or CNIC, then read the name and the installment table before you do anything else. Save or screenshot the result for your records.

1. Open lda.gop.pk and choose LDA City Status, or go to lda.gop.pk/lda-city-status.
2. Type the LDA City file number if you hold an LDA issued file; otherwise type the 13 digit CNIC or the application number.
3. Press the button to fetch the status and wait while the page says it is fetching file status.
4. Check the name, father's name and CNIC against the person selling or holding the file.
5. Read the installment table. Download any Not Paid challan and pay it at the bank before its due date.

Searches you make are kept under Recent entries on the page, which helps if you are comparing several files offered by different dealers.

Check these four things before you buy an LDA City file

A file is only as good as the record behind it. Before paying, confirm the seller's name on LDA's page, that no installment is unpaid, that the plot area matches the offer, and that the file is not one still waiting on a ballot or exemption.

• Name match: the Applicant Name and CNIC must be the seller's. If a dealer says the file is "in transit", ask for the transfer paperwork and check at LDA.
• Dues: every Not Paid installment becomes your problem after transfer. Agree who pays it in writing.
• Plot area: a 5 marla file sold as a 10 marla one is a common trick. Trust the LDA figure.
• Ballot: some LDA City files are allocated by draw. The September 2026 draw is listed in the LDA ballot result for Johar Town and LDA City.

When you are ready to transfer, the file moves through LDA's One Window Cell, and Punjab's tax and stamp duty rules apply as with any property. When the LDA City status page does not work

A wrong format, a file not yet on the system or a server outage are the usual causes. Retry with hyphens removed, try the other search option, and if nothing loads, call the LDA City office on 042-99262273 or visit LDA's Johar Town office with your papers.
