Musaned Visa Check for Saudi Domestic Worker Visas: Iqama, Hijri Date and Request ID, Fees and Rejection Fixes
Check a Saudi domestic worker visa on Musaned with the employer's Iqama, a Hijri date and the Request ID. Fees of SAR 2,000 and SAR 172.50, and rejection fixes.

A Musaned visa check runs on the Visa Status Inquiry page at musaned.gov.sa, and it needs three details from the Saudi employer: their National ID or Iqama number, their date of birth or Iqama expiry date in Hijri, and the Request ID. A house driver or maid waiting in Pakistan cannot run it alone, so the first job is to get those details from the family that is hiring you.
Musaned is the Saudi government platform for hiring domestic workers, run under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Below you will find what each field means, how long a request takes, what the SAR 2,000 visa fee and the SAR 172.50 platform fee cover, why requests get rejected, and how the visa moves on to the Foreign Ministry. We read the Musaned Visa Status Inquiry page and its visa questions on 31 October 2026.
The Musaned visa check uses the employer's details, not yours
The inquiry form has three boxes, and all three describe the Saudi employer's file. Your passport number is not one of them. That is why a domestic worker in Lahore or Peshawar usually needs the employer, or the recruitment office, to share the Request ID and run the search.
| Field on the form | What goes in it | Who has it |
|---|---|---|
| National ID/Iqama number | The employer's Saudi ID or Iqama | The employer |
| Date of birth or Iqama expiry (Hijri) | One of the two dates, in the Hijri calendar | The employer |
| Request ID | The visa request number from Musaned | Employer's account, email or SMS |
Musaned's own answer on the Request ID is clear: it sits in the visa requests list inside the applicant's account, in the email, or in the text message sent after applying. If the family says "the visa is applied" but cannot read you a Request ID, ask again.

How to run the Musaned visa status inquiry
The check takes about a minute once the three details are ready. The Hijri date is the part that trips people up, because most employers know their Iqama expiry in the Gregorian calendar. Their Absher or Iqama record shows the Hijri date.
- Open musaned.gov.sa and switch to English.
- Click Visa Status Inquiry in the menu.
- Type the employer's National ID or Iqama number.
- Enter the date of birth or the Iqama expiry date in Hijri.
- Type the Request ID and press Search.

A Musaned request is answered within 24 hours, then MOFA takes 3 days
Musaned says it processes a request within 24 hours, though some go to a Quality Officer to check attachments and take longer. Once the visa is issued, the employer waits 3 days for it to be activated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nobody has to visit an office.
The visa is electronic. Musaned says it can be printed from the applicant's account. After activation, the visa moves to the Foreign Ministry's platform, where you can check the Saudi visa by passport number with the visa number the employer gives you.
Two limits matter before anyone pays. The nationality and the job must be listed in Musaned's options. And Musaned says a domestic worker cannot be recruited straight from their home country without a recruitment office.
The visa fee is SAR 2,000 and Musaned's fee is SAR 172.50
Musaned lists two separate charges. The visa fee of SAR 2,000 is the government fee. The electronic service fee of SAR 172.50, including VAT, is the platform's own cost. Both are charged to the applicant, and on Musaned the applicant is the Saudi employer.
| Charge | Amount | Rule on Musaned's page |
|---|---|---|
| Visa fee (government) | SAR 2,000 | Paid on every channel |
| Musaned e-service fee | SAR 172.50 with VAT | Paid by MADA, Visa or MasterCard |
| Applying at a ministry office | No e-service fee | The SAR 2,000 visa fee still applies |
| Refund after rejection | E-service fee back | Within 21 working days of the request |
If a request is rejected, the employer does not pay the e-service fee again on a new request. The refund is claimed in the account under My Data, then Balance Recovery.
So if a recruiter in Pakistan asks you for "visa money", ask what it is for. The two Musaned charges sit in the employer's account, and a straight answer about who paid them tells you a lot about the recruiter.

Musaned rejects requests for four common reasons
Musaned's answers list four rejection messages. The employer has gone past the maximum number of visas for their social status, their government services are suspended, they have unpaid traffic violations, or the visa fee was not paid. All four are on the employer's side.
- Visa limit reached: the employer's quota, based on their social status classification, is used up.
- Services suspended: Musaned points the employer to the Ministry of Interior's circulars inquiry on Absher.
- Traffic fines: unpaid violations block the request.
- Visa fee unpaid: the employer pays it through SADAD and the request moves on.
Cancellation is the employer's choice. Within 72 hours of issue, Musaned cancels the visa directly. After 72 hours, the request goes to the Foreign Ministry automatically. You cannot change the nationality or job on a request once it is filed.
Finish the Pakistan side before you fly
A Musaned visa covers the Saudi side only. In Pakistan you still need a licensed recruiter, a Gulf medical and the protector stamp from the Bureau of Emigration. Skipping any of them is how domestic workers end up stuck at the airport or unprotected in Saudi Arabia.
Start by checking that the overseas recruitment agency holds a licence. Then follow the steps for emigrant protection before you work abroad. Keep a copy of the visa and the Musaned contract details with you, not only on the agent's phone.
Common questions
Can I check a Musaned visa with my passport number?

Where is the Musaned Request ID?
In the employer's Musaned account under visa requests, or in the email and text message sent after they applied.
How long does a Musaned visa take?
Musaned says requests are processed within 24 hours, with some sent for an extra document check. The visa then takes 3 days to activate at the Foreign Ministry.
How much is the Musaned visa fee?
SAR 2,000 for the visa, plus SAR 172.50 including VAT for Musaned's e-service. Both are paid from the employer's Musaned account.
What is the Musaned helpline number?
Musaned lists 920002866, open 24 hours a day, plus email at care.e@musaned.gov.sa, WhatsApp and live chat.
Can a Saudi family hire me directly without an agent?
Musaned says domestic workers cannot be recruited directly from their home country without a recruitment office.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 31 October 2026. We read Musaned's visa questions and answers, the Visa Status Inquiry page and the Help and Support page at musaned.gov.sa on that date. The fees, timings, rejection reasons and contact channels come from those pages. We did not run a search with a real Request ID, so we could not see the status screen or its wording. The pages do not say whether a worker outside Saudi Arabia can open a Musaned account.
