We read the hospital's OPD schedule, Sunday clinic, outpatient, visitor guide, emergency and contact pages on 25 October 2026.
Liaquat National Hospital books OPD appointments by phone and online
Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) takes OPD bookings on five direct lines from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday. Its online OPD schedule lists each consultant's days, times and room, with a Book Now button beside many of the sessions.
| What you need | Number or route |

| Hours for the appointment lines | 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday |
| Online booking | Book Now on the OPD schedule page |
| General number (UAN) | 021-111-456-456 |
| Information desk | 021-34412521 |
| Address | Stadium Road, Karachi 74800 |
The contact page still shows a note about Ramadan timings of 8am to 5pm for the appointment lines. The OPD schedule and outpatient pages both give 8am to 8pm, which is the routine schedule, so rely on that outside Ramadan.

The OPD schedule shows every doctor's days, times and room
The LNH OPD schedule lists consultants alphabetically, with a tab each for routine, Ramadan and Sunday clinic timings. Each entry shows the clinic, the day, the time slot and the venue, such as Gastro OPD or Orthopaedic OPD.
Many consultants hold two sessions on the same day, a morning slot and an afternoon slot. In the schedule we read, a typical anaesthesia clinic ran 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4:30pm, Monday to Saturday. Some sessions are held away from Stadium Road, for example in a room at Gulistan-e-Jauhar, so read the venue line before you set off.
- Open the OPD schedule and pick the Routine tab.
- Find your doctor by the first letter of the name, or scroll to the speciality.
- Note the day, the time slot and the venue.
- Press Book Now if it appears, or call one of the five OPD lines.
- Check the On Leave Consultants list before you travel.
The schedule has a separate "On Leave Consultants" list. A doctor on leave still appears in the main table, so this one extra click can save a wasted trip across Karachi traffic.

The Sunday clinic covers more than 20 specialities
LNH runs a Sunday clinic for working people, school children and older patients who cannot come on weekdays. Its Sunday schedule includes neurosurgery, orthopaedics, neurology, general surgery, family medicine, heart, eye, dental and urology clinics, mostly between 9am and 5pm.
The Sunday sessions we read were shorter than weekday ones, usually two or three hours. The most common slots were 12pm to 2pm and 1pm to 3pm.
| Group | Sunday clinics listed |
|---|---|
| Brain and nerves | Neurosurgery, neurology, epilepsy, children's neurology |
| Bones and surgery | Orthopaedics, general surgery, bone and soft tissue tumours |
| Heart | Sunday cardiac clinic, preventive cardiology |
| Family and general | Family medicine, health and fitness, immunology and allergy |
| Other | Eye, dental and jaw surgery, urology, infertility, breast disease, cancer screening, pain, palliative care |
Sunday doctors change more often than weekday ones. Call on Saturday to confirm, using the same OPD lines.
New patients get an MRN card at the OPD registration counter
Go straight to the OPD registration counter at the Syed Wajid Ali Complex, entered from Gate 3, or at OPD Complex 2, entered from Gate 2. New patients receive a Medical Record Number (MRN) and a card. Returning patients give their MRN.
The hospital's visitor guide says Stadium Road has three gates and patients should use Gate 2 or Gate 3. A shuttle runs from both gates to the main drop-off points, and parking is available inside.
Bring these on every visit:
- Your MRN card, once you have one.
- Your CNIC, or the patient's B-Form for a child.
- Old reports, scans and the medicines you take.
The hospital does not publish consultation fees on these pages. Ask the fee when you call to book, because it differs by consultant.

Emergency is through Gate 2 and runs 24 hours
LNH's Accident and Emergency department is entered through Gate 2 and works 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Patients are registered and triaged, which means the most serious cases are seen first. The hospital lists two different pairs of emergency numbers.
The visitor guide gives 021-34412745 and 021-34412760, while the LNH emergency services page gives 021-34412245 and 021-34412445. We could not tell which pair is current, so save all four. In a real emergency, do not waste minutes on calls: go in, or call 1122 for an ambulance.
Visiting hours for admitted patients are 4:30pm to 6:30pm, although some wards differ.
Other Karachi hospitals when LNH is full or too costly
LNH is a private hospital, so every visit is paid. Government hospitals such as JPMC and Dow University Hospital charge far less, and some charities treat patients free. Pick by cost, distance and whether you need a specific consultant.
The JPMC Karachi OPD runs government clinics on weekday mornings, and Dow University Hospital takes appointments by phone. For heart trouble, NICVD's chest pain units treat patients free in Sindh.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 25 October 2026. We read Liaquat National Hospital's OPD schedule, Sunday clinic schedule, outpatient services, patient and visitor guide, accident and emergency, and contact pages on lnh.edu.pk on 25 October 2026. Phone numbers, gates, registration steps, visiting hours and clinic times come from those pages; the Sunday speciality count is our tally of that day's schedule. The hospital gives two different pairs of emergency numbers, and the contact page still carries a Ramadan timing note, so we report both. We did not book or visit, and fees are not published. This page is information only; for medical advice, speak to a doctor.
