To check a Saudi visa from Pakistan, open the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform at visa.mofa.gov.sa, use the inquiry box on the home page, and search with the visa application number plus your passport number. If you only have the visa number, the Print Visa page lets you pair your passport number with the visa number and choose Pakistan as nationality.

The common mistake is typing a passport number alone and expecting a result. Every search on the platform needs two numbers that belong to the same file. Below you will find which pair to use for a work, family visit, Umrah or domestic worker visa, what each status message means, and what to do when the check shows nothing. We opened the MOFA visa platform and its Print Visa page on 31 October 2026.

The Saudi visa check needs two numbers, not one

The inquiry box on visa.mofa.gov.sa offers three ways to search: by Application Number, by Visa Document Number, or by Visa Application Number. Each choice asks for a second number, and the search only runs when both numbers match one file.

Search bySecond number askedWho usually holds it
Application NumberID Number of the sponsorThe Saudi sponsor or company
Visa Document NumberID Number of the sponsorThe sponsor, after the document is issued
Visa Application NumberPassport NumberThe traveller in Pakistan

The "ID Number" field means the Saudi National ID, the Iqama ID, or the Computer ID for companies and government bodies, as the platform's help note says. A worker in Pakistan rarely has the sponsor's number, so the third option is the one built for you.

Check a Saudi visa by passport number on the Print Visa page

The Print Visa page, under Services for Visitors, is the closest thing to a passport number search. You choose a first value and a second value from a list, pick your nationality, type the picture code and press Inquire. Your passport number can be one of the two values.

The list of values on that page holds five choices: Visa Number, Passport Number, Application Number, Haj Ministry Reference Number and First Name. So a Pakistani with a visa number from the agent can search with Visa Number plus Passport Number. A pilgrim can use the Haj Ministry Reference Number from the Umrah company.

  1. Open visa.mofa.gov.sa and press the English button at the top. The page opens in Arabic.
  2. Choose Services for Visitors, then Print Visa.
  3. Leave the device type alone unless you have a barcode or passport reader.
  4. Set the first value to Passport Number and type it exactly as printed.
  5. Set the second value to Visa Number, Application Number or the Haj reference you were given.
  6. Choose Pakistan as nationality, type the picture code and press Inquire.

What each Saudi visa status message tells you

The platform shows short system messages rather than a progress bar. The wording below comes from the platform's own English text. Read the message with your sponsor, because the next step usually sits with them or with the visa office in Pakistan.

Message on screenWhat it points toYour next step
Visa has been printedThe visa is issued and printedMatch the name and passport number, then keep a copy
Application is still not printedThe file exists but no visa is printed yetWait, and ask the sponsor or agent for the stage
Application is still not used by external officeThe visa office abroad has not acted on it yetAsk the agent which office holds your passport
There is no visa exported yetNo visa has come out of the fileDo not book a flight
Visa has expiredThe validity has run outThe sponsor must apply again
There is no result foundThe two numbers do not match a fileRecheck both numbers and the nationality

The meanings in the middle column are our reading of short system phrases. The platform does not publish a glossary, so if a message worries you, ask the sponsor to read the record in their own account.

Work, family visit, Umrah and domestic worker visas use different numbers

Which pair works depends on who applied. A company or Saudi relative applies under their own ID, so they hold the application number. A pilgrim gets a Haj Ministry reference through the Umrah company. A house driver or maid starts on Musaned before the visa reaches this platform.

  • Work visa: the employer applies. Ask for the visa number and check it with your passport number.
  • Family visit visa: the relative in Saudi Arabia applies on the platform and receives the application number.
  • Umrah visa: the licensed company issues it through Nusuk. The steps for an Umrah visa from Pakistan through Nusuk start there.
  • Domestic worker visa: the employer uses Musaned first. The Musaned visa status check runs on the employer's Iqama and request ID.

The platform also carries a banner for a new site called KSA VISA at ksavisa.sa, marked as a trial version. We did not use it for checks. The old platform still ran the inquiry when we read it.

When the Saudi visa check shows nothing

An empty result almost always means one number does not match the file. Recheck the passport number, then the second number, then the nationality. If all three are right, the visa may not exist yet, or it may sit under an old passport.

  • Renewed passport: search with the old passport number if the visa was applied before renewal.
  • Typing slips: zero and the letter O, and one and the letter I, are the usual errors.
  • Picture code: it takes up to six characters. Press the refresh arrow if it is unclear.
  • Agent with no number: if someone says "your visa is in process" but cannot give any number, treat that as a warning.

Check a Saudi work visa before you pay any agent

A visa you cannot find on visa.mofa.gov.sa is not a visa to pay for. Run the check yourself, compare the name and passport number with your own documents, and only then move money. Licensed agents can be checked separately.

For a job, the visa is one paper among several. You should check the overseas job agency's licence and finish the protector stamp. If the employer asked for a Gulf medical, you can also check the GCC medical report by passport number. Once in the Kingdom, the iqama becomes the number that matters, and the steps to check iqama validity and exit re-entry take over.

Common questions

Can I check my Saudi visa with only my passport number?

No. Every search needs a second number from the same file, such as the visa number, the application number or a Haj reference, along with your passport number.

Which website is the official Saudi visa check?

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa platform at visa.mofa.gov.sa. Sites that charge a fee to "check" your Saudi visa are not run by the Saudi government.

What nationality should I choose on the Print Visa page?

Choose Pakistan, the nationality of the passport you are travelling on, even if you live in the UAE or Qatar.

How do I check an Umrah visa by passport number?

Use the Print Visa page with Passport Number as one value and the Haj Ministry Reference Number from your Umrah company as the other.

My employer applied for my work visa. Can I check it myself?

Yes, if the employer gives you the visa number or the visa application number. Pair it with your passport number.

Does a printed visa mean I can fly?

Not on its own. The airline and the FIA counter also check passport validity, the protector stamp for work visas and the medical where one is required.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 31 October 2026. We read the home page inquiry form and the Print Visa page on visa.mofa.gov.sa in English on that date, including the field lists and the platform's own status phrases. We did not run a search with a real application or visa number, so we could not see a live result screen. The platform publishes no glossary of its status messages, so the meanings in our table are our reading of them. We did not test the new KSA VISA site.
